  • the point of this video is not to pay for it. IC wants to get the word out. yes, they want to raise money, but they hope that by seeing this film, you will care enough about the story behind it to support their cause. IC travels the country and puts on screenings for the public with the hope of gaining support, so this is no different. just make sure that if you are moved by it after watching, and if you care at all about these children, or the LRA, visit the website and donate.

  • It's good that you posted this online. People who are curious can look. They don't ahve to buy it and they can refer others to watch it for free. if you want to donate go on their site and buy a shirt, african nmade jewelry or another doc.

  • I have all the dvds I just don't have them with me... and I'm writing a 3 page paper on this for my English Comp class. =D Thanks YouTube! You're a life saver!!!!

  • @KillerDragon117 Strangely I am Cameron not You Tube hahah!

  • @asburycameron Sorry Cameron.... I thought that saying YouTube would be better then saying "Thanks whoever you are!" plus I was looking at other videos on different channels. I really appreciate that you took the time to put up this video. Thanks again. =)

  • although i love this documentary i find it a bit disrespectful to post online. i mean chances are it will get there anyways but posting it online defers people from purchasing it because they can just see it on youtube. and really i think that people should be paying to watch a film like this because the money is going to a good cause. i don't know.. if people care enough to watch it they should care enough to pay for it.

  • @AVERYfunperson HeyI see what your say, I aint mad. It just seems like you have alot of videos that should not have been put up by you. Also These three young men have said they want people to see this and it has no copyright. I have Rough Cut and also have all the bracelet movies. I bought them not downloaded them. It just the fact about spreading the word of this not just buying it but having people act. Its not completely about them money it about support and you can help spread the word!

  • They can help spread the word without using money!!!Its not disrespectful...At least my intentions werent to disrespect anyone....They said they want people to see this...and its important people do so they understand whats going on in the world...I have held stuff like showings at my home. raised money and sent it in. i have donated over a hundred dollars...That may not be much but you cant tell me what I am doing is wrong...Bobby, Laren and Jason have all said to inform people! Open your Eyes.

  • @asburycameron i get the spreading the word thing. i think the no copyright deal is just because they expect it to be shown at screenings and such but who knows. i just don't think youtube is the place for it. its my opinion but i feel like a trailer would spread the word and ENCOURAGE people to donate or buy the dvd themselves. again, just my opinion. as to videos i shouldn't have posted the only thing i can think of is songs and concert videos... which are on an entirely different level.

  • @AVERYfunperson

Which makes sense if you're aiming for the audience that already WILL donate money because they already care. The truth is that nowadays most people will not spend money on something they don't already want or know about. The purpose of this film is to spread awareness, and what better way than to not charge for the film? If exponentially more people are able to see the entire film for free, then won't at least SOME of those be willing to give more money?

  • @AVERYfunperson

Additionally, isn't it more disrespectful to post songs and concert videos when they don't want you to? They're not there to spread awareness about issues (some are, obviously), but for entertainment. Should people have to pay to learn about a problem or to be entertained?

I mean nothing I've said in an inflammatory way, I understand where you're coming from. I just don't think charging to spread awareness is the correct way to go about it.

  • @unalfredify there's nothing wrong with concert videos. i took the videos myself at shows where filming was allowed. as for songs, if they were a serious problem youtube would have taken them down by now. either way that's not what this is about. i see your opinion too and i understand it. i was just sharing my own.
