Does this scene take place before clu rebelled and went crazy? Cuz his programing was green. Or was this taking place during the purge and he already went crazy. Cuz that might've been an iso he killed.
This is not a scene from the movie. Its a comic con teaser saying yes were making Tron. Nothing in it is official. There just saying, Hey see our movie. Its not a movie scene. Notice how Qurra says, There vehicles arnt designed for outlands. Yet in this they did. AND CLUS FREAKING YELLOWISH GREEN!!!!!! Obviously not acurate color
Does anyone know how the light trails are created on TRON Legacy bikes? Im trying to duplicate and learn that technique for using on text and graphics.. Can it be done in After effects and if so with what plugins? Thanks
there're probably hundreds of ways to do it using both particles and/or solids... diffiicult to say exactly how they did it. i'd say it's nearly impossible to do with after effects, you'd need programs capable of true 3D like maya and 3D tracking like NUKE.
@MrDampkring So far the closest I can get in After Effects is using Trapcodes Particular Plugs light streak effect. Its similiar but I know After Effects isnt even close to the program that was used to design Tron. Anyone know exactly what program was used to make the light streaks in Tron Legacy and what Plug-ins were used?
This was a short trailer they released 1-2 year(s) ago to bring attention to the movie itself. In the movie, the light cycles, the area and the clothes are a bit different but the essential is there : Flynn and Clue with the difference in age, Flynn living isolated, multi-levels on the cycle arena (the spinning road is an obvious example), wings to slow down. Those elements weren't in the initial movie but are in Legacy.
Besides, you could have read what others said before posting
Just seen it in 3-D IMAX. I knew it would be great because the movie critics hated it. WOW! I remember how revolutionary the origional was in 82 (though cheezy by todays standards). The timeframe between Trons is too wide but that is the only flaw I see with this movie... nothing cheezy about this. And the Lightcycles and Lightbuggy, who wouldn't want to have one? The former was cool in 82 and has only improved. The special effects are at a point where I often don't know whats real.
