Meh I'm sure EA can survive having only Internet users... but I don't have any console hooked up to the Internet. Guess I just won't buy that game I have no interest in buying anyway.
if they made a yu-gi-oh game for the Wii U and u could uses that feature and a place mat i might actualy start buying yu gi oh cards again. and as for the pikachu skylanders thing i'll buy that as long as the figures cost less the $5 dollars
I know I'm beating a dead horse by saying this, but this pass thing is getting rediculous. I mainly buy games new, but my internet sometimes does not work so I can't put in the code that is needed. Plus, with some of these codes, it has to be put in before one starts playing the game, when I played Rage so I couldn't get the additional missions or the bonus weapons.Any company who does this should be ashamed of themselves. I am as capitalist as it gets but even I think this is getting rediculous
I remember when Online passes were first introduced, everyone told me to stop whining about how stupid and unnecessary they are...now look what happened.
So...to be hard core video gamers, we're all going to have to start buying micro-figurines that take up a thousand niche spots in our living spaces? *sarcasm start* "Oh, boy! Can't wait for the My Little Pony 100 piece action set that unlocks characters in the new My Little..." *sarcasm end* What? You know it's bound to happen. Right?
hey guys, please shut up about ACTA...wanna know why? BECAUSE IT'S TOO LATE!!! ACTA is a EFFING trade agreement that was signed in 2008 by BUSH. If america didn't sign it then we would get sanctioned by a lot of countries.
If nintendo does do DLC they'll probably do it like Victini in pokemon black and white where its only available for a certain amount of time forcing you to buy the game early and before the games price drops (a clever way of getting money unlike EA's dumbasses)
I'm very skeptical about the Nintendo Network. In the past Nintendo was going on and on about their online capabilities, especially with the Nintendo Gamecube. And recently the only online content we ever gotten out of Nintendo was the WiiWare and the Wii's Virtual Console.
I guess I will have to take the "wait and see" approach.
I like DLC when its DLC IE when its content added to a full game anyways with the way things are going I will be done with gaming soon Nintendo please don't let me down this time
Is it unoriginal when it is the original company making the name?... Just asking. Not a nintendo fanboy or anything. Just curious as to the rules of all that stuff.
Yeah see, that's what I figured. But honestly it still sounds like a good name and really no different from PSN and XBL. Unless they continue with their current naming trend and name it something like "WiiUAwe" Phonically "we, you, all"... wah... cringed at my own suggestion as I was thinking it... wah... cringed again... Ah! It won't stop! Why did I think that?!?!
@EternalYoshi we were naive back then, thinking that DLC would be a good expansion to our game, it was a time when Oblivion Horse Armor type DLCs were the exception rather than the rule, it was a time when we weren't charged $15 for maps repackaged from a single player campaign.
@EternalYoshi Nintendo said they themselves probably won't use DLC for their first party titles, they're really just enabling it for other devs to utilize.
@milkyway030897 However look at the Wii it didn't have HD or a good online service and yet it was one of the best selling cosoles ever, so if you make it HD with good online it is obviously going to be the best selling system ever.
@MrGinger2612 no the wii is bad he only people who enjoy are probably the people who bought the game cube, if u look around youtube for a while people even say they dont use their wii, so why rebuy the same shit again im defenitly not
@Gonk42 it sold more units cuz it was new at the time the motion control and in my opion if ur asking if ps3 and 360 suck, i say no there pretty fun they have fun games
@milkyway030897 touchscreen controller.. that's not new right ;)
btw online play is best done on PC, the largest and longest gaming communities of all time are there. CS, TF2, Starcraft, Warcraft, etc. Free DLC, no monthly payment, cheaper prices, etc.. the only downfall is that people need to smart enough to build their PC, but the good thing about that is that it weeds out the tards and 12 year olds most of the time.
@scootsie119 it seems you don´t get what i was saying... i was going to buy the game but in protest of them not leting me sell it when im done whit it im not going to give them my money at all. Fuck yes, that scan system will make everyone's dreams come true, and of course, I mean the dream of scanning your *insert trading card game here* deck in and then being able to play with that on a screen or holographic layout, just like YuGiOh.

Apparently the offline pass KoA is using is actually day-0 free DLC that isn't actually included on the disc; it seems someone has issued a flawed press release and not given the full facts. Thumb this up to negate the rage.

@Edunb412 same, i don't play yu gi oh or pokemon but the potential is great, and not only from a card game point of view tbh, from a sheer collecters point of view for ANY type of game, simply play online instead of hauling your goods across town to a mates house all the time, once in awhile sure, but not perhaps daily which could potentially break or lose shit. plus the fact they also come to life, finally images coming to life! can't wait to see the technology in all its glory.
@MrPhillz ACTA has already been signed by the EU, although it it is different to the ACTA which was going to be signed, and the copyright ideas were scrapped.. You should really look up this stuff, not rely on someone else.
@MrPhillz BECAUSE IT'S TOO LATE!!! ACTA is a EFFING trade agreement that was signed in 2008 by BUSH. If america didn't sign it then we would get sanctioned by a lot of countries.
@MrPhillz ACTA has been approved you moron. It now depends not only of other countries equal approval, but of burocratic issues such as the formation of a distinct instituion to monitor the problems it desires to avoid. And,in essence,it's a deal by farmaceutical companies that barely touches the Internet.
@howlingarmadillo Congrats retard, perhaps if you would see my nationality you would know that I'm neither american or british and that i wrote them as probable aproximations of how said words are said in my language.Logo,se vais criticar alguém,denota o contexto em que a crítica decorre;podes evitar o embaraço de aparentares ser medíocre em completo.
@RDV333 Not only is there no possible way for me to know your nationality, I also don't give a shit. Because you're still wrong. You can't write english, and spelling mistakes are really inexcusable since you have THE INTERNET. You know, the same thing I used to translate your Portuguese bullshit.
Approximations, capitalize I when it's used as a word, put spaces after punctuation, and capitalize the names of nationalities.
Get off of your high horse and deflate that swelled head, jackass.
@RDV333 I'm well aware that it has been approved dude, but it's the fact that they did this without our concern or opinion. Not even our elected politicians weren't involved with it. It's just all kinds of wrong in my book and i want to know more about it.
I'd be happy to be more informed of the subject (which i thumbed up your comment ;) ) and kind of wanted to hear what Screwattack's stance was about it, and what their opinion of it was.
@MrPhillz ACTA is INCREDIBLY soft. You're probably aligned with the people that didn't even read the bill, but proceeded to jump on the protest bandwagon. If you -did- read the bill, then your comprehension is laughable. Do your research next time instead of making yourself look stupid.
@Kelranox "I condemn the whole process which led to the signature of this agreement: no consultation of the civil society, lack of transparency since the beginning of negotiations, repeated delays of the signature of the text without any explanation given, reject of Parliament's recommendations as given in several resolutions of our assembly." quoted from a bbc article on Kader Arif, the European Parliament's rapporteur for the ACTA, who resigned over the issue on Friday.
@Kelranox chances are that you have not studied law which causes you not to see the small nuances in the bill that have terrifying consequences but are invisible to those who do not understand them. Also, the bill itself isn't the main problem. The main problem is the governments approach in releasing it, they are tricking their people into believing things that are not true and are avoiding necessary procedures. Reading something and interpreting it wrongly is worse than not readingit
@DeathG4n If you do study law, I feel bad for you. The initial draft of ACTA was bad, however the changes are soft. It states that countries are free to implement said guidelines how they see fit and if they have measures in place to stop piracy, then they don't have to implement additional measures, etc. This isn't a draconian law instated to limit freedom of speech, as much as you and other bandwagon jumpers may want it to be. It ensures a legal process must be utilized as well.
@Kelranox I never said I studied law, I said that I'm sure you didn't. You are short sighted since you completely missed the point of the quote. It's not only about the law it is about the way they are trying to push it through. It goes against democracy for a law that has many implications. Also that thing about implementing guidelines how they see fit, do you know that if a government asks twitter to make a tweet invisible for the entire country they have to comply since 2 days ago?
@DeathG4n Don't call someone out on something if you've no idea what you're talking about. Trying to push it through? It's already been signed. SOPA and PIPA went against democracy, ACTA is just trying to go through the proper channels in which to fight piracy. Protesting a bill that tackles something like piracy in a traditional manner hurts the credibility of people that actually protest bills which warrant it. Care to cite that bit at the end?
@Kelranox Reality speaks against how softly you take this law and the twitter thing is proof of that. It's reminiscent of china's google censorship and that prospect is terrifying to anyone who gives a shit about free speech. So as I said, keep believing what you want, but don't be surprised when the internet is comprised entirely of huge superwebsites that don't allow someone to even imply something that could be copyrighted.
@DeathG4n I can see that you're ignorant and choose to jump on protest bandwagon after bandwagon. There's a difference between protecting free speech and fighting for causes which don't need to be fought for. When SOPA and PIPA are revised, that would be the time to fight, but as far as ACTA is concerned, calm the fuck down. You aren't impressing anyone with the empty knowledge you're providing.
@Kelranox If you are going to ignore factual examples I give you than there is no point in discussing. I'm the first person who's gonna laugh at conspiracies but when I see that they are impeding free speech on twitter and that something is clearly wrong with the way this law is being handled then I am going to assume something is srsly wrong. Kader arif resigned from a great position to warn us about the way this law is being brought up, I'm not gonna let that go in vain
While I thought that Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure looked stupid (mostly because they tried to attach Spyro's name to it while making Spyro look absolutely retarded) I do admire the technology. It would be interesting to see how it could be used in other games. I'd love to see a Pokemon game with the same type of technology built in.
@EliteHero301 "original for once"? What the fuck are you talking about? Because they use a name they are unoriginal and stupid, but when Playstation makes a blatant rip off of the Wii that's ok?
@myshoescramp You know, I wonder have other people have realize that Sony is one of the biggest copy cats of the gaming industry, they copy anything from anyone and try to pass it off as their own idea when it really isn't. They been doing this to both Nintendo and MS...But mostly Nintendo.
@Edunb412 i rather not have cards, i just wish they released a "better" xbox version, i played a good one about a year ago for wii, but the xbox one sucks,i stoped playing right before the xyz (the black cards?) so it would be interesting to learn with them,

RDV333 1 month ago
@RDV333 Not only is there no possible way for me to know your nationality, I also don't give a shit. Because you're still wrong. You can't write english, and spelling mistakes are really inexcusable since you have THE INTERNET. You know, the same thing I used to translate your Portuguese bullshit.
Approximations, capitalize I when it's used as a word, put spaces after punctuation, and capitalize the names of nationalities.
Get off of your high horse and deflate that swelled head, jackass.
howlingarmadillo 1 month ago
@RDV333 I'm well aware that it has been approved dude, but it's the fact that they did this without our concern or opinion. Not even our elected politicians weren't involved with it. It's just all kinds of wrong in my book and i want to know more about it.
I'd be happy to be more informed of the subject (which i thumbed up your comment ;) ) and kind of wanted to hear what Screwattack's stance was about it, and what their opinion of it was.
In either case, thanks for letting me know man.

DeathG4n 1 month ago
@Kelranox chances are that you have not studied law which causes you not to see the small nuances in the bill that have terrifying consequences but are invisible to those who do not understand them. Also, the bill itself isn't the main problem. The main problem is the governments approach in releasing it, they are tricking their people into believing things that are not true and are avoiding necessary procedures. Reading something and interpreting it wrongly is worse than not readingit
DeathG4n 1 month ago
@DeathG4n If you do study law, I feel bad for you. The initial draft of ACTA was bad, however the changes are soft. It states that countries are free to implement said guidelines how they see fit and if they have measures in place to stop piracy, then they don't have to implement additional measures, etc. This isn't a draconian law instated to limit freedom of speech, as much as you and other bandwagon jumpers may want it to be. It ensures a legal process must be utilized as well.
Kelranox 1 month ago
@Kelranox I never said I studied law, I said that I'm sure you didn't. You are short sighted since you completely missed the point of the quote. It's not only about the law it is about the way they are trying to push it through. It goes against democracy for a law that has many implications. Also that thing about implementing guidelines how they see fit, do you know that if a government asks twitter to make a tweet invisible for the entire country they have to comply since 2 days ago?
DeathG4n 1 month ago
@DeathG4n Don't call someone out on something if you've no idea what you're talking about. Trying to push it through? It's already been signed. SOPA and PIPA went against democracy, ACTA is just trying to go through the proper channels in which to fight piracy. Protesting a bill that tackles something like piracy in a traditional manner hurts the credibility of people that actually protest bills which warrant it. Care to cite that bit at the end?
Kelranox 1 month ago
@Kelranox Reality speaks against how softly you take this law and the twitter thing is proof of that. It's reminiscent of china's google censorship and that prospect is terrifying to anyone who gives a shit about free speech. So as I said, keep believing what you want, but don't be surprised when the internet is comprised entirely of huge superwebsites that don't allow someone to even imply something that could be copyrighted.
DeathG4n 1 month ago
@DeathG4n I can see that you're ignorant and choose to jump on protest bandwagon after bandwagon. There's a difference between protecting free speech and fighting for causes which don't need to be fought for. When SOPA and PIPA are revised, that would be the time to fight, but as far as ACTA is concerned, calm the fuck down. You aren't impressing anyone with the empty knowledge you're providing.
Kelranox 1 month ago

@myshoescramp You know, I wonder have other people have realize that Sony is one of the biggest copy cats of the gaming industry, they copy anything from anyone and try to pass it off as their own idea when it really isn't. They been doing this to both Nintendo and MS...But mostly Nintendo.
