@XxXCOLIOXxX Of course they are connected. The Torchwood Institute was founded after a run in between The Doctor and Queen Victoria in the Episode "Tooth and Claw". Moreover, "Torchwood" is an anagram of "Doctor Who". And yes, Jack first appeared in the Doctor Who episode "The Empty Child"

Actually yes, there is. The 456 use children as a drug, they release chemicals into the 456s' blood stream so they keep a calm mood.

If you really want me to spoil it:

Jack and Mr Dekker are brought to a military base to find a way to defeat the 456, there Jack meets Alice and Steven who have been bunkered down for some time by a redeemed Johnson.

Johnson believes the way to defeat the 456 is the wave-lengths they use but Dekker comments that they need a child, Jack is against using Steven but for the sake of the world has to sacrifice him as the children of the world send a signal that kills the 456 Ambassador.

I would prefer it if we never got to saw the 456. This worked perfectly in 'Midnight' (DW) because the actual fear comes from not knowing what you're up against.

Syltheen aren't horryfying at all since Torchwood is a 15 they obvously aiming for the darker aliens than the one's in Doctor Who.

cant wait to see tomorrow...I agree seeing Jack growing back wow ...and them show his penis ...wow...lol im not pervivng ...just didnt expect them to do that...but these episode so far ARE AWESOME! seriously...this is genius...and what I love about it is that if you're not a regular viewer of torchwood the characters are easy to understand therefore not making you feel like you don't know anything...cnt wait! ..and that old guy breathing at the end of the Day 2episode ...I think hes a alien ! :O
