  • You are a little obsessed with the parrot toys -_-

  • You crazy parrot lady lol!

  • I wish my wife would let me have one

  • Your birds are very colorful and bright. I wish that I had more too. I guess it just takes a love of birds. Our guests think that we are crazy for having a bird. Especially when I try to talk on the phone and Cookie is squawk'in. I like your cages too. We could use a nice one like yours. Cookie would like it. Her's isn't too bad, but we can always do better.

  • Sry I didn't finish... anyway I think it was kind of smart because at least he won't catch it.... :( but it's really sad that he's plucking his feathers out. Hopefully he would stop. So was the vaccine irritating his skin or what? Poor Jaarad, I hope he's ok, And that his sister is happy, wherever she is in heaven right now.

  • They really seem happy. It must be hard to keep them all so happy, especially when there's 6 of them! Bless Jaarad, I hope he stops his plucking soon. He probably will. It was smart to give him the vaccine against polyomavirus!

  • Cute birds! I have a question about your male Eclectus parrot. Was he plucking or did he have the beak and feather disease? I think that all of your birds are sweet. Both of the Eclectuses are very cute. I love the Amazons voice. My Timneh African Grey, Rudy, says hi! He likes watching this video. He thinks he is meeting birds in person and hes in my lap right now XD. Good luck birdkeeping (not that you'll need luck ;) )

  • Jaarad (male ekkie) developed this plucking behavior after getting a vaccination for polymalvirus. He started plucking the site where the vet administered the vaccine. sadly, we didn't know that we should NOT have had him get the vaccine! Very few if any parrot people have it given to their companions.Jaarads sister died from polymavirus at the pet shop where we bought Jaaead, so we did it as a precaution for 2 yrs in a row! First year he never plucked bt aftr the 2nd vaccine the next yr he did

  • for a name like koolguy ur sure did the opposite. did making that remark actually make u feel better inside? i hope ur not over the age of 18 making comments like that

  • Thanks for taking up for me, I 'preciate it and I just try to ignore the haters' like Mr. Koolguy. He was just prob. bored and I bet he secetly likes parrots too. Probably alot of people think I go overboard for my parrots, but I just love my sweeties, besides, my grown son says I don't spend enough time with the parrots. Oh well.

  • You are my idol!!! I don't know how you do it i just own a green cheek conure and i barely have any time for myself I don't know how you do it! I barely have any social time (except with my bird!) don't African greys and all of your other parrots need lots of attention? how do you go to work or go out with your friends? Well anyways I really respect you:) Pleas respond back.

  • Hi Budgie; Thx for the positive feedback and question. I have 4 parrots and all 4 are in the parrot room, together, where they can see each other 24/7. They're like a flock, & they consider me to be part of their flock/family. They communicate to each other if they want to while I'm at work. They are upstairs now, while I am down & they may communicate to me also & I'll call up the steps to them "Hi, Pretty Birds". They don't have to see me all the time but they know I love & care for them.

  • One more thing, I do have a routine (Birds LOVE routines. When I get up the first thing I do is go to the Bird Room, smile happily and say Good Morning to each parrot, then I open the blinds, turn on the radio, give fresh water and special morning treats (food).

  • Wow you are a very good bird keeper:)

  • I RARELY ever post comments, but when I saw this video I thought "wow that looks like a lot of work." I just want to give you kudos for devoting so much time to such precious animals, espically when you love it! Your a bit on the crazy side with all your birds, but so is everyone else in the world, INCLUDIG ME! well i just wanted to ask if you ever go out or have a socail life, because all of those parrots need LOTS of devoted time. OH and you have inspiried me to own a sun conure. Comment back.

  • i have a male like Kia....he's 28!

he does alot of crazy stuff until i pull the camera out!!!

    stop by!!

  • Done! I sent you a message at your website and saw all 3 of your videos, Sparks a real sweetie!

  • COOL! All of them seem very happy (well, all but one :( ) ...hey, I have a question....aren't there vests you can buy to put over the bird's chest so they can't pluck their feathers? Poor guy.....

  • Yep. I went to websites and gave his weight and specifications (I have a birdie scale) and we tried 2 different vests, plus I made one for him. I just think its habitual for him now, but we aren't giving up!

  • Cool....it's obvious you're one hell of a bird caretaker!!

  • How does the quaker get along with the African Grey?

  • Pepper (Quaker) lives w/my friend about 60 miles from me, but he does bring her to my house for the occasional weekend. She LOVES Jaared, the self plucking masle Eclectus that she lives with, (along with my friend) They are in separate cages, but close enough to reach out and mutually feed each o9ther, so the answer is she only gets along (and loves) the male Ekkie. Most parrots of dirrefent spieces aren't the best of friends. Be very cautious, because a large parrot can hurt a smaller one.

  • You are very welcome. Would you happen to have myspace? if you do you can add me my url is gisellelynncross. okay well have a great day! you could meet my birds there! and my monkeys!

  • aww thanks for the info but altho i have a myspace (i believe I do!), I never use it or check it...

    :-(

  • so cute how old?, how many?

  • Gypsy, the red and blue female Eclectus is about 16 yrs old or so, Maxi, the Afr. Grey is 8, Kia (YNA) is close to 7 and Angel, the Lutino Ringneck is 5. Visiting sweet Jaared, the self plucker is 7 and the Quaker Pepper is almost 9. I love 'em all!

  • cool thanx

  • your birds are so adorable. I love your amazon and african grey.

Aww thats so sad that your one parrot plucks but some parrots are just like that. I know you are a great owner!

  • ^j^ ^j^ ^j^

    Thank you!

  • what is that one song you had playing that said he dont wanna love you that right way he dont wanna please tell me because i have been dieing to hear that song

  • Hey there BirdLover;

That song is called "Let It Go", by Keyshia Cole, and it features Lil kim and Missy Elliot. The song goes "caus' he he don't wanna love you the right way, then let it go...etc, etc)
