  • Yeah, this was HOT!!!!! It was great the way they introduced Randy. Him doing his thing, dancing before playing those bongos. Great showmanship fron ALL 6 of the Jacksons!!!!!

  • Haha Randy's doing the yolk, the football and the penguin. Go on Randy.

  • You gotta be kidding me.

  • I <3 Michael Jackson! I love all the Jacksons :)

  • 7:03 He loves the guitar lol.

  • Thank you for the "Got to be there" LIVE. I searched and searched....You did great!!!

  • 4.17-4.20, so beautiful!

  • What a truly amazing performance. I remember watching it live as if it were yesterday. Even back then everyone knew Michael would break away some day and become something extraordinary. INDEED HE DID! But his singing even at that age was unbelievable. The way he could hit those notes on the song "got to be there". Who, name one person that could sing that way. There was no one back then, and there is still no one today that had that much talent. What a man, a mighty good man he was. LUV U MIKE

  • aww when little randy came out i nearly fell out my seat i love the jacksons

  • I can't get enough of this! :] So I'll just keep watching and not stop hehe

  • Mannn,Jermaine on that bass so funky!!!!!!

  • My join always love

  • Perfect pitch & adlib, (Show her she's my Gurlll) (She loves Meee) (Sharing the world beside me.ee.eee) (When she's w/ me, she's Homeee) Damn! Singing & harmonizing like this is only a Sweet Cherish Memory from the PAST now, life is just not fair. M.J. puts so much Passion & Compassion in his song that comes deep down from his Heart & Soul. I wish I could freeze the GLORY days, do not pass 1984. (Sorry 4 being so SELFISH) such a more Better & Happier Times. BLESS U Precious Angel.

  • my effing god.

i have realised a number of comments about quality on Jackson 5 videos. The videos were shot in the late 60's to the 70's. the quality here is the best alot of people had. get over it.

  • i gotta dream to see this with really good quality... if some one somewhere that i can find it in a better quality pls let me know. and thanks for uploading this too

  • Now THIS is real young talent! and yet we have people today making such a big deal on how talented justin bieber is when he doesn't even have a good voice

  • And, BTW, I'm white, and I hated the Osmonds! But LOVE the Jacksons!

  • @dbastard The Jacksons had a TV show as well. I'm Michael's age and watched it all the time. It was great! BTW, it blows my mind how talented they all were, just as it blew my mind then. I wanted to be Mrs. Jackson sooooo bad! Still wanted to be until the day we lost Michael. Always in my heart...

  • How in the hell did American television have a show with the Osmonds, they were not even half as talented as the J5, but I guess it was a different time. White people were the mainstream back then.....sad!!!

  • yeahhh randy dance cool

  • Damn : )

  • 2 people are blind and dumb

  • sorry randy but MIKE THE SHIT 4-EVERYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • is it just me or is the brothers' harmony off at 3:49? Ir sounds like one of them is a little sharp, maybe Jermaine. Well, I'd rather have it than have them lip synching it. Great performance! It's okay to be human!

  • the best group ever ,Jo made them to be.Michael is extra exceptional and the Jacksons are really the best!!!!

  • Wow This Song Rocks

  • what year wuz this

  • Michael was great on the song Brand New Thang. Jackie messed up a little but Michael just danced until he closed the gap between Marlon and Jackie.

  • @MJJBFF4life no micheal messed up(you will notice he couldn`t keep his foot up jackie when to say something to him it was like that sometimes(micheal would miss a step or turn to fast his mother said this before)than jackie and marlon would play cacthup(but they were all so smooth that you really had to look to see a mistake(and that hardly happened with the jackson5. best band vocal ever. peace am out

  • when did this video recorded?

    can anyone tell me?

  • Fantastic!!! Wow, the energy!!! You don't see anything like this on TV anymore. Missing Michael more each day :(

  • their the only group that cud dance good n sing good at the same time

  • MJ, what a PRO!

  • Michael was a genius from small his talent is incredible, sings and dances like ningun other one to so early age

michael es un genio desde pequeño su talento es increible , canta y baila como ningun otro a tan temprana edad.!

  • This performance really shows Michaels talent. This is a very difficult song to pull off live. His singing and dancing are amazing especially for his age.

  • pravo!!!!!!! every time i listen to the end it gives me goosebumps..... its just sooo amazing!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • The Jacksons are without a doubt the first family of music R.I.P. MJ.

  • Johnny Jackson was ripping the dreams and baby randy speechless

  • I love Mike's run at 4:22...nice

  • nicee jobb randy

  • jermaines afro is banggin and look fresh!!!!(:

  • Got to be there sounds sooo good livee!!

    Amazimgg perfomance!

  • The best performers of all time!! Man they know how to move! Never know what you're really misising until it's shonuff GONE!

  • great song!

  • I just got to the point where I can watch these videos again without crying.

  • omg! I feel u! lol

  • Michael's voice is just too good for words. i have never heard another voice that beautiful and i never will and nobody ever will

  • AMAZING!!!!!

  • My goodness! From 5:09 to the end it was pure madness! They danced like they had fire to their feet or something XD! Wow..just amazing. It's just crazy how sharp and on point they were with all the dance moves--turns, working the mike stand and NOT tripping in the mike cords (which I never understood) so much ENERGY!! Haha..little Randy...just look at Michael, Jackie, and Marlon in the back when Randy had his solo, LOOK at ow hard their dancing! Man!

"Na Na Na..we gotta brand new thing!"

  • god i never knew little randy cud dance like that

  • "Out-Standing!!!

  • Wild, i love it when they sing sugar daddy, was one of my favorites when i was longer, I used to sing it all the time. I also love their stepping at the end, what great performers.

  • I love to watch the Jackson 5

  • He sang Got to be there..i love his soul.

  • Randys lil dance intro was so cute!

  • WOW!!! The way he sung Got to be there. Amazing, what a voice for a little kid. R.I.P. Mike

  • WOW!!! M.J. could sing!!! what a voice.

  • the way he said meeeee waz da best

  • i wanna give all of the them a huge hug! esp randy, marlon and mike! they look so cute. tito playing the guitar is awesome--- he was talented. the whole fam is! <3 J5 forevvverrrr

  • mike, well i think all 5 were extremely talented, look at the stepping and the harmomy geez

  • look at mike! that's all i have to say???????

  • I love the way he sings "Got To Be There." He has such a genuinely good voice. You don't hear many voices like that nowadays.

  • you dont hear any. this isnt even the type of music i listen to and i actually really enjoy jackson 5 music.

  • yea i agree

  • Is it live?

  • it's live yes

  • believe it or not but some of those dance moves later were taken by street kids and became a huge influence on BREAKDANCING

  • i will still be screaming michael jackson's name even thu he's gone

  • jermaine is cool

  • This family - truly gifted - little Randy came out there and "toe it up" on the dance floor and the congos - but MJJ was just special - I've watched hundreds of their videos and I'm amazed each time but can see why I've always loved this group, as well as MJJ, solo. One can see why this family has "staying power" - over 40 years now.

  • rip mj. awsome you

  • It's amazing how even at the youngest age, Michael sang right on pitch every time and just riffed with the best of them... his dance moves are so much sharper and just is the star of the show every time... he had such stage presence!

  • mike, my brother rest in peace. as i watched your last perfomance on stage today, i shed tears of what you did for the world and what the people did not know about you. as many have said, your work here is done. for there are many mansions that you must now perform for those that have gone before you. may we (people) start seeing that there is no color in love or in live. RIP MJJ. Love Lawrence

  • Every time I hear his Name I smile to try and keep from crying

  • damn he had a set of pipes

  • lil mike had no teeth in the front and still singing the joint!

  • lol don't we all!!! respect to the JACKSONS from my heat

  • hea r t

  • I WANNA A SON LIKE HIM!!!!

  • R.I.P little Jackson

    from belgium!

  • i envy people who were tweens around this time, and got to see this on live television. this entire performance is just amazing.

  • I can beat that - I saw them live in 1971 and 1972 at the Civic Center in Baltimore MD. They were great!! I was in love :)

  • Michael was such a talented kid...

  • jermaine is the man

  • yeah and michael too!

  • Can't believe MJ had such control in Got to be there at that age. Amazing!

  • i miss the days when artists weren't afraid to sing pop and people weren't afraid to admit they liked it.

  • Great people ! ! !

He will stay in our hearts forever . . .

  • i just love them all you lnow i might one of them befor and yes i am old i didnt die yet

  • Flawlesss Performance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wat year ?

  • about 72? I'm guessing though

  • "brand new thing" not "Day"

  • The best perfromance!!!

  • hi i just love the jacksons best performers i would think fr johnnyb.

  • The afros are perfect. Do you have any idea how much picking was involved? soooooooooooooooooo much that how much. They go so damn hard.

  • im glad u put the whole thng on here...

  • now this is real talent

  • Its sad because you wrote this when michael jackson was not dead.

It shows your true dedication to Mike...

  • randy was gettin it

  • I hate to say but Papa Joe's beatings really worked because they can sing and dance the hell out songs.. If they never got those ass whuppings they probably would not be as good..

  • You Hit it right on! No pun intended. Joe created pro work. He's actually a success, though he created the end result of what Michael Jacko is today.

  • True my friend, true..Mike is screwed up not just brcause of Joe's beatings, but his old religion, him feeling ugly, maybe even his sexuality..But he is still an inspiration.

  • 4:19 to 4:25 boy that boy isnt evn 13 yet!!! dayumm

  • i bet michael got nightmares of jospeh beating him

  • i believe that and michael just snapped, u know what i'm saying?

  • yeh i do its sad that just because you get one move wrong and then you get hit for it that is mean and when he is on stage he got a move wrong but the people watching does not notice but you do and so does joseph then you know when you come of the stage you are going to get hit

  • He ddi not snap, if you see his personality, he is awseome.

  • Notice at 7:30 the hand slap incorperated into the dance moves with such smoothness. Simply amazing!!!

  • Why did the J5 snap so hard on this performance, its ridiculous to find this type of talent even nowadays and its been imitated, but never duplicated!

  • Most talented family ever!!!!!!!!!

  • Totally agree!!!

  • Ya, but Michael won't recognize it and reunite with his brothers. It's sad!!

  • Please Michael!!!! join your brothers one last time! We all deserve to see the majic, the legend, the family, the real in what is the Jacksons. I will travel accross the world to see it if need be. It would be the greatest consert of all time. I can't wait!

As fans, we will support you, honnor you, salute you, cheer for you and love you! Lets do this thing. See you soon Jackson family. All the best

  • freakin amazing

  • I just feel so sad wheni know how his dad treated him so not the way but he is Mj so gifted The lOrd is Kind

    Amina

  • what did you do? was it to ALL of them?

  • Hi this is a reply for candiigurl .Mickael Jackson father use to heat them badly to get them to dance and sing proprely and i have had a similar childhood myself but 10 time worst and i felt so hurt when i read his childhood .Some people are sick .

  • What do mean "heat them?" Please be more specific. It's sounds terrible... same goes for you. Just keep your head up and know to always forgive, no matter how bad that person is. ^-^ God is with you!

  • To candiigurl go to youtube then type "living with mickael Jackson" there is a interview with Martin Bachir or type "mickael Jackson interview you will find them

  • yea but that interview with that dude was edited,, and cut off very important things that mj said its sad how mj trusted him,, and then he goes and twits the whole thing,, u can watch this in, living with michael jackson take two part 1 and so forth! :)

  • did ever once that they call him dad instead of jospeh

  • lolz thtz a gud question cuz i neva notice they callin him dad

  • joseph does not want them to call him daddy instead he wants them to call him JOSEPH only

  • well thanks

  • they are actually VERY good dancers. Michael is the best.

  • i thought michael was 12 but if randy is michael must be 15. He looks to young to be 15

  • No Randy wasn't with his brothers yet he didn't join them until late 1972. Yes Michael here was about 11 or 12 years old.

  • actually Michael was 14. They lied about his age when they premiered on the Ed Sullivan Show. They said he was 9 when he really was 11. It was part of Motown's marketing

  • @ghscheer90: ACTUALLY since Michael's birthday is in the middle of the year (August 1958 almost September really) and this clip is from presumably early 1972 Michael is 13 1/2 years old and by that same token since Randy's birthday is in late October (1961) Randy is 10 1/2 here. Randy's also hella talented in this intro. Underrated Jackson brother. Family of prodigies.

  • seriously, randy had a great intro...its hard to believe all of the talent in that family

  • @MJwrek: Recap of ages in this clip of Hellzapoppin' (aired March 1, 1972 presumably taped days or weeks earlier): Jackie (big guy in middle. May 4, 1951) age 20 going on 21. Tito (chubby guy on left with guitar. October 15, 1953) about age 18 1/2. Jermaine (tall guy on right with bass. December 11, 1954) age 17. Marlon (shorter guy on left. March 12, 1957) age 14 nearly 15. Michael (short frontman. August 29, 1958) age 13 1/2. Randy (littlest one on bongos. October 29, 1961) about age 10 1/2.

  • wait.... did u just call Tito chubby???? DAMN... I've often wondered why so many people have self image problems in this country.

  • @NiceVideos11: It was just a silly joke, NiceVideos11. Don't take it so seriously. We always knew Tito was the brawniest one on stage. Saying 'chubby' is just teasing. They call it tongue-in-cheek humor.

  • yea,he's not rlly chubby...jus has a fat face...none of thm boys were evr rlly chubby...

  • come on man tito wasnt chubby as yet

  • Randy was real short to be 12, at fist I thought he was 7 or something.

  • Michael was the king at 10 years old he sold me on that Got To Be There damn sounded just like the record

  • got to be there is my all time favorite song ohhhhh.... my gosh micheal jackson is so cute...

  • I wanna know when did micheal jackson started to spins more then 3 time? Here didn't spin at all.

  • It seems that it was after his voice changed. Between that time he probably wasn't singing too much hence having more time to come up with new stuff. His shoes even changed (no more heels).

  • Nope. Michael started spinning at the beginning of the Jackson 5 hype. Though not as much, in early performances he would usually do one spin a song. He had such an amazing voice when he was young that he was focusing on his voice instead of complicated dance moves. Not that he didn't eventually change that once he got older and his voiced changed.

  • Oh - and they all switched from platforms because they were a fad of the seventies, not because it inhibited him. xD

  • the best

  • The BEST!!

  • im amazed at his voice as adult but omfg his voice incredible back then... like seriously thats the best male voice of all time no contest. from a child to an adult best!

  • Lookit Randy go! <3

  • mike was and still is a great singer... bless his soul... I hope one day he comes back

  • one of their best TV performances IMO. And MissChalina is a friend of mine so be nice to her ;)
