@RedeemerNDestroyer This is not Unreal Tournament, its Unreal, which came out in April of 1998. It was a single player game but it did come with a multiplayer mode, although this was a bit weak compared to (at the time) Quake II's awesome deathmatch. Unreal Tournament was a multiplayer focused spin off series designed to address the short comings in Unreal's multiplayer. Unreal Tournament was released a year later at the end of 1999.

@Dreadborn Check out OldUnreal - do a google search for it. They have also released an unofficial bit Epic Games approved patch which add's a lot of new content. Not tested it myself as I plan to re-buy the game on Steam and play vanilla.

When I saw the rocket with lightning effects in the metro from the BF3 trailer I was thinking of this game. Lightning effects started with Unreal 1 or Quake 1 (I liked Unreal more).

And the high resolution textures looks better than from Black Ops. Black Ops has no details in wall textures, its all blurred.

the textures are utx packages. The weapons skins are packed into system files. Any changes there and you won't play multi from mismatch version.
