  • I miss shows where you could jump up on stage and sing half the song with the singer! Now days if you jumped up and tried to grab the mic, you would get pummeled by security, and kicked out. I got to sing for 3 seconds at a Descendants/All concert in Houston, Tx. it was fucking awesome. I didn't get up on stage but he lowered the mic for me to sing the "More more more, mo mo more" cover of Billy Idols "In the midnight hour" I will remember that forever. Good bands, good times!

  • @thepupils209 You gotta go to the right venues, man. Here in London, in the small clubs, you don't get kicked out for climbing onstage! Except that once when I saw Kvelertak they hired a douchebag security guy who pushed me and no one caught me, LOL. Just get up on that stage, man!

  • Hitchens is dead!

  • They don't make em like this anymore

  • You cannot make your own scene now because people's priorities have shifted somewhere else and now "artists" are trying to recreate past heroes.....Minor Threat was Minor Threat not Sex Pistols imitators, same thing with Black Flag, Nirvana, hell...even Bon Jovi.....they were their own version.

  • the man the legend

  • Phill Anselmo punk!

  • Religion is a cancer of humanity. FUCK RELIGION

  • A black girl who likes knows the words to a Minor Threat song....now that's something you don't see very often....

  • @giglio33012 she's the bassist of Red C, contemporaries of Minor Threat.

  • @80smoviesguy ...wow...seriously???.....I should've known better....lol....thanks for the info.

  • fucking amazing! much love and respect.

  • holy shit its the kid from holes!!!!!!!!!!

  • Best punk band!

  • Damn she's lucky :L

  • It's in your head.

  • Look up Cerebral Ballzy

new punk band becoming more and more known and MIGHT BRING PUNK BACK!!!

  • @leon625 haha i seen them on adult swim haha and yes fucking true they are bringing back punk and whats more important its hardcore punk! x) haha

  • Oh yeah ive seen then on adult swim like 30 times. They are soooooooo hardcore

  • @leon625 If a Youtube comment consists only of "Hey, check out this great new band", chances are that said band is gonna suck.

No matter how good the music is, nobody in the History of Ever liked bands that they know because of Youtube comment advertisement. That goes double for punk bands. So, if you care for them, please don't advertise them on Youtube anymore.

  • @FupidStaggot42 Dude They are getting famous, they aren't That underground

  • This clip is too good.

  • Por que? es que sale mi papa!

el era muy rudo!! por eso yo nací con huevos de metal!

  • i wish this guys would re unite. I wonder what it would be like.

  • @MrBillLumberg too awesome to comprehend

  • The handshake @ 0:22 is awesome

  • everyone says that they were born in the wrong era, but punk is still around. places like the gilman have shows all the time. the people who say they were born in the wrong time probably wouldnt have heard of minor threat or black flag etc. if they did live in that time. they would be talking about how they were born in the wrong time. start your own band, play shows. there is still a punk scene.

  • @moberst12 yeah dude i totally agree with you

  • @moberst12 we're lazy and spoiled leave us alone...

  • @moberst12 NOFX!!

  • That black girl is sooo lucky

  • All these people complaining that music isn't the same these days -- get off your fucking computers and start a goddamn band. Even if you've gotta go solo, do SOMETHING about the music scene instead of bitching about it. That's what these guys did.

  • @TwigDjango HELL YEAH BRO!

  • @TwigDjango Fuck yea man!! im with ya.

  • NICE TO SEE SO MANY DIFFERENT KIDS HAVING A GOOD TIME TOGETHER...

  • Omg. Look at the awesome chick singing.

  • lmfao

  • @laluzdelamanana Something funny to you?

  • que entretenido !

  • puta! que entretenido!

  • You probably shouldn't listen to MT if you are indeed a racist scumbag. Ian Mackaye is one of the most politically correct persons I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

  • @YTfromDetroity you shouldnt be listening to minor threat then you racist moron, go listen to screwdriver

  • @WillyWobSk8in

Ahh man. Don't even mention those Nazi pricks.

  • Minor Threat is one of the best bands ever.

  • A young Brian Baker on the bass... crazy.

  • the Lyrics to this song are amazing. Go out and get a copy of Minor threat, "complete discography" on discord 40 records. printed in 1989 the year I graduated HS, yes I am 40 and still listen to Minor Threat!

they started way back in 1980! And you have to listen to "out of step", I have the lyrics to all of their songs. just ask.

  • @hotmercedes fuck yea man that's wassup i'm 19 been listening to

minor threat since i was 14 my mom been telling me

it's a phase i'll grow outta this "annoying childish" music

but fuuck that man imma keep listening to this badass band called

    Minor Threat for life!

  • @hotmercedes you and me both, my friend. I'm 37 and will never stop listening to old school punk/hardcore. Nothing else comes close.

  • I fucking love Minor Threat! And that's coming from me, a fucking metalhead

  • @evolooshion Im a slayer fan and love minor threat. Slayer even does a cover of minor treat's "guilty of being white"!!!!! Sadly Ian tired of the punk scene and went on to start the whole "emo" scene.

  • @hotmercedes

tired of the punk scene ian went on to start the whole emo scene? where did this info come from? its news to me!

besides there were great emo bands way back like screaching weasel and others before that but its nothing like the crap beeing churned out today thats labled ,,emo,,

  • @hotmercedes He continued with Indie. There's nothing not punk about early 90's indie (Mind the double negative). It had DIY roots and was greatly influenced by the 80's hardcore scene, so I wouldn't criticize it. At least it held together better than punk did.

  • @hotmercedes I don't think so. He just developed punk music.

  • Better filming and better sound quality than most Fugazi vids here on Youtube, I wish there was fugazi vids nice like that

  • i just noticed how in the beginning when ian says "toni! toni!'. now i know who he was talking about! R.I.P Toni Young!

  • nothing to say, fabulous!

  • Man, i wanna play a show on the floor some day. at least that's what it looks like here.

  • @AnnihalationonaStick DUDE! do it. Cuz they are fun. i've done it a few times.

  • guud stuuuf.

  • If anyone ever asks what punk rock really is.... 0:59 - 1:02

  • This video is amazing. I wish punk was still this raw.

  • It seems like the mistake punk bands are making now is staying around too long, green day used to be awesome but they aren't anymore........I dunno, just a theory, not that minor threat would have gotten shitty anyways

  • I would love this video if I didn't know that the cute girl's name is Toni and that she'd be dead three years later. Poor thing - Rest in Peace, Ms. Young.

  • YES!

  • @owlertheprowler They never technically claimed Edge. They gave a name to a set of ideals the Teen Idles sang about before.

  • Fuck shitty green day or rise against. This is punk!!!!!!!!

  • @klaudynkaaniolek Rise Against may not be punk on their new album but their older albums were much different.

  • @klaudynkaaniolek Rise Against is amazing don't talk shit about them but fuck green day!!!!

  • @Metallicakickass936 rise against is commercial "rebel" rock

  • @klaudynkaaniolek

if people stopped calling green day punk, would people stop having a problem with them? lol.

but i agree that rise against kinda... well, sucks.

green day is fun tho. there new music=meh. but dude, longview? thats a great song. sry bro.

favorite like "you call it religion, your FULL OF SHIT"

  • I love the chick singing.

  • @rexmaster5

please do not mention rancid on a minor threat video. thanks

  • I smoked crack at a minor threat show.

  • @suicidewillie cool they're straight edge

  • filler minor threat great!!!!

    santiago de chile HARDCORE!!!1

    PUENTE ALTO!!

  • I like Rancid's new album, but it's nothing like this so I don't know where the comparison comes in - completely different. Amazing energy in this vid

  • fuck posers. Punk is about having a free mind to do the stuff you want to do

  • @silenthilldomain yeah! its not who can puke the most when youre drunk in a railwaystation.

its hard being a clean punk nowadays.

  • i agree with you. I like a good beer now and then but its rare that i drink alchohole

  • i always masterbate to this song:) ..... good times

  • @tob1203 Lol I didn't need to know that but that made me laugh my ass off when I read that!

  • fuck all you haters

  • It is fucking sad to see you kids having the same arguements we were all having 25-30 years ago. Shit doesn't change it just keeps getting worse.

  • Rancid-shit

    not punk

sorry for my fkn bad english

  • best gig in your face.

  • The vid starts with him calling Toni on stage and pulling her up to sing with him. Nice scene back then in DC.

  • Yeah, not at this specific show but many like it. I've seen the Ramones a bunch of times, Minor threat, Figazi, Circle Jerks, 24/7 Spyz, Bad Brains. Used to be Weekend all ages shows every weekend with loads of great bands. Not anymore, that hasn't happened in Boston in 10-15 years. Not like it was anyway.

  • i havent listen this song at this originall version.....but if you really like it then listen "undisputed attitud" from "slayer"...great cover, thanx minor you´re tha shit....!!!!!

  • Oh my god this is fucking amazing. The moshing, the music, singing with the fans... so fucking good...

  • this is what i'll forever love about the punk rock community.... some one just comes up on stage and you let them sing your song! punk rock is like one huge giant pissed off family!

  • Exactly! I love how punk rock bands just let the crowd sing a lot of the time, it really pumps everyone up. Plus singing WITH a band you admire live at a concert... fucking unbelievable!

  • i love this band song so much, i wonder who they were pointing at when they sang the chorus....lol

  • fucking intense

  • f*ckin awesome!

  • Old school rules. Those were the days my friends. All ages shows every weekend, great bands, great scene.

    Those days are loong gone.

  • Not to sound like a creationist, but were you there?

  • Man i was i born at the wrong time!

  • @mudvayne36420 or you are too young to realize that if you look hard enough you can still find good bands today

  • @mudvayne36420 Godd timer are a coming !

  • @mudvayne36420 no its not you are needed now more than ever! GET STARTED

  • @mudvayne36420

No you were born at the right time. These days are gone for sure. But you gotta make your own days. Start your own band. Start your own zine. Do something. As kids we cant look to the past and say "well looks like were fucked." Thats not what Ian Mackaye did. Its not what Henry Rollins did. They made there own times. We need to make something NOW that kids thirty years from now look back and say "Wow, those were great days"

  • @Flyingcookiepros yea thats it ! but the only problem is kids today my age ,are very judgy ,stereotipical , idiotic ''nicely said'' :D

  • Comment removed

  • @Flyingcookiepros Fuck yea!

  • @Flyingcookiepros Fuck yea dude! I'm 14 and me and my friend Yusi have been starting a been since fuckin' forever and we finally found a drummer and we're gonna have our first ever practice sesh today. We're called Frame 313. Maby we'll be the next best wave in the fuckin 10's.

  • @mudvayne36420 We just gotta make it the right time.

  • It's in your head, FILLER!

  • ahh the good old days when Ian mackaye

wasnt a douche bag and just a punk kid like the rest of us

  • why do you think ian is a douche bag?

  • Hes just self important just like Biafra , Roillins and all the has beens of the punk scene

They are all egomaniacs in love with themselves

  • haha well i agree with you on biafra and rollins... but ian was in fugazi (best band ever). I got to talk to him when he did a guest lecture in irvine, still really cool and really nice. plus his baby is really cute.

  • are you kidding me? Ian MacKaye is a great fucking guy! He still supports the local music scene, I would know because he talks to me about my band, one thats not very well known. Yeah, Rollins is a douche, Biafra may be a little self important, but Ian is a great guy.

  • Theyre all honest and intelligent people. I don't care if they are egomaniac or not. The reason you think they are egotistic is that they are charismatic and influence lot of people.

  • only punk would rock this hard. fuck if you dont like it. FUCK YOU

  • I like how "Toni" makes her way to the stage via crowd-surfing....that was fuckin awesome.

  • punk shows are the only shows where you can get on stage and sing with the band. its fucking amazing.

  • the black woman in the vid was Toni Young who played bass in Red C, another great DC punk band. she died in 85 of pneumonia. RIP Toni!!!

  • I thought she was HR's sister?

  • @peppermintwardrobe aw man that sucks dick

  • @peppermintwardrobe the band is just called red c?

  • @peppermintwardrobe how do you know?

  • look at the that doin the salsa ( :58 )

  • well also back then even if they were crazy most fans respected u enough not to like go crazy on you or u could handle it now u got pussies who cant even deal with their fans..

i love rappers who got like 9 bodyguards wow ur a badass

  • HAHA i laughed, great point

  • Why can't I find a girl like that?

  • haha, exactly

  • LOL @ the girl taking over. great times.

  • it's funny how music change since '80s

now it's full of bodyguards .

and back in the '80s people was on stage , and singer was ok with that

  • but you can still see this at most of the straight edge's show.

  • not the 80's bro. punk in general

  • so much love

  • i so love this song!!!

    "what happened to youuu!!!!?!!"

  • "youre not the same!"

  • got something in ur head

  • I love Minor Threat!!

  • Stop listening to so much Slayer then.

  • this is the original, cunthead.

  • So stop listening to so much Slayer then...

  • Dude Slayer kicks ass, dont diss Slayer

and dont worry i know Minor Threat inspired them, and so far these guys and Suicidal Tendencies' first album are my favorites for this genre. I am new to this and i love it.

  • hardcore, and punk have their place in metal, buddy(did not want to say dumbass).

  • I am no fan of metal at all but believe me, it is you who is quite lame. What makes you even think anyone gives two shits what you think about any genre? Get real, buddy.

  • Get internet. Buddy.

And by "get" i mean "comprehend".

    Buddy.

  • Ok Buddy, I'll get right on that Buddy, have a great day Buddy!

  • *sigh*

  • dude screrw u ian mkay is awesome man

  • It depends on what drugs. Marijuana is the bomb. I've heard of other soft drugs being detrimental to a new perception of reality, but I haven't tried yet. Never ever ever do cocaine, heroin, or meth.

  • that girl's toni young from Red C if i'm not mistaken...

  • This is Great stuff!! MT 4 Ever

  • hell yeah man

  • makes me proud to be from dc

  • that show looks like so much fun

  • DRINK AND DO DRUGS. It's good for you.

  • yeah killing yourself is a really good idea.

  • if you're stupid enough to do either of the two in an excess that would end in death, then chances are you were to stupid to be worthwhile any way.

  • it not good for u

    but its your choice

besides doing a little drugs when your younger is ok

  • Doing so in moderation isn't bad for you, but there are very few things in this world that are actually GOOD for you.

  • why do you say that.

  • yeah i kinda see it now, still one hell of a show

  • that girl wanted to sing all the song haha

  • Great video, love the girl grabbing the mic and singing! Ha, amazing energy...

  • haha :57 nice moves

  • R.I.P. Toni Young

  • Minor threat has so much energy on their songs its fucking good!
