  • ferg303 do you have the original video of the entire show, if so could you upload it on megaupload?

  • Eskimo!

  • Everything in this clip looks so dated but the music is still as great as ever.............a lot of happy memories too.

  • I WAS THERE when this was on TV i was actually in the crowd :)

  • I can remember being at a gig in Brum when they changed their name from the Sisterhood to The Mission.

Saw this band every time they played the Midlands in their early years - then I met my ex-wife....lol.

I can still remember Wayne saying, "This is for the impatient one" when I kept shouting for 1969 at the Odeon in Birmingham......good old memories.

    Rich

  • I love The MIssion. There was a real party atmosphere when you went to see them.

  • Hey, i went out wi that lass on the shoulders!

  • Did Wayne just dedicate this to the Bear in Bedford?

  • Great & rare Video !

    Thx for sharing it !

@criddington : in Case of Marian i guess you´re right....

However - i do like them both - mission & the sisters....

    oldschool baby !

  • Back in this time there was absolutely zilch tolerance of old hairy rockers in chart music, so I lked The Mission because they permitted a guitarist who looked like Steve Hilage if you squinted your eyes. Of course, looking back they were dreadful. In any case, they gave me a couple of fun evenings.

  • I think to say they were "dreadful" is a bit over the top. Certainly they produced plenty of "lemons", but this song is f*cking great !

  • pretentious

  • Saw them on this tour. Barras in Glasgow and Julianne Regan stood beside me for the first few songs.

I was in a daze. Still am. Don't know why I didn't just lift her up and take her home with me! Gorgeous and stunning woman. And The MIssion were great that night.

  • still remember the goosebumps that night, mission were awsome and all about eve, first time i heard of them, were brilliant!!

  • Great stuff,at least here in the states live they mixed a bit of marian into the song as well as satisfaction.Keep the faith!

  • i remember watching this, still got it on video somewhere. Awesome.

  • extraordinary live version

the best , with the Crusade Tour USA version

  • ¡original¡ 1986

  • the intro guitar part sounds A LOT like Sisters of Mercy "Marian"...c'mon Wayne Hussey...I still like this song though!

  • I've got a feeling Wayne wrote the music for 'Marian' when he was in the Sisters, so he obviously felt it was good enough to use again

  • Actually he wrote Marian with Gary Marx

  • seen them when they are at there pomp, glasgow barrowlands and numerous other shows, barrowlands was an amazing show

  • Best time ever, mission in the barras touring this..bliss!

  • showin yer age `ol timer

  • I have just uploaded 2 more songs from this show.

  • The Tube was a fantastic show for me ..... Friday night after a long week at work .... totally kna**ered and treated to live music from great bands like The Mission .... Over 20 years later I still love the Mission :-)

  • children was the most album heartache

  • Greatest show ever to grace british televisions.

  • killing joke... killing joke began playing in those times all the same? i doubt it

  • how lucky you are.!!

i was just 10 ys old when all this you enjoyed in 80's happened, i missed it all.

i still continued to dress up in those clothes though, i'm not ashamed of it.

  • ...ah those were the days!...when you could get away with wearing silly hats and be taken totally seriously!

  • One of the best of them! Very good band!Is pretty hard to find this quality in today´s music!

  • ESKIMOS RUN!!!

  • What great times, decadence and hair what happened to our hair my kids will never beleive I used to have long hair and dress up like the legend Mr Hussey. Where's the bloody tardis I want to go back in time.

  • ORIGINAL 1986

  • Many faces I used to gig with on this one! Stoko, Ramone, Jenny, John O'Hare, my namesake Steve Bradley and bro Chris and my good mate from here in York, Carl!

  • I saw them live in Sheffield and of many gigs I saw at around that time (Killing joke, spear, Cult, New Model) thought they were absolutely superb.

  • so much better que Led Zepellin

    ORIGINAL

  • I still believe in God

But God no longer believes in me.

  • awsome band....good set they played...so many faces there i remember

  • craig plays a mean bass

  • love a lot of bands from the 80s but to my ears New Model Army are the only ones I listen to since 15 years and I never find them boring Mission I like few songs but an whole album already is too much

  • I have to agree. I followed the Mission from 1986 to end of 1990 (140 gigs), but to be honest, even by the end of that period I was listening to other stuff. Can't listen to them at all now. Oddly, I still listen to New Model Army. I think New Model Army didn't date so badly, because they were never 'in'. They still make some good records. The same can't be said for the Mission.

  • the best band of rock and roll of the history

  • is it a joke?

  • Definitely not the best rock band in the world, but there were a few years there where they encapsulated the art of rock'n'roll. I can't listen to them now, but they definitely changed my life and damn nearly killed me in the process. My liver will never be the same.

  • I was there!

  • Wayne just announced they are splitting up

  • the only genuine gothic rock band, heart, soul, poetry,a bible of words,A.W.E.S.O.M.E and A.M.A.Z.I.N.G

  • brazz44? *this* band? The Mission. (in the states called the Mission UK) Shepherds Bush in late Feb. (yes I have tickets, and yes, I have to hop the 'pond'.
