  • thegoodjohn, like Carmen McCrae, Billie Holiday, and countless other jazz singers and pop song-stylists, Peyroux lays back in her phrasing. I'm not a big fan of Peyroux, but her phrasing is pretty good. If you're used to only contemporary pop or classical, than laying back behind the beat may sound very different. But if you watch shows like American Idol, you notice that singers today have no idea how to phrase behind the beat, so their singing of old standard tunes sounds awful.

  • Stunning voice - thank heavens for talent like this in talentless world. Superb!

  • Well, it was written by Bob Dylan who is notorious for his "offbeat" style. She has done an incredible job with this song. And, she actually does go in time if you really listen...

  • I know I'm picky, but why can't she sing in time. At all?

  • fab. amazing vocals
