I'll be honest; I have been playing for a couple years, and am pretty much a gearhead more than a player. I also have a long woodworking background, so now I create guitars using pawn shop buys where I salvage the neck, occasional bridge, and electronics. Then I build a new, artistic body. Sometimes I keep them, sometimes I get a buyer ...

@DocHelliday well i have one and i always get either a real twangy sound or it will sound like i put my amp underwater i'm not a huge fan of it but its very easy to move around the fret board
@xXCUSHBEASTXx, Gotta love the twang man. I hear you about the muffled tones, I'm currently in the middle of painting mine and putting all new electronics and pickups.
@Analvomits, I couldn't tell you how your individual guitar is, but if you feel like it plays fine and it doesn't have any technical problems I'm sure it is fine. You might want to take it in to a music store (Guitar Center should be your last option) and have them set it up. That could cost up to $60 depending on what adjustments are needed. I know how to set up my own guitars so I can avoid the $60 set up fee. It plays just as good as any of the Strats I've played.
@Analvomits, awesome man. Yeah if you find anything on the guitar getting in the way of you practicing like you feel like a fret is poking you or something then you can take it in but theres no reason to put it under a microscope really. Its a cool guitar, better than the Squier I started out on.
Thank you. I agree. I'm trying to figure out a way to counteract that. I used to be vegan, so I couldn't get a suede traps. Now that I'm not, I think I might go that way, I've heard that, that is the best solution. Problem with suede straps is to me they are too short.

@DocHelliday People forget that guitars are just pieces of wood with some strings and some wires sometimes.

Nice video. I just picked up one of these at a local discount store for $50. Sounds and plays surprisingly good, VERY neck heavy though.
