congratulations, whatever the figure may be,india is growing fast economically, that is correct, however, many people are still being left out. in the urban slums or in the countrysides. with people eating mudcakes just to go by the day, this was what i read in the news. beggars also roam the streets according to some of my tourist friends and indian migrant friends.
all these would be better used for the benefit of the poor.

Sometimes in news they do show real poverty in remote villages, that's sad and the majority of the 25% poverty.

I dunno...I'm Indian and I do support a good Army (obviously) but then our national fuel stocks aren't looking too good. We wouldn't be able to carry out a theater wide campaign for more than 3 months- and I'm being optimistic. Our Army, Navy, AF is strong, but lacks fuel supplies to sustain a campaign for long periods of time.
