  • oh no, the recording is so bad.

  • i think this piece really fits him. I really like his playing here, but sometimes he destroys pieces.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA this is hilarious.

Should be part of a circus.

  • This is Lang Lang at his best.

  • I'm not always a fan of Lang Lang's performances, I find many of them overexpressive, or missing something important from the piece.

But whenever I listen to him, I always minimize the window and just listen to his playing, and I have to say, I like this Prokofiev. Lang Lang's lively style seems to really complement the piece, imo.

  • @SilentViolins ... that could not be a better statement ... especially the part about minimizing the window and just listening.

  • LL is a jerk. His place is in the gay porn business.

  • too fast. I don't understand anything.

  • Not actually fast, but rushed... Argerich is toujours faster but never rushed

  • okay.

    racists can phuck themeselves off.

    Start appreciating!

u racists juz know how to cirticize and dont know how to appreciate. how pathetic.

show ur prokofiev concert to us if u say this is a bad video.

  • So I must be a chicken in order to crictize my omelette?

  • @meneltar LOL :D

  • Touched guy - a gift to all of us. Tnx!

  • he's no argerich.

  • @kyleclef ..you are right on the mark there...argerich shows us all the way to a more pure performance

  • try not to look at him,

hes reli good when u dun look at him.

he played so fast and every note was crystal clear along with very smooth phrasings.

not many virtuosos can do that.

    lang lang is so apt at playing prokofiev;

he has great technique and energy

  • i wonder if any pros like Lang Lang have time to instruct beginners at piano besides maybe they're own children.

  • @superjam18 ...let us hope that this particular...persionality....has no time to pervert any other serious but impressionable pianists

  • Lang lang is an amazing pianist... there is no doubt about that,

but i think i'd have to say that he lacks a "je ne se qua" of virtuoso pianists such as Evgeny Kissin, or Horowitz.

    :)

  • pardon me i should have spelt that "je ne sais quoi" :)

  • Upload some of your master piece on youtube, and let's everyone judge you...

    otherwise..... just shut the Up!!!!

  • Incomplete

  • What movement is this?

  • 3rd

  • ARGHHHH.........

    lokopiano

  • This is a very good performance of this. I love this piece from Prokofiev. I believe there is also a recording of Prokofiev playing this.

  • Oh no the orchestra catch up with him!!!!

  • it is pity that there are no other mvts

  • vapid bandwagoners. but everyone is entitled to his opinions, no matter how insipid

  • the sound quality is terrible for this post...

  • 1. It is sad how great pianists such as Martha Argerich, Kissin, and Sokolov don't nearly as much publicity as this circus animal.

    2. A big part of Lang Lang's fame is because his eccentric playing. It is like you see handsome white men with ugly Asian women all the time. Their taste is not yet refine to differentiate exotic ones versus bad ones.

    3. Bang Bang and his disgusting facial expression just sickens me.

    Thus: Clown.

  • 1. Argerich doesn't like the spotlight, Kissin's parents didn't want him to over extend himself with concerts but he's still played many concerts and I have no idea who Sokolov is.

    2. Mitsuko Uchida, the High Priestess of Mozart, whose interpretations of Mozart are considered the highest. Have you seen her facial expressions?

    3. Because he contorts his face?

  • Agreed. Besides, further supporting this, I've seen Kissin on Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto - his expressions and gestures are indeed worthy of Lang Lang. As someone else expressed in a different video, I don't care if he shouts passages from "Lord of the Rings" while he plays; as long as he plays right, and he plays well, forget about his facial and physical expressions and just enjoy the nice music.

And I must say, lscully2, your arguments are very well-written. =)

  • you post on every lala video. don't tell us u want to change people... it's a nervous tic; u use the same vocabulary all the time. Pfff and i thought you could improve . bah

  • and you are on uTube 28 hours a day.

  • @mrsunday810 there are only 24 hours in a day

  • @lokopiano there's only 24 hours in a day, Asians know that

  • Mitsuko Uchida was awarded Doctor of Music degree by the University of Oxford in June 2009. Her complete recording of Mozarts piano sonatas won the Gramophone Award. NO degree or award for you fucking moron piece of shit.

  • LOL. priceless.

  • Ushida is good. Pires and De Larrocha are better.

  • To say "Ushida, the High Priestess of Mozart" is really compatible with "I have no idea who Sokolov is".

  • clown

  • omg! nice! any possibly the rest is available?

  • Lang Lang has such a big repertoire, Bravo!!
