Search for an addon called gatherer. It saves info of where you have mined stuff. It gives you an idea of where to look if you need to mine something often.

Hey the easiest way to get Gold with Mining is farming Mithril ore. It gives more than 180g per stack on our server!...Well this demands on the server^^
