*reads comments* the fourth dimension... I heard that the first three dimensions are hight, width, and length and that the fourth dimension currently only exists in theory. scientists think that this dimension might be time but it isn't proven so technically it can be anything...

I thought the program was called 4D because it sounded cool and would make people want to buy it. that's the reason why most products are given the name they have

4D just means something like it's 3d but easy to work with so it gives the fourth dimension. It's no actual feature :)

You're wrong, 4D means time, you can animate it, which means it has a fourth dimension. Assumptions are for Asses.

Okay. I know how to do the hair thing now.

But my pc won't render the whole timeline. when I click render it just shows a still image. Can anyone help?

Press CTRL+B (this brings up render settings). Then in the tab "Output" set "All frames" next to "Frames" right above "Frame step". Or you can enter a sequence manually (eg frame 1 to 150). The tab "save" manages the output. I usually select "Quicktime Movie" as the output format.

About 5 to 6 minutes. Not so very long :) i could just sit and watch, cinema 4D has very good render times :)
