  • gutaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa jajajjaja

  • Frank Zappa brought me here

  • I just went through all five Police albums. You're talking some 60 songs. Want to know how many weren't excellent? About five of six. How many bands can claim that. Amazing.

  • The song is from the movie "Copycat" not "Copykill"

  • Who is the man in the 1:36 minute please !!! tnks :)

  • @fannysintes59 That man would be Jeffrey Dahmer

  • @reguerra27 Thanks ! :)

  • @fannysintes59 Jeffrey Dahmer

  • best video made for this superb song..i can't stop listening to it every day.....good work

  • People need to learn to stop feeding the trolls.

  • Way too many Obamazombies posting in here. Go back to smoking your obama issued crackpipes and remain retarded.

  • @xMrsmileyfacex Ha! I voted for him and this made me laugh. But I got gypped- I never got my crackpipe!!

  • Wheres Obamas picture in this montage???? Bush is a rookie when it comes to the murder of humans.

  • @xMrsmileyfacex Shut up Bitch! Bush is the one who started the war, so go F yourself!!!!

  • @29zc Great rebuttle....what other gems do you have in your arsenel fucktard.

  • @xMrsmileyfacex You must be almost as retarded as the ideas you spew out. Try again.

  • To the uploader: I think the movie's named Copycat, partner.

  • shouldn't this song have been on the movie murder by numbers?

  • "It made me feel like they were part of me" J.D.

  • No matter what these guys played, they were alway tight. Copelands' drumming was simply phenomenal.

  • freaked me out seeing jeffrey dommer

  • @TheContressa Think you mean Jeffrey Dahmer*

  • youtube.com/watch?v=5bb2SzKcBFI

  • Put up your dukes!

  • Copeland's Father was manning the mid-east CIA desk, get it kids ? He's talking about mercenaries and spycraft in foreign countries here. And knew all about it through Dad !!

  • Besides that every one should know people are murdered for the diamonds we wear, people murder whole villages and start civil wars over the rights to mine rare components for our cell phones and game systems, We throw away those old technologies and a person in the 3rd world poison themselves to make change, from burning off components to sell back to you in all sorts of products, we are in some way all murders! And we are every one of us being slowly murdered, its the human condition.

  • @mlotshaw78 It's nice to know that not all of us are brainwashed and blind!

  • All presidents and most politicians are murders, it doesn't matter if they tell you right wing bedtime stories or left wing bedtime stories killing signing off on murder is a part of the Job i'll quote the night stalker at his sentencing "i have merely done on a smaller scale what politicians engage in on massive scale every day, you have to learn murder is murder weather its done for DUTY, PROFIT or for FUN!"

  • 0:34 he look like a normal person! lol

  • Why isn't GW Bush's pic featured in the montage?

  • @GypseyEyes Are you kidding? If any president it should be Truman . Get off the GWB shit he is out of office now stop beating a dead horse.

  • @GypseyEyes Are you serious? If any president it should be Truman , get off the GWB bashing train.

  • @THEFLESHMANN1 Truman did worse, but he had some reason to do it, despite how disproportionate his answer was.

Bush didn't have a real reason to invade Irak and sacrifice so many lives from every side of that war. Bush invented reasons. If anything, following his reasoning, he should have invaded NorthKorea or Iran first.

  • @GypseyEyes because Obama beat him in the amount of humans he killed than Bush. So I ask wheres Obamas picture in this montage?????

  • @xMrsmileyfacex What's more important: the number of innocent lives taken or the fact that they ANY were killed NEEDLESSLY? If you want President Obama's pic added, you are certainly free to resquest it - you do seem to know how to type. Rookies shouldn't start unprovoked wars with no exit plan that they can't finish. But then again, rookies don't usually put much thought into things and generally make a mess before someone else has to come along and clean up their mess.

  • @GypseyEyes Because not everyone is a douche like you. Grow up, Sport.

  • @venjude Grow up how - to be a two-year old name-caller like you LOL! Go back to school - and pay attention this time! LOL!

  • @GypseyEyes Or Obama's for that matter?

  • @SenorSpode you guys forget the ultimate killer: barney

  • @METALandRAPsucks Indeed!

  • @GypseyEyes Because Obama's busy overshadowing it. Obama = Bush v2.1

  • @SchreMichAn

This is well put together, Thank You.

  • Copycat

  • @Jeminakahn it was released in Germany under the title CopyKill since copycat is an english term

  • Such a great song. But why does the poster say "Copykill"? It was called "Copycat". Cool movie too. Sigourney Weaver was sensational in it, as was Holly Hunter.

  • "I like to dissect girls. Did you know I'm utterly insane?"

    Patrick Bateman

  • the version sting did with zappa is superior....much better chords....

  • at any speed

  • How many people have died in car crashes..and yet..I want a cheap..unsafe car..from AFrica...AFrican motorways.

  • 2:34 The FUCKING King !!!!

  • Movie's name is Copycat

  • Who's the clown at 4:09?

Creeped the hell out of me

  • @OtisCallsItGood His name is John Wayne Gacey ( picture before the clown) and the house where he buried 30+ bodies in the crawl space underneath.

  • @OtisCallsItGood yeah gacy was a repressed homosexual serial killer. weird dude to say the least

  • @alexmackovjak yeah he was a psycho if ever there was one but in my opinion ted bundy was the worst and ed gein was the craziest

  • Same with the thing at 1:56 the guy who made this is creepy and gross

  • Cool song but the movies name was changed to Copy Cat. And the song goes back WAY before that. :)

  • Comment removed

  • Using serial killers as images loses the message of the lyrics which is the murders ordered at a remove by powerful leaders in many nations. Their body counts vastly outnumber what any one individual can be capable of. The pogroms, the Holocaust, genocide in China, Cambodia, Africa all are on a horrific scale of death far beyond any of the examples shown here -- definitely Murder by NUMBERS.

  • Who is that guy in 1:05?!

  • @FlowerChild669 It looks like sting in that frankenstien movie he did.

  • My favorite song about the corrupting influence of power (especially political power).

  • @thehappyclub hahaha "political power" hahaha

  • @ernesto1985 - Not that these are the world's greatest sources, but, from Wikipedia: "Murder By Numbers" ... has lyrics comparing political power to the development of a serial killer. From Songfacts: "Sting said it is about the evil deeds of politicians."

  • its copycat,

do you love making easy cash fast?? /watch?v=M1B3CuP7GpM

  • Just don't use my coffee.

  • (its from the movie copycat)

  • the video is great stings music is completed with it perfecto

  • 1:14 = HOLY SHIT!!!!!!

  • The last 2 i know cause they appeared in one south park episode, but i cant recognise the third on in the pictures, is it 3:15 or is it 3:25?

  • who are these people in the pics?

can we have a list plz?

weaver. john dalmer, hannibal i know

    but the others?

    wow they are creepy

wonders if all serial killers have a terribly, unhappy. lonely and abusive childhood?

  • Copycat !!

  • StewartS BEST works

  • te movie is copycat isn't it?

  • Sad.

  • ya like A B C oowee

  • 1:08 1:10ish stewart copeland is ridiculous on the drums. how do you even think of that rhythm much less play it

  • @Kobeownzu81 totally agree man, Copeland is a monster Ska player...

  • this song reminds me of myself... if i were a serial killer that is.

  • Comment removed

  • It's not about serial killers. I know it's hard to tell what Sting is always on about when he sings but if you really listen to the lyrics it's about the thrill of murder. Example: You are flushed with your very first success, Murder is like anything you take too, all our greatest killers were adventurous, al least the one's we know by name.

  • stewart copeland murders thiis track in cold blood...

his chops are amazing, certainly one of the best drummers if not the best i've ever heard. precision and use of the hit hat n bass drum is impeccable on nearly every song they did

  • This song is not about serial killers.

  • @rexspe thank you, finally someone gets it!

  • I always thought this was about serial killers, but am starting to think its more about the choices of governments to go into country and kill innocent people, like in the cases of genocide etc. Thumbs up if you agree

  • where's Jigsaw from "SAW" series?

  • @SuperRod88 he never actually got his hands dirty

  • This song is many things to many people but for me it's one of the most ironic artistic expressions I've ever heard. Irony is the monosodium glutamate of art. It makes things taste better.

  • Because of this song, the original release of the album "Synchronicity" was recalled and the re-release didn't have this song on it.

  • @tomwild57 must be worth alot of money if someone has a copy of it then

  • first time i heard this song at a movie called the copycat this was the first time i know even that there was a band called the police i searched their videos at you tube and man sting is a genius the lyrics just amazing and different i wish this is today's music i've got sick of i luv u i need u i want to hold u then on the other hand the rap too turned to shit like i want to bang u i want to Fuck u OMg the situation is fucked sir some one help us plz call the police

  • The movie is Copycat not Copykill

  • Movie: Copycat

  • to the person who put this video together.... stop obsessing and sort your life out, sick fuck

  • If you want another about creeped out song about numbers with a different meaning, check out Soft Cell "numbers"

  • The "creepiest" music was their best - the more down to earth and mainstream the music became, the less interesting it got which eventually led the then end of the police.

  • @Alby Sylvester Stalone?

  • i think of this song like "maxwells silver hammer" beatles... just genius.. no one would do it.. but weve all thought of it... love it

  • @jenirocksotb

VERY true! I have been tempted several time to learn "Maxwell's silver hammer" but its about murder and I just cant take joy in playing it. The Beatles could be creepy when they wanted to be. Whats ironic is that the songs actually sounds upbeat.

  • @Mark9309 Don't think i've heard it lol, it miht be upbeat cos its portrayin the murders POV, and that he/she take reat pleasure in killin' I'll check it out and comment aain tomoz :P

  • who is at 3:46 ?

  • @Alby1013 Al Pacino!

  • good song...not bad video...but why put in real murderers...thats just off!

  • This is a very creepy song but the music is great.

  • At the time, this song was not on the recorded LP but only on the cassette tape. They couldn't fit all the songs. Frankly, they should've dropped the song "Mother" altogether...

  • what is the last song on this album

  • Love this song :D

  • THE WORDS

  • pure Illuminati music

  • cool clip man

  • its about killers full stop, weather it is politicians or serial killers so its not that superficial, just because bush isnt on the vid.

  • Dude .. it's 'Copycat' not 'Copykill' ...

  • @Lorripops123

There is also a "CopyKill",,Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter

  • @beaufish Yeah, the film with Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter (and Dermot Mulroney) is called Copycat...

I have it on DVD -- Looking at the title right now ... 'Copycat' ...

  • murder is the sport of the elected, and you don't need to lift a finger of your hand...because it's...

  • "This song is about the cynical manipulation of large numbers of people."--Sting, Oakland, 9/10/83

  • @paganwheels ... The New World Order... thier official theme song.

  • @paganwheels nice! Wish I lived in the 80s!!

  • @paganwheels Sting you are an intelligent rocker...unlike Ted Nugent, etc....

  • The movie was "Copycat", not "Copykill".

  • This track was deleted from the Synchronicity album, after people freaked out..

  • I heard this song when I was younger and I thought the singer was a black woman. Oh what fail. XD

  • synchronicity - what a fantastic record - every song a smasher, where are the times when such records were tossed off by normal people making outworldly music?

  • I've just read that this song was motivated by real serial killers.

  • This song, woooooooooow, cant' help but loving it, the melody takes beyond the lyrics, it's sooooooo touching

  • 1.06 is dracula i don't think you can class him as a serial killer in the same terms as bundy or the boston strangler. Same with freddy cruger and Jason!

  • pics could've been done in a different order. but good slide no the less.

  • Comment removed

  • why only the overt killers? what about all the covert killers like the plutocrats and technocrats?

  • Wow, I know its from he movie "CopyKill" but the dvd I have is "CopyCat" Exact same movie, just interesting to know there are two different titles..

  • Your grammar promotes the same case.

  • You know what i'm actually not that worried about it because i actually have an understanding of what eugenics is and you have no come back so talking about me miss spelling a word clearly makes me shake in my boots. Watch out world this person thinks spelling is as fucked up as eugenics

  • how did he write this song? How could you possibly come up with this sort of perspective and thought about murder unless you are fuckin insane or have murdered before or both. Its a little creepy but extremely intrigueing

  • Good point intoxicated crow, but you don't necessarily have to be completely crazy to make up crazy things with words. Still, I tend to agree with you on this one haha.

  • A lot of Sting's music is creepy.

"Don't Stand" is about a teacher who is sexually attracted to a pupil. Sting was a teacher. But apparently it was based on "Lolita", one of Sting's favourite books.

"Every Breath You Take" = stalker

"Roxanne" is about a prostitute, written from the perspective of an obsessive.. customer, who "loves" her and wants to control her and own her.

In some ways it is quite impressive, artistically.

The creepiest for me though is how he goes "ea-io" for half a song.

  • @scarble Interesting facts, thanks.

  • @scarble some artists creative juices flow better from a dark place inside.....This is y hes a great humanitarian and filanthropist... He sees how f****d up man is!!

  • @scarble i agree, it makes me laugh when 'every breath you take' is played at a wedding.

  • @1991cswrighty Kind of creepy, eh?

  • @scarble What about "Wrapped around your finger"?

  • @Scourgeandmephiles93 Legend about Faust?

  • @scarble-don't forget Synchronicity II.

  • @scarble Don't worry about it apparently no-one listens to the lyrics..... after all it's already been a year since you commented.

It's all about management killing it's staff off without having to get their hands dirty like great big rich record company bosses messing up their acts for figures if you like. Just numbers.

But I guess Ed Gien BTK Manson Bundy Gacy Christie Neilson etc fits the song too.

but as said originally no-one listens to the lyrics anyhow. Not properly anyway.

  • @scarble Hm... you're right... I wouldn't call Roxanne a creepy song though

  • @TheBeautifulStream I feel it's possessive and controlling. This post still gets replies a year on :D I guess it means people are thinking. It's deliberate you see, Sting makes it creepy, it's poetic.

I won't share you with another boy

I know my mind is made up

So put away your make up

Told you once I won't tell you again it's a bad way

  • @scarble hey wait, I said that in my original post -_-

If you think trying to control someone isn't creepy....

  • @scarble No, I just don't happen to see the "controlling" part at all! But we have different perceptions. Sure, being controlling is very creepy, but I can't feel it in the song. So I guess we'll just agree to that!

(Teehee, it's also the highest voted comment on this video... no wonder people still respond. :D )

  • You should add Dick Cheney's picture to this video

  • why the random christian bale pic?

  • @xxonebludxx he was american psycho

  • You being alive makes a case for bring eugenics back.

  • I think this song didn't get play time until some years after the album.

It was originally only on the Compact Disc version I know that much.

    It wasn't on the vinyl.

  • @gocartown I listened to it on the cassette version. About 20 years ago. Jeez. Aren't we the senior citizens. I was in my 77 T-bird rockin to this.

  • @AddictedToJohnnyDepp You would be better off falling in love with a human being and not a song. Please address this problem and report back to me when you have achieved this.

  • The movie was "Copycat", not "Copykill".

  • on English " Copycat"

    ... in German "Copykill"

  • evily delicious

  • The singer has an strong, ferm, sorta raspy and yet astonishing. added to the easy beat this song is terrefic !!!!!!!!!!!!!
