How can i set up my pc to stream to my tv using win 7 media centre?
I am currently using Mezzmo and it is working fine over wireless to my Sony Bravia Internet TV. however this is a free trial and is close to running out, Please help i am going crazy trying to find answers
@wokka33 does your tv do DLNA streaming? if so, you can stream from Media Center to it. otherwise the easiest but not cheapest way is to get an XBOX 360 and Gold Live membership and use the Media Center extender feature in the XBOX. its really well done and lets you watch live tv too.
What does Win7 have to do with TV viewing software on your laptop. There is always a lag when streaming a signal (TV) I can do all of this and more using Vista both 32 & 64 bit machines, streaming video, audio, live TV and or recording via TV tuner onto hard drive or sent to VCR / DVD via Sony Location Free system. I'm not trying to be4 a smart ass. I really am interested in what Win 7 can do better or that Vista can not do that 7 can? Thanks
@CAJUNNSC just a smoother OS overall and stable. if Vista MCE works fine for you, i'd stick with it.
I used Vista before Win7 and it ran great for me. I'm a geek and in turn always am running the latest version of most Operating Systems for my blogging needs and for my work needs.
Vista didn't originally support CableCards and that was huge for us HTPC users over the analog to digital switch where we all got screwed. Again, i just prefer WIn7 as an OS overall. :)
