the problem is much more complex than just starting a bussiness, or a bank . the cruz of the problem is NOT understanding our fixed geological position in the world . in short no country of our own; and the ability to gather and fabricate the natural resouses of the land . no people can truely advance with out the natural resourses of the land. but even if we could the capitalist country would marginalize our country juat like they are doing to all black nations , like haiti to name one.
This is new to me. What kinds of measures are the 50% unemployed in the ghetto doing to get jobs? Do they keep getting turned down constantly? I see "now hiring" signs all the time at places where black people work, and the classified ads are full of tons of job openings. If racism is really the problem, which would be awful, then 50% of the ghetto ought to get together and start their own businesses and whip the asses of the racist other businesses at their own game.
That is a very simplistic view. Blacks do attempt to start their own businesses. But get turned down by banks for small business loans. Racism ain't fire hoses and dogs turned on us no more. It's more systematic and less blatant. And about those "now hiring" signs...they rarely pay a wage that someone can survive on. So many turn toward the illegal ghetto economy.
What about starting their own banks? I know there are black bankers out there who would get into that. There are enough black people in the U.S. to fill up a small country. It seems that there has got to be a way for black people in the ghetto to come together in large numbers and make things happen. I hope there is. Racism is so sneaky and slick these days that the only way to fight it is to outdo it.
@SenseiOfSoul I've patronized lots of black owned businesses and most of them plain suck. Most of the crummy little ghetto stores are run by third worlders who have even less money and access to banks as blacks do. Blacks can't even run a bodega.

Because when they give you polls and statistics of unemployment rates, and who likes this president, and who approves of this and that... They ask a small percentage of people. The unemployment rates usually measured by 1 in every X amount of people out of X amount of total surveyed are unemployed. Plus, they don't include the homeless.

unemployment is taken as a ratio, therefore in a "ghetto", the ratio of unemployed to employed will be higher.
And most of the ghetto's in America are filled by blacks and latino's.
