"How do you pay a bonus when your company is in essence flat broke?"
Been wondering the same thing myself. And youre right about Ron Paul. He's the Cassnadra of the R party.
Every major policy decisiion of the Bush Adm he disagreed with (E.g., iraq, excess spending, letting the fed run wild w/ too-low interest rates) , they ignored him, he turned out to be right, and the R's got their heads handed to them two election cycles in a row mostly because of them.
If nothing else this has shown us what greedy bunglers these people in the financial sector truly are. It's time to scrap the TARP and start supporting the people that do real work.
Tried that, didn't work. Elections are rigged, we all know this (Diebold). Bankers bribe the way for their lackies to legalize their extortion and corruption.
I've voted, I've protested and written letters, made phone calls, and Bush and Cheney are still Billionaires living large and not one government criminal has ever been brought to justice.
Hence, there is no confidence in our Government or our Lending Institutions, I think the American people (at least for myself) are finished with both.
I understand your concern and in 1 way agree. But; if we are to pay those bonuses; that means the tax payers pay it; not the government; not the FED; but the people. Do you owe AIG? I know I don't have a single contract with them; so why should I be responsible fro paying someone elses contract that i never agreed to? Obama is a fraud; all the idiots who looked past great leaders of the people like Ron Paul and voted fro O"bama are idiots. Hopefully we can correct this mistake by not giving in.
Just think of this AIG has recieved over 100Billion in bailout money because they have losses in excess of 67Billion; yet they are giving out 1 Billion in bonuses. How do you pay a bonus when your company is in essence flat broke? With most companies they have clauses that protect the company and its shareholders from things like this. At least the ones that are looking out for the people and not fat cats.

"Jesus Holy this guy for prez 2012."
Glad I'm not the only one who thought that.
Isnt' it nice to hear an R who can take a stand without a) whining, b) vitriol, or c) wandering off into incoherent nonsense ??
