basically i feel he loves them all in somewhat different ways. Felica is the sexiest (c'mon leather!!!) but he probably loved Gwen and MJ more. I think those 2 are his true loves but as confusing as he himself finds it, he probably loves MJ more since hes been through more stuff with her
@maverickslb80 thank you bro. of course i have nothing against fans of Gwen or Fellicia or Betty Brant (snort, do those even exist). its all a matter of interpretation. any argument we put forward can they can undermine, any arguement they put forward we can undermine. theres scope for both frankly so i say we just pick whichever one we want
@227060 That's why Spider-Man is the best superhero in the world, he by far the most interesting character there is... I think he must be the only superhero who's alter ego is as important as Spider-Man... I also have my opinion and it's pretty much similar to yours. I think if Gwen wouldn't have died, she would have been Peter's great love for life... On the olter hand MJ is already more important than Gwen, as you said, they've been through a lot he learned to love her and she's the one now...
@227060 I have to admit... Fellicia is def my favourite... she's amazing. But in my opinion Spider-Man's relation with her was more like a sexual thing. She was a mistery and a challenge for him, it's more like an adventure I guess... But then again I could be wrong... :)
@maverickslb80 no i think thats about right. the way i see it Gwen loved peter, Felicia loved Spidey. MJ loved both, she has been the ONLY woman to date who can actually handle being Ms Spider-Man. if he'd maried Black Cat i think they probably wudda split, bcos she would've wanted excitment and stuff. the thing about Gwen living is its tricky. yeah her death was a factor in his hooking up with MJ but its like, her death brought them closer and by doing that....
@227060 ...it allowed Peter to get to know the real MJ. bcos something alot of ppl forget, he didn't choose Gwen over MJ when she was alive, he chose Gwen over the facade he belived to be the real Mary jane. he knew NOTHING about her home life or the guilt she had about shirking her responsibilities and stuff. to me thats a big part of why he fell in love with her and why they r so compatible, they both live with guilt, they both have parental issues...
@227060 ...peter lost his parents which,, bcos hes spiderman, he on some childish level blames himself for (happens alot with orphans im told) and then he blames himself for his uncle's death. MJ on some level blames herself for her parent's split, her mother's death and abandonning her sister so they are both screwed up. had gwen lived MJ would've continued the facade of the party girl and Peter would never have known her properly thereofre never fallen in love with her...
@227060 ...had he known what she was really like we can only speculate if he would've chosen her over Gwen, bcos to me, Pete/MJ seem more compatible and more real. I mean i don't hate Gwen (cheating on him with NORMAN FRIGGIN OSBORN aside) but, c'mon she was never as tough as MJ and im honestly not sure if she could'v hacked the crap MJ has had to deal with beign Peter's wife. she would've loved him sure, but I think peter himself said he wouldv been prtecting her more than MJ...
@227060 ...so sorry for the long ass post friend promise this is the last 1. just wanted to say agree with u about Spiudey being the most interesting superhero. i like others of course but betweent he big 3 (superman, Batman and Spiderman) his constant ID crisis is fascinating and hes more grounded. plus hes a perfectly balanced superhero. he has powers unlike batman so you can bring in fantasy elements but his powers aren't so extreme that hes practically invincible like many Superman
@227060 As for Gwen cheating on Peter, that's the ONE thing I could never forgive Straczynski... and Quesada for allowing that! Thats was so ridiculous, everyone that knew Gwen Stacy knows that she would never do that, it doesn't make sense, even when we see her interact with Osborn before she died... and she was a sweet innocent girl, she's not that type... and with Osborn?? that makes everything even more ridiculous and creepy... to me it's like that Straczynski story never happened...
@maverickslb80 wait, no that story wasn't retconned, or do you mean everyone (writers included just ignore it). im very divided over the story bcos ORIGINALLY JMS wanted the twins to be Gwen's AND Peter's kids but was vetoed. i think we might've gottent he lesser of 2 evils. at least the twins can be retconned "actually we are gentically engineered from Norman's and Gwen's DNA and Gwen's memories were altered to just fuck with you Peter" or something like that
@227060 ...the thing with me was I actually LOVED Sins Past when i first read it. before u burn me i was looking at it from a story POV, it flowed nicely the art was nice and i wasn't seeing it as a Gwen story but as a Green Goblin story. at the time it was just another reason why Norman was so evil and i liked it bcos i love to Hate Norman, the numero uno Spidey villain. NOW tho i totally get it, retcon that shit man. poor JMS, i actually don't think hes a bad writer...
@227060 ..but under his tenure he ROYALLY screwed over Spidey's 2 main love interests (u have to be special to do THAT). I might, might have been able to forgive him for Sins Past but never,e ver OMD. apart from my Pete/Mj love, it just RAPED 20 years of continuity overall. I mean Norman doesn't even know Spidey's ID anymore THE FUCK, thats so important to his character. mind u OMD was more Joe Q's fault than JMS (but it wasn't like he was totally opposed)...

@227060 i mean OMD has got to be the WORST Spiderman story ever, no lie. clone saga was confusing but when it was over, little permanant damage had been done. Oh and the writers of Clone Saga, CLONE SAGA, dismissed using Mephisto as a get out clause. thats bad when you use steal idea the Clone Saga people thought was too crap to use. JMS's first 7 volumes were actually good (compared to Howard Mackie), the mystic stuff was awkard but not too bad. he could write Pete/MJ VERY well i have to say
@227060 Yes I agree, all JMS's stories were great! he gave Spider-Man amazing stories and his writing was superb... along with John Romita Jr art... like I said the only thing that I hated and I wont admit is the idea of Gwen having an affair with Osborn, when every real Spider-Man fan knows she would never do that... ever! and to be honest the Green Goblin is not even a villain that I like very much... I prefer Hobgoblin from the 80s for example... or the Green Goblin from the 60s stories...
@227060 The clone saga was good at the beginning but the writers were shiting their pants after Spider-Man fans demanding Peter Parker to be the real Spider-Man and not Ben Reilly... so they fucked up the entire saga, trying to clean up the mess... I admit that I was a little ofended with the idea of " you know the Spider-Man that you love so much during all these decades? That wasn't really him.... tahnk you, now here's Ben Reilly"... But One More Day is just an insult to our inteligence :S
@227060 thanks for your comments, I enjoyed reading and again I have the exact same opinion you have about Spidey... He really is the best (not even the other 2 from the top 3, Batman & Superman are as interesting and complex as Spider-Man is... far from that)... and you have a point when you sat that MJ is the only one that accepted both Peter and Spider-Man, she really might be the woman of his life... Gwen loved Peter and hated Spider-Man... Felicia... well, you just can't trust her...
@maverickslb80 i mean its iffy about Gwen and Spiderman she unfairly hated Spiderman and i think her blaming him was u know understandable and stuff, but again, would she have properly accepted that part of his life. I feel she would've tried to dissuade him from it like MJ has on several occassions, the difference is MJ can accpet it when she needs to and then theres that other bit of crucial information. She ALWAYS knew he was Spiderman, she had already accepted it
@227060 Yes, she unfairly hated Spider-Man but I never blamed her... no one can. She thought Spider-Man murdered her father, Cap. Stacy... Aunt May also hated Spider-Man, so I guess it was normal for Peter, he was used to it lol :D
@maverickslb80 where do you stand on the aunt may thing about her coming back to life after amazing...400 wasn't it. personally i preferred it that she died with dignity and it was a neat twist that she always knew Pete was Spidey. she was literally USELESS when she came back to life until JMS made her discover Spidey's ID (1 of the things he did do well on the series), but now...sigh, she doesn't know AGAIN. i dunno whats shes even up to now i heard she like marrried JJJ's dad (how old is HE)
@227060 They only did "One more day" to give Peter his secret identity back (after everybody knowing who he was in Civil war, best Marvel saga ever) and to have Peter single again... I confess that the storie after " One more day" are excelent! They have that 70s kinda of era to me... But that "Mephysto deal with the devil" thing was a shame... Aunt May should have died and remain like that just like Gwen did all this years, but let's face it, there's no way Marvel would kill Aunt May forever.
@maverickslb80 they killed her in the 90s and that was a truly touching story and moment. i haven't read the BND stories and i do like 70s spidey (but i like 60s, 80s, 90s and bizarly 50s spidey too :S) but from what i understand most of whats good about these enw stories a) didn't need a deal with the devil retcon (Peter would NEVER do that) nor did they really requiree a single spiderman. havign said that we finally got to write Spidey/fellicia sex (could've done a flashback tho)
@maverickslb80 as i understand it (i haven't read it myself) during a storyline after OMD called Back in Black Cat (wow just wow, that title) Peter and Fellicia undeniably have sex, soemthing which i don't think was ever implied before in the comics. im not sure if was ever hinted if they ever did or didn't have sex when they were dating, but regardless this was the first time writers ever did it undeniably
@227060 Oh yes, that :D Yeah it's about time they put things as they are... during the 80s stories we all know what Peter and Felicia were doing when they weren't fighting crime lol XD And Felicia is such a sex-symbol in the comics, beautiful and misterious, Peter being a single guy now just can't resist her lol
@maverickslb80 guess not. i think she is definitly sexier than the character who partially inspired her Catwoman, altho I dunno do you reckon shes a better character?
@maverickslb80 I do really like Catwoman too and I think in some weird weird way the Batman/Catwoman romance thing is sexier. I think its sexier on a chemistry kind of level, physically Felica wins hands down but unlike Catwoman im not to sure if she could support her own ongoing series. maybe if they made her a proper detective again like in the late 90s. I thinkt he reason she hasn't cropped up in lots of spidey stories is bcos shes so popular. u don't want her to get old u know?
@227060 I like Catwoman too, but I have to disagree on this... I don't know why, but for me Batman doesn't work very much on the romance/sex aspect... sometimes he doesn't seem to like women very much (sorry Batman fans :D) Spider-Man always had a more interesting love life (Betty Brant, Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane, Felicia Hardy, even some flirts with other women)... and for me Felicia could support her own ongoing series, she's very misterious, we never know in which side she is...
@maverickslb80 batman probably doesn't work in the romance./sex aspect bcos hes...hes just batman its all about the mission hes never had a proper relationship like pete or superman but if he did we all KNOW it'd end badly bcos the mission would get in the way. still his an selina's cat and mouse games are entertaining on a chemistry level. Iron man has seen more women than pete but bcos they are all mostly 1 nite stands Pete's love life is probably the most interesting in comics...
@227060 tbh i think Felica is on whatever side takes eher fancy. she is the ultimate grey area. it annoys me whenever i see like images of Spiderman's villains, u know like a group shot and she's included. im like...no she isn't really a villain. shes NEVER tried to kill Spiderman to my knowledge which even the Burgler tried to do. Catwoman while shes an anti-hero now she was at least a proepr villainess for a awile and so ok u can count her in Bats' rogue gallery
@227060 Felicia is def not a villain... she's not very trusty but she would never do any arm to Spider-Man... Tony Stark had more women than Peter because is rich, a pelayboy, just like any ugly famous sportsman can have as amny women as he wish... now what Peter's sucess with women is much harder to get than being a millionaire... just like Trump is married to a model lol ;)
@227060 you see, that's what I don't like about Batman! He's rich, his mission is to revenge his parent's death?that wasn't even his fault!! Uncle Ben's death was in a big way, Peter's responsability.Batman's story happens everyday all over the world..But having the person you love the most killed beacuse you didnt do what was right and what that person inspired you to do all is life? Now that's a hell of a motive and a hell of a story. I like Batman but Spider-Man is so much more interesting
@227060 But I agree when you say it's better for her to appear randomly in Spider-Man's stories... But the same thing goes for Catwoman in my opinion, she's not a character to have her own title magazine, these two are more interesting appearing from time to time...
@maverickslb80 i think Selina is entitled to her own mag so long as Batman, Robin, Nightwing or whoewver isn't popping into it every story arc or something. im fine for her to share villains and all like Black cat and Daredevil sometiems do with Spidey, but you know a black cat mini series should only bust out the spdiey guest appearence eitherer for the debut story or more apprpriatly for special occassions since she is effectivly a spin off title.
@maverickslb80 agreed. for me what kinda lets me accept batman's origin is that its got a more mythic quality to it if you see what i mean. Spider-man is a modern myth like most superheores but maybe not the extent of Batman or Superman. Batman is DEFINED by his quest for justice vengeance and being this creatur e of the night. Superman is equally like the new messiah. Spiderman is WAY more down to earth, spiderman hasn't got a mission hes just doing the best he can with what hes got
@227060 Again I like Batman, but I can't buy most of the stuff... what makes Batman just another superhero is the lack of interest on the Bruce Wayne character... I would believe more in Superman as someone who would definitly do what he does in real life... why Spider-Man is so much better than Superman & Batman? Peter Parker... People are as much interessed in Spider-Man as in Peter Parker... he has a personality! Bruce Wayne is souless, nobody cares about him, they just want to see Batman...
@maverickslb80 this is undeeniably true. i mean ok diferent ppl interpret it differently, but i myself am very much on the side of "Bruce Wayne is Batman's disguise" supporters. something i like more about 80s post crisis Superman was that Clark kent was actually a person not just a disguise for Superman. with Spiderman, i think there is a more complex identity crisis there. i don't think he is definitivly Spiderman OR Peter parker, he himself has trouble with it.
@227060 Of course I saw all the Spider-Man movies and almost all cartoons as well... I remember watching Spider-Man and his amazing friends, the 90s Spider-Man series and the EXCELENT Spectacular Spider-Man ;)
I never saw the 60s cartoons, but we all know the famous theme song :D
@maverickslb80 love that theme song. its bcos of the 90s theme song that i really got into the Spidey comics...and i guess comics in general. looking back its flawed but still good. i was too pissed off when the cancelled Spectacualr Spider-Man. they've got another show based off of Ultimate Spiderman coming out. i like Ultimate Spiderman but iwanted a cartoon based on the orighnal comics more since i think...well they're kinda better,t hey are the originals
@227060 Exactly my point! Ultimate Spider-Man is pure quality and that, but for me it's like another alternative dimension for Spidey. The real Spider-Man for me is the one we all know, from The amazing Spider-Man books or even the cartoons... You're right,90s Spidey show was pretty good for the time (they even introduced the 3D tech in a cartoon there) but for me Spectacular Spider-Man was sooooo good!!! I was surprised, I thought it would be childish but I was wrong... very well written!
@maverickslb80 extremly wel written it was done by the guy who did Gargoyles (dunno if you ever saw) that. my expectation was the same based off the characetr models but no those'childish' models were just so the action could look AMAZING, seriously iv never seen Spiderman move that well even in the movies, it really captured all the flips and things he was capable of. the reason ppl push Ultiante Spidey is bcos its more modern and allegedly aceesable.its not....
@227060 Yes, in Spectacular Spider-Man, besides the amazing writing and dialogue, the action is just FANTASTIC!!! those flips, the way he uses his webs, the way he fight... I was very happy wiyh all that :) and you're right, not even in movies, he moves as good as in that cartoon... let's see how they're gonna make the actions scenes in the new upcoming movie, I have a lot of faith and expectation XD
ps: I never saw Gargoyles but I know the cartoon, it was very popular...
@maverickslb80 Gargoyles was sorta Disney's answer to Batman the Animated seires and is arguably the darkest thing Disney EVER made. im looking forward to the new Spidey movie. what i don't like is how alot of ppl are called the Raimi films shit or the new film shit b4 they've seen it. i reckon between the Raimi films and the new ones we'll get a good portrayal of Spidey. Raimi's films are college peter parker the new films are gonna b high school peter so best of both worlds
@227060 Spectacular Spider-Man is all about good dialogue, suspense, and THAT is the Peter Parker from the comics, his humour, worries, cleverness... it's all there, perfect... I was pissed off as well when they cancelled the show, I have all the DVDs :( Those series correspond in quality to the Batman 90s cartoon, it's Spidey version of that quality...
Oh and that magnificent theme song from the 60s show? That helped Spider-man to become ultra famous all around the world in my opinion :D
@maverickslb80 Ultimate spiderman wasn't anymore accessable that the orignal 60s comics. its just u know 1 was set int he 60s the other modern times. just tkae the 60s story and drop the 60s pop culturea nd tech. the fundamentals are timeless. that theme song is awesome made maybe more awesome by michael bubble. for me between Spectacualr + the 90s show Spidey sorta got the Batman TAS treatment but im still waiting for a DEFINITIVE cartoon. Spectacular cudv done it if itd lasted
@227060 Spider-Man stories wheter be the 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s are not unaccessable! Ok, there is no internet, no cell phones and some political issues of nowadays, but come on, people understand that and go along with it! Besides Spidey from that era is better than Ultimate Spidey, I have trouble seeing Ultimate Spider-Man as the real one... it's more like a diversion to me. And now, they even killed Peter in that "universe", apparently now his name is Miles whatever and he's gay... please... :S
@maverickslb80 i mean i have no problem with minority characters or anything but it is kinda disengenuous. you are killing off peter parker for this other noob. why not just create another alternate universe for that 1. guy it just seems a bit too shallow an attempt to connect with modern audiences. which is ridiculous bcos Spidey is eeeeasily the most acceable superhero out there i remember 1 clever statement that the costume and mask make it so that almost any1 can project themselves as him
@227060 the ultimate spidey is defintly just another spiderman, not the real or definitive one. i mean having peter be a photographer yeah its less realistic than being a 'web designer' which ok its a funny joke and inc character of him ebign a geek but it greatly hampers the story potential with JJJ, 1 of my fav Spidey characetrs. how much interaction is Jonah gonna have with a wweb designer as he is with aphotographer, let alone it being less funny that pete is getting 1 ovr on JJ...
@227060 ugh sorry for long rant again. its like this. i like/liked ultimate spiderman but only as a refreshing contrrast to the REAL spiderman. i mean think about it would it be as enjoyable if you DIDN'T know about the regular universe versions of the characters and didn't get the jokes when this black dude called ben reilly shows up or MJ accidentaly calls herself Watson-Parker? the Ult universe frankly is less interesting overall, i mean chaarcters are legitimate assholes there
@227060 What would have really piss me off is if they had killed Peter in the regular Marvel universe, I would be furious, even if we know they eventually bring him back to life afterwords... about that new kij, Morales, I don't care if he's black, white, asian, martian, it doesnt matter! He's not Spider-Man to me, never will be, I don't give a shit about him and I doubt if one day I read one of his stories... the only thing I like about him is the uniform, looks cool...
@227060 And the most ridiculous thing about Miles Morales is the fact that the editors made him black, so all black peolpe could relate to spidey... Black people already related to Spidey!!! since he was created!! I even watched an interview from a black fan showing his disapointment because of the new Spider-Man. He said black people already felt related to Peter Parker, that's why he's so beloved by everybody! he even said he couldn't stand this new kid Morales...
@227060 Bottom line, there was no need for this embaracing situation, by creating this new Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man editor not only made Spider-Man fans angry, but also showed that the only one thinking about prejudice... was him! Spider-Man was never about race, colour of skin or religion... everybody loves the way he is, all races... period
@227060 Agree, that was a major "faux-pas" from the editors, I don't understand how those idiots didn't get that Spider-Man is big, important mostly because of PETER PARKER?? Fans love Spider-Man but in the end it's all about Peter, that's what makes him different from all other superheroes... thaey should be the first to know that, they work for Marvel! But like I said, I don't really care much about the ultimate universe, for me the regular universe (ASM) it's what counts....
@maverickslb80 totally agrere.. Peter Parker IS Spiderman plain and simple. Migail O'Hara is Spiderman 2099 and he is cool and all...but hes not THE Spiderman. the real spiderman pawns all pretenders. and iv always found that a wee it unintentionally racist unto itslef. black ppl can ONLY relate to black characetrs now? sure if a character was whiter than white maybe that'd hold water but Peter parker is meant to be an every man who 'happens' to be white
@227060 ppl shouldn't relate to spidey bcos of his sskin colour but bcos he has money/girl/social troubles and equally EVERYONE should regard him as a role model bcos of his personality not his appearence. Ok bcos its the Ultimate universe you can kill off major characters like spiderman in a way you NEVER could in the main universe but the storyline itself was so transparently made to get to this new guy. and u r right about Peter being the attraction i mean...
@227060 in over 40 years spiderman has manged to change costumes and even identites entirly and ppl carried on reading. now having spider powers is awesome and makes for some great fights like only spiderman can provide but unlike say Batman (or most other animal themes supe heroes) how much emphassi was placed upon him being spider-like really. relativly little (until JMS came along) which goes to show you could just as easily have called the comic the Amazing Peter Parker and be done with it
@227060 It's funny when I remember... You know what made me love Spider-Man my all life? When I was 6, 7, I was offered a Spidey comic. At that time Spider-Man wasn't mega porpular as he is nowadays. He was more like a cult superhero. When I start reading the first comic, I was blown away. Amazed. Then I was curious. I wanted more and more so I "demanded" my parents to buy me Spider-Man comics. No other superheros. Only him. Then I started to get familiar with Peter Parker...
@227060 .. one of the best stories ever made in comics! Even the drug issue was introduced in Spider-Man comic, Harry Osborn addiction... and with all Peter's problems, money, girls, etc, who was dark and the serious comic book? I don't know if you saw Andrew Garfield speech at comic-con, but he feels exactly like me. I needed Spidey in my life and due to Spider-Man example and morals, I can genually say that he made me a better person trough life. Still does :)
@227060 ... the first 2 issues that I read, I was pretty amazed. Spider-Man had lost his battles in those 2 issues. It always ended bad for him. I thougt to myself "this is no regular superhero where everything always goes well, they are always so heroic, so ridiculously and annoyingly perfect.. this guy is different!" and then... it was Peter Parker. I felt like I was him. Man I could understand him...I love how most of his stories ended up bad.. And his costume! God, I love Spider-Man costume!
@maverickslb80 ppl go gaga over the blac suit and it is awesome and everything (and better at looking like a spider) but the red and blue apart from being classic its just such a unique and wodnerful pice of FASHION let alone as a super hero costume. ppl think its just some red gloves and boots, blue pants and a red top but no when you examine it its actually simple yet complex the way it wraps around and spaces out the red and the blue. + unlike OTHER superheroes the underwear is on the inside
@227060 if i was being a bit arrogant i like to think im a kinda funny guy and rewatching the 90s spiderman cartoon i never realised that SO much of the style of many of my jokes and stuff comes from spiderman, just the way he is flippant and constantly wisecracking. No one wisecrakcs like spidey apart from Deadpool and 90% of the superheores now who wisecrack in fights got it from spiderman he is 1 of the few characetrs where being funny is actually integral to his character...
@227060 when i was little and watching that cartoon i was waiting for him tomake like the usual superheores i was expecting it and was slightly confused when it never really happened but then after that most other heroes seemed that little bit less interesting to me. do you remember what your first spidey comics were. i was weird cos i bought some comics when i was younger but wasn't old enough to understand them (i thought the cartoon WAS spiderman)...
@227060 they were also during the clone saga so it was all over the place and i was for eyars just glancing over the pictures. but i remember the first time i actually properly sat downa nd read a spiderman comic from start to finish. see i live in the Uk and here we have 'collector's editions' which basically reprint the US from 2-3 years ago and occassionally classic stories too but its worth your money since you get 3 issues in 1. the first comic i read was the finale to the clone saga...
@227060 ...and the cover had Peter carrying a broken Ben Reilly while they looked on upon the gigantic image (and i mean gigantic it was a wrap around cover) of the Green Goblin. bcos of that cover and the corresponding story where Norman Osborn OWNS Spiderman the Green goblin was BURNED into my memory as THE spiderman villain. it was a while before i found anopther issue and that 1 happened to feature a One shot which explained the clone saga, hence why i don't hate it.
@maverickslb80 oh totally agree there altho that is part of the joke i think. i mean Deadpool even has a harem of gwen styacy clones as his maids. OH have you read this Deadpool annual where he goes back in time and is trasported into Spiderman's past, but i mean LITERALLY Spiderman's past into a real life 1970s spiderman comic completle with John Romita esque art for the panals in the past and modern art for the ones in the present day. in it Deadpool pretends to be pete and hits on Gwen
@227060 I never heard of that story but I wish I could read that :P But it doesn't surprise me, Deadpool is completly obcessed with Spidey... I remember a story of an encounter between them and it was so hilarious, Deadpool making comments about Spider-Man comics (even issues) to Spidey himself! lol... oh and Spidey can't stand the guy, he's a pain in the ass lol

@maverickslb80 i don't think anyone canreally stand deadpool, but he does have a 1 up on every other superheor bcos he can break the fourth wall. you could try downloadijng that issue or i know for afact that it was included in a trade paper back. i could direct you where to get it if you want
@maverickslb80 originall it was in deadpool #11 and the Spidey story it takes place during is Amazing Spider-Man # 47 i think. its collected in Deadpool classic volume 3 available at Amazon.co.uk tho im sure you can find it elsewhere. sadly i cannot find ahnywhere for you to download the issue individually but i did find a torrent which has it and a shit load of other Deadpool comics too if you interested

@227060 Exactly man!! His sense of humour is so perfect, cuts like a knife :D pisses his enemie so much!! and I agree, I love tha red and blue costume, it's so beautiful and classic, but the black suit... oh my God!! it's so badass! I love the black suit! remember me saying that I love the Tom DeFalco/Ron Frenz era.. it's mostly because of the black suit and those incredible stories of course ..
@maverickslb80 the balc suit almost makes me feel guilty for the spiderwoman fasns bcos of course she had that design before Spidey but now everyone just thinks of it as Spiderman's costume. Something which i thought was GENIUS was that after he ditched the alien suit they gave him the cloth balck suit cos they knew how popular it was. i read that Spidey's humour is legitimatly part of his fighting style which i never thought about but its so true, no one can fight like Spidey
@227060 that's rigth!!!! Spider-Woman already had that suit! I tend (and everybody) to forget that.. glad they notice how cool the costume was for Spider-Man ;)
@maverickslb80 well to each their own. i do like Hobby but not as much as GG. tbh its really GG its Norman Osborn himself hes so gloriously evil. I think JMS stories were hampered by exec pressure. Spidey was anew avenger so he kinda had to have em in avengers tower, civil war he had to unmask, back in black, spiderman 3 (they deny but its so obvious) and of course OMD. I mean at least Peter being the clone was a twist u didn't see coming and provided drama....
@227060 i liked his costume and stories but enjoy them more more now that i know in the end he wasn't the real spidey, it was just a chance for someone else to be spidey for awhile and I did like Ben Reilly (im glad Pete came back tho). and as a 'resolution' tot he 'problem' of the marriage frankly i'd have taken it over OMD, Peter, Mj and baby May get a happy ending, writers get the single spidey they are convinved they need to tell good stories
@227060 I also liked Ben Reilly and his costume, but I guess we're all happy that Peter is the real Spider-Man ;)
The real problem with the Clone saga was the plot... too confusing, lots of plot holes... But the idea was good, when I first read "Peter Parker is not the real Spider-Man" in the newspaper, I was excited about it... I know Tom de Falco wrote the story about how the Clone Saga should have been really made... I'm stilll waiting for that issue to come out here in Portugal...
@maverickslb80 Ben Reilly costume was really really cool and im glad Tom Defalco revived it in Spidergirl. funny how now i (and i think most ppl) associate the costume more with her than Ben Reilly (mind u it does look better on her wink wink) u ever see any Spider fgirl comics b4? I think the clone saga is a big mashup of some really really great ideas and bcos of that i prefer it to OMD, at least it had some drama and orignality. Tom D's clone saga isn't really how it was originally intended..
@227060 ...its basically's Tom Defalco's own preferred kinda idea about how the thing could've turned out, it isn't actually how the writers ever orignally planned it at all. that story features Norman Osborn, a character who was in the original cone saga but who according to most sources wasn't part of the original storyline until right at the very end so he couldn't have been part of the originally planned story.its not a bad story tho
@227060 Unfortunely I never saw a Spidergirl story because where I live that comic is not for sale :( But sometimes I buy Wizard and critics are pretty good, maybe I'll buy some Spidergirl comics online... ;)
@maverickslb80 if you beware bcos she has 3 comics to her name. if you were starting out you'd want Spider-Girl digest volume 1, not Amazing or Spectacular Spider-girl, those were sequels. yeah i love Spidergirl, for me thats like the almost perfect future for Peter parker and Spider-Girl herself is a great character. the comics are very silver age in thier dialogue and stories, sometimes its cheesy and a bit childish, but thats sorta Tom Defalco's style
@227060 I believe you, if It's a Tom Defalco style, I'm in it! I'm a fan of the 80s Tom Defalco/Ron Frenz era (Ron was the nº2 Spider-Man artist for me, Nº 1 will always be John Romita Sr)
I already buy The Amazing Spider-Man and Spectacular Spider-Man online, maybe I'll buy Spider-Girl too :p
@maverickslb80 oh if you liked Tom DeFalco'sand ROn Frenz's joint work you'll like Spider-Girl bcos they are co-creaotrs. many of the early issues feature Pat Orlaiffe as the artist and hes brilliant too but at some point (i forget when) Ron Frenz took over again and basically drew it until it finished recently. Spidergirl draws upon alot of continuity from late 90s post-clone war spidey stories, Black Taratula and all that stuff. Frenz is a good artist tho like u say JRSR is the best...
@227060 ...I actually really really liked MacFarlane's work on Spider-man too i dunno why it just always appealed to me. Ditko of course as well i can't praise him enough. what about John Romita Junior, what do you think of him?
@227060 Oh man, John Romita SR is GOD!!! his son is good too, but John SR is the definitive Spider-Man artist... and he knew how to draw beautiful women...
@maverickslb80 oh yeah man. i mean i love steve's stuff and i kind alike that peter wasn't handsome like typical heroes (JRSR made him handsome later but u can put that down to Peter growing up a bti) but i really don't think Mary Jane's first appearence would've been as iconic if JRSr hadn't drawn her. i mean it was just WOW. u got a fav Spidey writer, mine's JM DeMattis i ain't read much of Defalco's stuff besides Spidergirl and the Ultimate guide to Spiderman, omg thats amazing.
@227060 It's true, even Stan Lee wasn't too happy for Peter being so handsome in the John Romita era lol... For me the perfect Peter Parker inspired in the John Romita Sr style in a movie would have been Tom Cruise in the movie Top Gun or The Firm... I like many Spider artists, my favourite is John Romita, I also love Ron Frenz, Ross Andru and lot of the young guys today... My favourite writer... there are many... but the great stories I remember were from Gerry Conway, JM DeMattis, Tom DeFalco
@227060 It seems so good... I already ordered it, must be delivered at the end of the month...eat your heart out lol... oh you must see a Black Cat statue that I own...
@227060 You bet... but it was expensive as fuck... I was a little bit worried to see it in real, because sometimes it's one thing in a photo and another in reality... but man, that is one beautiful statue, perfect, even more amazing in real... maybe I'll make a video of the statue one day :)
@227060 Tell me about it! I was getting paranoid lol! That was what I feared the most, the statue to be broken when I recieved it... and mostly because of the (amazing) hair she has and the fact it was coming from the other side of the world... but everything went fine, she's like a trophey in my room and I don't let everybody holding her, because I'm still afraid someone can drop her lol XD
@227060 Theres no problem about that, search for "Chris Matos" in my main photo, I have sunglasses, a black shirt and a tie... It's nice to talk with someone that have such an interesting point of view about comics, specially Spider-Man that I can relate to... But identify yourself so I know it's you lol, ok?
@maverickslb80 ok im alex evangeli my pic is me in the blue t shirt with like this turret behind me. in your picture are you like lying on a bench cos thats the only hit i got when i searched your name in FB
@227060 His costume is the best in superhero history. Those bis eyes, I never seen a superhero covered from head to toe. His costume reminded me a ninja style... They use to say that Batman has a darker tone. It's not true. Batman was only darker starting in the 80s because of a brilliant writer called Frank Miller. But Spider-Man stories were dark from the very first issue. Uncle Ben's death ironicaly because of Peter. Cap Stacy death. The violent and tragic death of Gwen Stacy...
@maverickslb80 to be fair to batman his very first stories int he late thirties were quite dark for the time and then in the 50s and 60s he became camper to fit in with the science fiction craze. even before Miller he'd gone back to being a darker detective but Miller took the darkness to another level. Spiderman has always been this wonderful mix between darkness and tragedy but in a more honest realistic sense than Batman's, more like what real ppl would be like if that happened to them

Okay for one I can't stand Mj such a whiny female who gets on my nerves I can't stand seeing her face in the comics at all . That red head pisses me off I don't care what anyone says about that so I wish they would change it so I can stop seeing her face or whatever and gwen I used to support that pairing but I support a different pairing so there. Besides I really hate the fact that he's married and the nonetheless married to her. yuck
I always believed Gwen and Peter were meant to be together. Im just glad in Ultimate spider-man they're together. For some reason i can't stand mary Jane
Mary Jane and Peter were meant to be together. If you don't believe me then read One More Day. Even though it destroyed their marriage, it proved that she was and is Peter's truest love. And like MJ said, they''ll find each other in this altered reality. And that's happening right now.
I am a Peter/MJ fan. But I have 2 get some opinions. Who does Peter love more Gwen or Mary Jane? Bcos House of M, House of M Spider-Man and Son of M: where he says for a while he got everything he ever wanted out of life, including the woman he wanted, and it wasn't MJ; has confused me inside. Please, please help me out
@eviltree99 yeah, but when did he stop writing it? before Gwen even died, before Peter began getting serious with MJ. When he dated MJ under Lee's tenure he was going out with the masquerade MJ put up tot he world, not the real person underneath whom he eventually fell in love with. Additionally real world opinions r exceedingly dodgy, its somewhat safer, at least in this case i feel, to go by what is depicted in canon.
@eviltree99 From what iv read over the years, it seems to be either MJ or Gwen and from what i have observed, it seems that MJ actually has the lead. He doesn't NOT love Gwen but I just don't think at the end of the day he loves her more than MJ. Its difficult bcos Marvel isn't gonna confirm or deny this stright up since its gonna upset SOMEBODY no matter what decision they take (mind u marvel doesn't seem to give ashit these days but anyways). Thing with Lee was HE married them off so???
Nice video too three of Spidey's girls! But, um, the showing of the breasts! DUDE! NOT APPROPRIATE!! I know Spider-Man like the back of my hand. I understand that Black Cat has always had big whoo hoo's, but, putting pictures of MJ and Felicia exposing their breasts is just not acceptable! In the word's of Rosemary Harris in her role as Aunt May: SHAME ON YOU!!
uhmm... nobody knows more about Spider-man than me and I know that... but this is a video dedicated to the most important women of peter's life? and they are SENSUAL women, I dont think that the images there wont shock anybody! but maybe they shocked you and I apolagize for that...
See, that is where your wrong! Nobody know's Spider-Man like, um, gee, I don't know, Stan Lee! THE CREATOR OF THE WEBHEAD! And, MJ was never sensual like Black Cat was portrayed too be. Gwen and MJ were both very sweet ladies. Where MJ lived a rough life, until she met Peter, Gwen was loved by her family.
I garantee that I know more about Spider-man than Stan the Man himself!he told in a tv interview that he didn't know much about Spidey's stories nowadays, he didn't even know that they killed aunt May... I have almost every number of ASM so I think that makes me some kind of expert in this field... and MJ was never sexy? LOL! You must be kidding me!! Just read some of Stan Lee or John Romita Sr interviews and you will see that MJ was created to be a "total Knockout"!!
I don't agree with you. I don't want too argue. MJ and Gwen both rock! Two gorgeous and very intelligent women in Peter Parker's life! And, they beat ALL the villains that Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man ever defeated! I know MJ was a knockout! She's awesome! And, yes, she was a model, as is Gwen.
Gwen, I agree was always beautiful, but more discret than MJ or Black Cat. But MJ was always very sexy and a party animal, just read the first comics in which she appears...
I did read the first comics. Although, Gwen Stacy was more conservative, more introverted. But, that doesn't make her unattractive. I actually find that very attractive and appealing in that character. People shouldn't be fooled just because Peter and MJ end up together after Gwen's death. They need too remember that, Gwen is, was, and always will be #1 in Peter's life! And, she's #1 in my book!
Well I agree with you on that one... Gwen will always be the greatest love of peter's life... He would have married her if she didn't died... And she was the most classy because she was more discret than MJ. She was like an angel. that's why I hated that story when Marvel say that she had an affair with Norman Osborn. It's just not her!!! But I love MJ too, I think she is amazing...
Thanks. Yeah, I mean, I agree with you on the stupidity of her affair with Osborn! I mean, what the freakin hell were the writers thinking? I mean, she had an affair with THE MAN THAT KILLED HER!! But, both women were total cuties! And, yeah, MJ is my favorite character! And, what's really awesome is, she was brought too life by my favorite actress, Kirsten Dunst! And, yeah, Gwen was like an angel! Loved her! Awe heck! I love both of Pete's girls! I mean, their not annoying like Lois Lane!
Right you are!!! Peter had the best girls in comics!! And that's one more reason why he's the best character EVER! plus, they had real personalities, just like real people...They are 3 different beautiful women... Gwen and MJ will always be the best, but I just can't forget the Black Cat Era... she is such an intriguing character... and soooooo sexy in the way they drew it!! It was the wild side of Peter's life...
Yeah, and, it just blows me away at how well Kirsten Dunst, and, now, Bryce Dallas Howard brought MJ and Gwen too life! The two of them together kicked Kate Bosworth in the ass! She was such a slut in Superman Returns! It'll be a while before Black Cat show's up in the films, can you think of any actresses who could play the role? I've been wondering.....
lol that's a great question... the actress who plays Black Cat should be a voluptous one, lololol! and big breasted too ;)! I think jessica Simpson has the looks, but unfortunely she doesn't know how to act... and she's not very smart either... who's your choice?
Imagine if Spiderman was made into a haream anime

HeidanHart 2 months ago
basically i feel he loves them all in somewhat different ways. Felica is the sexiest (c'mon leather!!!) but he probably loved Gwen and MJ more. I think those 2 are his true loves but as confusing as he himself finds it, he probably loves MJ more since hes been through more stuff with her
227060 6 months ago
@227060 I agree 100%!
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@maverickslb80 thank you bro. of course i have nothing against fans of Gwen or Fellicia or Betty Brant (snort, do those even exist). its all a matter of interpretation. any argument we put forward can they can undermine, any arguement they put forward we can undermine. theres scope for both frankly so i say we just pick whichever one we want
227060 6 months ago
@227060 That's why Spider-Man is the best superhero in the world, he by far the most interesting character there is... I think he must be the only superhero who's alter ego is as important as Spider-Man... I also have my opinion and it's pretty much similar to yours. I think if Gwen wouldn't have died, she would have been Peter's great love for life... On the olter hand MJ is already more important than Gwen, as you said, they've been through a lot he learned to love her and she's the one now...
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@227060 I have to admit... Fellicia is def my favourite... she's amazing. But in my opinion Spider-Man's relation with her was more like a sexual thing. She was a mistery and a challenge for him, it's more like an adventure I guess... But then again I could be wrong... :)
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@maverickslb80 no i think thats about right. the way i see it Gwen loved peter, Felicia loved Spidey. MJ loved both, she has been the ONLY woman to date who can actually handle being Ms Spider-Man. if he'd maried Black Cat i think they probably wudda split, bcos she would've wanted excitment and stuff. the thing about Gwen living is its tricky. yeah her death was a factor in his hooking up with MJ but its like, her death brought them closer and by doing that....
227060 6 months ago
@227060 ...it allowed Peter to get to know the real MJ. bcos something alot of ppl forget, he didn't choose Gwen over MJ when she was alive, he chose Gwen over the facade he belived to be the real Mary jane. he knew NOTHING about her home life or the guilt she had about shirking her responsibilities and stuff. to me thats a big part of why he fell in love with her and why they r so compatible, they both live with guilt, they both have parental issues...
227060 6 months ago
@227060 ...peter lost his parents which,, bcos hes spiderman, he on some childish level blames himself for (happens alot with orphans im told) and then he blames himself for his uncle's death. MJ on some level blames herself for her parent's split, her mother's death and abandonning her sister so they are both screwed up. had gwen lived MJ would've continued the facade of the party girl and Peter would never have known her properly thereofre never fallen in love with her...
227060 6 months ago

227060 6 months ago
@227060 As for Gwen cheating on Peter, that's the ONE thing I could never forgive Straczynski... and Quesada for allowing that! Thats was so ridiculous, everyone that knew Gwen Stacy knows that she would never do that, it doesn't make sense, even when we see her interact with Osborn before she died... and she was a sweet innocent girl, she's not that type... and with Osborn?? that makes everything even more ridiculous and creepy... to me it's like that Straczynski story never happened...
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@maverickslb80 wait, no that story wasn't retconned, or do you mean everyone (writers included just ignore it). im very divided over the story bcos ORIGINALLY JMS wanted the twins to be Gwen's AND Peter's kids but was vetoed. i think we might've gottent he lesser of 2 evils. at least the twins can be retconned "actually we are gentically engineered from Norman's and Gwen's DNA and Gwen's memories were altered to just fuck with you Peter" or something like that
227060 6 months ago
@227060 ...the thing with me was I actually LOVED Sins Past when i first read it. before u burn me i was looking at it from a story POV, it flowed nicely the art was nice and i wasn't seeing it as a Gwen story but as a Green Goblin story. at the time it was just another reason why Norman was so evil and i liked it bcos i love to Hate Norman, the numero uno Spidey villain. NOW tho i totally get it, retcon that shit man. poor JMS, i actually don't think hes a bad writer...
227060 6 months ago

227060 6 months ago
@227060 Yes I agree, all JMS's stories were great! he gave Spider-Man amazing stories and his writing was superb... along with John Romita Jr art... like I said the only thing that I hated and I wont admit is the idea of Gwen having an affair with Osborn, when every real Spider-Man fan knows she would never do that... ever! and to be honest the Green Goblin is not even a villain that I like very much... I prefer Hobgoblin from the 80s for example... or the Green Goblin from the 60s stories...
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@227060 The clone saga was good at the beginning but the writers were shiting their pants after Spider-Man fans demanding Peter Parker to be the real Spider-Man and not Ben Reilly... so they fucked up the entire saga, trying to clean up the mess... I admit that I was a little ofended with the idea of " you know the Spider-Man that you love so much during all these decades? That wasn't really him.... tahnk you, now here's Ben Reilly"... But One More Day is just an insult to our inteligence :S
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@227060 thanks for your comments, I enjoyed reading and again I have the exact same opinion you have about Spidey... He really is the best (not even the other 2 from the top 3, Batman & Superman are as interesting and complex as Spider-Man is... far from that)... and you have a point when you sat that MJ is the only one that accepted both Peter and Spider-Man, she really might be the woman of his life... Gwen loved Peter and hated Spider-Man... Felicia... well, you just can't trust her...
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@maverickslb80 i mean its iffy about Gwen and Spiderman she unfairly hated Spiderman and i think her blaming him was u know understandable and stuff, but again, would she have properly accepted that part of his life. I feel she would've tried to dissuade him from it like MJ has on several occassions, the difference is MJ can accpet it when she needs to and then theres that other bit of crucial information. She ALWAYS knew he was Spiderman, she had already accepted it
227060 6 months ago
@227060 Yes, she unfairly hated Spider-Man but I never blamed her... no one can. She thought Spider-Man murdered her father, Cap. Stacy... Aunt May also hated Spider-Man, so I guess it was normal for Peter, he was used to it lol :D
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@maverickslb80 where do you stand on the aunt may thing about her coming back to life after amazing...400 wasn't it. personally i preferred it that she died with dignity and it was a neat twist that she always knew Pete was Spidey. she was literally USELESS when she came back to life until JMS made her discover Spidey's ID (1 of the things he did do well on the series), but now...sigh, she doesn't know AGAIN. i dunno whats shes even up to now i heard she like marrried JJJ's dad (how old is HE)
227060 6 months ago
@227060 They only did "One more day" to give Peter his secret identity back (after everybody knowing who he was in Civil war, best Marvel saga ever) and to have Peter single again... I confess that the storie after " One more day" are excelent! They have that 70s kinda of era to me... But that "Mephysto deal with the devil" thing was a shame... Aunt May should have died and remain like that just like Gwen did all this years, but let's face it, there's no way Marvel would kill Aunt May forever.
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@maverickslb80 they killed her in the 90s and that was a truly touching story and moment. i haven't read the BND stories and i do like 70s spidey (but i like 60s, 80s, 90s and bizarly 50s spidey too :S) but from what i understand most of whats good about these enw stories a) didn't need a deal with the devil retcon (Peter would NEVER do that) nor did they really requiree a single spiderman. havign said that we finally got to write Spidey/fellicia sex (could've done a flashback tho)
227060 6 months ago
@227060 What do you mean by that we finally got to write Spidey/Felicia sex?
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@maverickslb80 as i understand it (i haven't read it myself) during a storyline after OMD called Back in Black Cat (wow just wow, that title) Peter and Fellicia undeniably have sex, soemthing which i don't think was ever implied before in the comics. im not sure if was ever hinted if they ever did or didn't have sex when they were dating, but regardless this was the first time writers ever did it undeniably
227060 6 months ago
@227060 Oh yes, that :D Yeah it's about time they put things as they are... during the 80s stories we all know what Peter and Felicia were doing when they weren't fighting crime lol XD And Felicia is such a sex-symbol in the comics, beautiful and misterious, Peter being a single guy now just can't resist her lol
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@maverickslb80 guess not. i think she is definitly sexier than the character who partially inspired her Catwoman, altho I dunno do you reckon shes a better character?
227060 6 months ago
@227060 Oh yeaahhh, she's a better character in my point of view... I only wish she appeared a lot more in spidey´s stories...
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 I do really like Catwoman too and I think in some weird weird way the Batman/Catwoman romance thing is sexier. I think its sexier on a chemistry kind of level, physically Felica wins hands down but unlike Catwoman im not to sure if she could support her own ongoing series. maybe if they made her a proper detective again like in the late 90s. I thinkt he reason she hasn't cropped up in lots of spidey stories is bcos shes so popular. u don't want her to get old u know?
227060 5 months ago
@227060 I like Catwoman too, but I have to disagree on this... I don't know why, but for me Batman doesn't work very much on the romance/sex aspect... sometimes he doesn't seem to like women very much (sorry Batman fans :D) Spider-Man always had a more interesting love life (Betty Brant, Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane, Felicia Hardy, even some flirts with other women)... and for me Felicia could support her own ongoing series, she's very misterious, we never know in which side she is...
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 batman probably doesn't work in the romance./sex aspect bcos hes...hes just batman its all about the mission hes never had a proper relationship like pete or superman but if he did we all KNOW it'd end badly bcos the mission would get in the way. still his an selina's cat and mouse games are entertaining on a chemistry level. Iron man has seen more women than pete but bcos they are all mostly 1 nite stands Pete's love life is probably the most interesting in comics...
227060 5 months ago
@227060 tbh i think Felica is on whatever side takes eher fancy. she is the ultimate grey area. it annoys me whenever i see like images of Spiderman's villains, u know like a group shot and she's included. im like...no she isn't really a villain. shes NEVER tried to kill Spiderman to my knowledge which even the Burgler tried to do. Catwoman while shes an anti-hero now she was at least a proepr villainess for a awile and so ok u can count her in Bats' rogue gallery
227060 5 months ago

I like Batman but Spider-Man is so much more interesting
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@227060 But I agree when you say it's better for her to appear randomly in Spider-Man's stories... But the same thing goes for Catwoman in my opinion, she's not a character to have her own title magazine, these two are more interesting appearing from time to time...
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 i think Selina is entitled to her own mag so long as Batman, Robin, Nightwing or whoewver isn't popping into it every story arc or something. im fine for her to share villains and all like Black cat and Daredevil sometiems do with Spidey, but you know a black cat mini series should only bust out the spdiey guest appearence eitherer for the debut story or more apprpriatly for special occassions since she is effectivly a spin off title.
227060 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 agreed. for me what kinda lets me accept batman's origin is that its got a more mythic quality to it if you see what i mean. Spider-man is a modern myth like most superheores but maybe not the extent of Batman or Superman. Batman is DEFINED by his quest for justice vengeance and being this creatur e of the night. Superman is equally like the new messiah. Spiderman is WAY more down to earth, spiderman hasn't got a mission hes just doing the best he can with what hes got
227060 5 months ago
@227060 Again I like Batman, but I can't buy most of the stuff... what makes Batman just another superhero is the lack of interest on the Bruce Wayne character... I would believe more in Superman as someone who would definitly do what he does in real life... why Spider-Man is so much better than Superman & Batman? Peter Parker... People are as much interessed in Spider-Man as in Peter Parker... he has a personality! Bruce Wayne is souless, nobody cares about him, they just want to see Batman...
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 this is undeeniably true. i mean ok diferent ppl interpret it differently, but i myself am very much on the side of "Bruce Wayne is Batman's disguise" supporters. something i like more about 80s post crisis Superman was that Clark kent was actually a person not just a disguise for Superman. with Spiderman, i think there is a more complex identity crisis there. i don't think he is definitivly Spiderman OR Peter parker, he himself has trouble with it.
227060 5 months ago
@227060 I agree 100% :D
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 u ever see any of the spider man cartoons or movies?
227060 5 months ago
@227060 Of course I saw all the Spider-Man movies and almost all cartoons as well... I remember watching Spider-Man and his amazing friends, the 90s Spider-Man series and the EXCELENT Spectacular Spider-Man ;)
I never saw the 60s cartoons, but we all know the famous theme song :D
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 love that theme song. its bcos of the 90s theme song that i really got into the Spidey comics...and i guess comics in general. looking back its flawed but still good. i was too pissed off when the cancelled Spectacualr Spider-Man. they've got another show based off of Ultimate Spiderman coming out. i like Ultimate Spiderman but iwanted a cartoon based on the orighnal comics more since i think...well they're kinda better,t hey are the originals
227060 5 months ago
@227060 Exactly my point! Ultimate Spider-Man is pure quality and that, but for me it's like another alternative dimension for Spidey. The real Spider-Man for me is the one we all know, from The amazing Spider-Man books or even the cartoons... You're right,90s Spidey show was pretty good for the time (they even introduced the 3D tech in a cartoon there) but for me Spectacular Spider-Man was sooooo good!!! I was surprised, I thought it would be childish but I was wrong... very well written!
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 extremly wel written it was done by the guy who did Gargoyles (dunno if you ever saw) that. my expectation was the same based off the characetr models but no those'childish' models were just so the action could look AMAZING, seriously iv never seen Spiderman move that well even in the movies, it really captured all the flips and things he was capable of. the reason ppl push Ultiante Spidey is bcos its more modern and allegedly aceesable.its not....
227060 5 months ago
@227060 Yes, in Spectacular Spider-Man, besides the amazing writing and dialogue, the action is just FANTASTIC!!! those flips, the way he uses his webs, the way he fight... I was very happy wiyh all that :) and you're right, not even in movies, he moves as good as in that cartoon... let's see how they're gonna make the actions scenes in the new upcoming movie, I have a lot of faith and expectation XD
ps: I never saw Gargoyles but I know the cartoon, it was very popular...
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 Gargoyles was sorta Disney's answer to Batman the Animated seires and is arguably the darkest thing Disney EVER made. im looking forward to the new Spidey movie. what i don't like is how alot of ppl are called the Raimi films shit or the new film shit b4 they've seen it. i reckon between the Raimi films and the new ones we'll get a good portrayal of Spidey. Raimi's films are college peter parker the new films are gonna b high school peter so best of both worlds
227060 5 months ago
@227060 Spectacular Spider-Man is all about good dialogue, suspense, and THAT is the Peter Parker from the comics, his humour, worries, cleverness... it's all there, perfect... I was pissed off as well when they cancelled the show, I have all the DVDs :( Those series correspond in quality to the Batman 90s cartoon, it's Spidey version of that quality...
Oh and that magnificent theme song from the 60s show? That helped Spider-man to become ultra famous all around the world in my opinion :D
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 Ultimate spiderman wasn't anymore accessable that the orignal 60s comics. its just u know 1 was set int he 60s the other modern times. just tkae the 60s story and drop the 60s pop culturea nd tech. the fundamentals are timeless. that theme song is awesome made maybe more awesome by michael bubble. for me between Spectacualr + the 90s show Spidey sorta got the Batman TAS treatment but im still waiting for a DEFINITIVE cartoon. Spectacular cudv done it if itd lasted
227060 5 months ago
@227060 Spider-Man stories wheter be the 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s are not unaccessable! Ok, there is no internet, no cell phones and some political issues of nowadays, but come on, people understand that and go along with it! Besides Spidey from that era is better than Ultimate Spidey, I have trouble seeing Ultimate Spider-Man as the real one... it's more like a diversion to me. And now, they even killed Peter in that "universe", apparently now his name is Miles whatever and he's gay... please... :S
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 i mean i have no problem with minority characters or anything but it is kinda disengenuous. you are killing off peter parker for this other noob. why not just create another alternate universe for that 1. guy it just seems a bit too shallow an attempt to connect with modern audiences. which is ridiculous bcos Spidey is eeeeasily the most acceable superhero out there i remember 1 clever statement that the costume and mask make it so that almost any1 can project themselves as him
227060 5 months ago
@227060 the ultimate spidey is defintly just another spiderman, not the real or definitive one. i mean having peter be a photographer yeah its less realistic than being a 'web designer' which ok its a funny joke and inc character of him ebign a geek but it greatly hampers the story potential with JJJ, 1 of my fav Spidey characetrs. how much interaction is Jonah gonna have with a wweb designer as he is with aphotographer, let alone it being less funny that pete is getting 1 ovr on JJ...
227060 5 months ago
@227060 ugh sorry for long rant again. its like this. i like/liked ultimate spiderman but only as a refreshing contrrast to the REAL spiderman. i mean think about it would it be as enjoyable if you DIDN'T know about the regular universe versions of the characters and didn't get the jokes when this black dude called ben reilly shows up or MJ accidentaly calls herself Watson-Parker? the Ult universe frankly is less interesting overall, i mean chaarcters are legitimate assholes there
227060 5 months ago
@227060 What would have really piss me off is if they had killed Peter in the regular Marvel universe, I would be furious, even if we know they eventually bring him back to life afterwords... about that new kij, Morales, I don't care if he's black, white, asian, martian, it doesnt matter! He's not Spider-Man to me, never will be, I don't give a shit about him and I doubt if one day I read one of his stories... the only thing I like about him is the uniform, looks cool...
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@227060 And the most ridiculous thing about Miles Morales is the fact that the editors made him black, so all black peolpe could relate to spidey... Black people already related to Spidey!!! since he was created!! I even watched an interview from a black fan showing his disapointment because of the new Spider-Man. He said black people already felt related to Peter Parker, that's why he's so beloved by everybody! he even said he couldn't stand this new kid Morales...
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@227060 Bottom line, there was no need for this embaracing situation, by creating this new Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man editor not only made Spider-Man fans angry, but also showed that the only one thinking about prejudice... was him! Spider-Man was never about race, colour of skin or religion... everybody loves the way he is, all races... period
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@227060 Agree, that was a major "faux-pas" from the editors, I don't understand how those idiots didn't get that Spider-Man is big, important mostly because of PETER PARKER?? Fans love Spider-Man but in the end it's all about Peter, that's what makes him different from all other superheroes... thaey should be the first to know that, they work for Marvel! But like I said, I don't really care much about the ultimate universe, for me the regular universe (ASM) it's what counts....
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 totally agrere.. Peter Parker IS Spiderman plain and simple. Migail O'Hara is Spiderman 2099 and he is cool and all...but hes not THE Spiderman. the real spiderman pawns all pretenders. and iv always found that a wee it unintentionally racist unto itslef. black ppl can ONLY relate to black characetrs now? sure if a character was whiter than white maybe that'd hold water but Peter parker is meant to be an every man who 'happens' to be white
227060 5 months ago
@227060 ppl shouldn't relate to spidey bcos of his sskin colour but bcos he has money/girl/social troubles and equally EVERYONE should regard him as a role model bcos of his personality not his appearence. Ok bcos its the Ultimate universe you can kill off major characters like spiderman in a way you NEVER could in the main universe but the storyline itself was so transparently made to get to this new guy. and u r right about Peter being the attraction i mean...
227060 5 months ago
@227060 in over 40 years spiderman has manged to change costumes and even identites entirly and ppl carried on reading. now having spider powers is awesome and makes for some great fights like only spiderman can provide but unlike say Batman (or most other animal themes supe heroes) how much emphassi was placed upon him being spider-like really. relativly little (until JMS came along) which goes to show you could just as easily have called the comic the Amazing Peter Parker and be done with it
227060 5 months ago
@227060 It's funny when I remember... You know what made me love Spider-Man my all life? When I was 6, 7, I was offered a Spidey comic. At that time Spider-Man wasn't mega porpular as he is nowadays. He was more like a cult superhero. When I start reading the first comic, I was blown away. Amazed. Then I was curious. I wanted more and more so I "demanded" my parents to buy me Spider-Man comics. No other superheros. Only him. Then I started to get familiar with Peter Parker...
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@227060 .. one of the best stories ever made in comics! Still does :)
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@227060 ... the first 2 issues that I read, I was pretty amazed. God, I love Spider-Man costume!
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 ppl go gaga over the blac suit and it is awesome and everything (and better at looking like a spider) but the red and blue apart from being classic its just such a unique and wodnerful pice of FASHION let alone as a super hero costume. ppl think its just some red gloves and boots, blue pants and a red top but no when you examine it its actually simple yet complex the way it wraps around and spaces out the red and the blue. + unlike OTHER superheroes the underwear is on the inside
227060 5 months ago
@227060 if i was being a bit arrogant i like to think im a kinda funny guy and rewatching the 90s spiderman cartoon i never realised that SO much of the style of many of my jokes and stuff comes from spiderman, just the way he is flippant and constantly wisecracking. No one wisecrakcs like spidey apart from Deadpool and 90% of the superheores now who wisecrack in fights got it from spiderman he is 1 of the few characetrs where being funny is actually integral to his character...
227060 5 months ago
@227060 when i was little and watching that cartoon i was waiting for him tomake like the usual superheores i was expecting it and was slightly confused when it never really happened but then after that most other heroes seemed that little bit less interesting to me. do you remember what your first spidey comics were. i was weird cos i bought some comics when i was younger but wasn't old enough to understand them (i thought the cartoon WAS spiderman)...
227060 5 months ago
@227060 they were also during the clone saga so it was all over the place and i was for eyars just glancing over the pictures. but i remember the first time i actually properly sat downa nd read a spiderman comic from start to finish. see i live in the Uk and here we have 'collector's editions' which basically reprint the US from 2-3 years ago and occassionally classic stories too but its worth your money since you get 3 issues in 1. the first comic i read was the finale to the clone saga...
227060 5 months ago
@227060 ...and the cover had Peter carrying a broken Ben Reilly while they looked on upon the gigantic image (and i mean gigantic it was a wrap around cover) of the Green Goblin. bcos of that cover and the corresponding story where Norman Osborn OWNS Spiderman the Green goblin was BURNED into my memory as THE spiderman villain. it was a while before i found anopther issue and that 1 happened to feature a One shot which explained the clone saga, hence why i don't hate it.
227060 5 months ago
@227060 Deadpool is coll... but the wisecracking is so much ripped off Spider-Man... even his costume...
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 oh totally agree there altho that is part of the joke i think. i mean Deadpool even has a harem of gwen styacy clones as his maids. OH have you read this Deadpool annual where he goes back in time and is trasported into Spiderman's past, but i mean LITERALLY Spiderman's past into a real life 1970s spiderman comic completle with John Romita esque art for the panals in the past and modern art for the ones in the present day. in it Deadpool pretends to be pete and hits on Gwen
227060 5 months ago

227060 5 months ago
@227060 Yes I would thank you for that... do you know in what comic it was? or the title of the story?
maverickslb80 5 months ago

I love the black suit! remember me saying that I love the Tom DeFalco/Ron Frenz era.. it's mostly because of the black suit and those incredible stories of course ..
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 the balc suit almost makes me feel guilty for the spiderwoman fasns bcos of course she had that design before Spidey but now everyone just thinks of it as Spiderman's costume. Something which i thought was GENIUS was that after he ditched the alien suit they gave him the cloth balck suit cos they knew how popular it was. i read that Spidey's humour is legitimatly part of his fighting style which i never thought about but its so true, no one can fight like Spidey
227060 5 months ago
@227060 that's rigth!!!! Spider-Woman already had that suit! I tend (and everybody) to forget that.. glad they notice how cool the costume was for Spider-Man ;)
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 tbh weirdly it looks better on him than on spider woman O_O???
227060 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 well to each their own. i do like Hobby but not as much as GG. tbh its really GG its Norman Osborn himself hes so gloriously evil. I think JMS stories were hampered by exec pressure. Spidey was anew avenger so he kinda had to have em in avengers tower, civil war he had to unmask, back in black, spiderman 3 (they deny but its so obvious) and of course OMD. I mean at least Peter being the clone was a twist u didn't see coming and provided drama....
227060 6 months ago
@227060 i liked his costume and stories but enjoy them more more now that i know in the end he wasn't the real spidey, it was just a chance for someone else to be spidey for awhile and I did like Ben Reilly (im glad Pete came back tho). and as a 'resolution' tot he 'problem' of the marriage frankly i'd have taken it over OMD, Peter, Mj and baby May get a happy ending, writers get the single spidey they are convinved they need to tell good stories
227060 6 months ago
@227060 I also liked Ben Reilly and his costume, but I guess we're all happy that Peter is the real Spider-Man ;)
The real problem with the Clone saga was the plot... too confusing, lots of plot holes... But the idea was good, when I first read "Peter Parker is not the real Spider-Man" in the newspaper, I was excited about it... I know Tom de Falco wrote the story about how the Clone Saga should have been really made... I'm stilll waiting for that issue to come out here in Portugal...
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@maverickslb80 Ben Reilly costume was really really cool and im glad Tom Defalco revived it in Spidergirl. funny how now i (and i think most ppl) associate the costume more with her than Ben Reilly (mind u it does look better on her wink wink) u ever see any Spider fgirl comics b4? I think the clone saga is a big mashup of some really really great ideas and bcos of that i prefer it to OMD, at least it had some drama and orignality. Tom D's clone saga isn't really how it was originally intended..
227060 6 months ago
@227060 ...its basically's Tom Defalco's own preferred kinda idea about how the thing could've turned out, it isn't actually how the writers ever orignally planned it at all. that story features Norman Osborn, a character who was in the original cone saga but who according to most sources wasn't part of the original storyline until right at the very end so he couldn't have been part of the originally planned story.its not a bad story tho
227060 6 months ago
@227060 Unfortunely I never saw a Spidergirl story because where I live that comic is not for sale :( But sometimes I buy Wizard and critics are pretty good, maybe I'll buy some Spidergirl comics online... ;)
maverickslb80 6 months ago
@maverickslb80 if you beware bcos she has 3 comics to her name. if you were starting out you'd want Spider-Girl digest volume 1, not Amazing or Spectacular Spider-girl, those were sequels. yeah i love Spidergirl, for me thats like the almost perfect future for Peter parker and Spider-Girl herself is a great character. the comics are very silver age in thier dialogue and stories, sometimes its cheesy and a bit childish, but thats sorta Tom Defalco's style
227060 6 months ago
@227060 I believe you, if It's a Tom Defalco style, I'm in it! I'm a fan of the 80s Tom Defalco/Ron Frenz era (Ron was the nº2 Spider-Man artist for me, Nº 1 will always be John Romita Sr)
I already buy The Amazing Spider-Man and Spectacular Spider-Man online, maybe I'll buy Spider-Girl too :p
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 oh if you liked Tom DeFalco'sand ROn Frenz's joint work you'll like Spider-Girl bcos they are co-creaotrs. many of the early issues feature Pat Orlaiffe as the artist and hes brilliant too but at some point (i forget when) Ron Frenz took over again and basically drew it until it finished recently. Spidergirl draws upon alot of continuity from late 90s post-clone war spidey stories, Black Taratula and all that stuff. Frenz is a good artist tho like u say JRSR is the best...
227060 5 months ago
@227060 ...I actually really really liked MacFarlane's work on Spider-man too i dunno why it just always appealed to me. Ditko of course as well i can't praise him enough. what about John Romita Junior, what do you think of him?
227060 5 months ago
@227060 Oh man, John Romita SR is GOD!!! his son is good too, but John SR is the definitive Spider-Man artist... and he knew how to draw beautiful women...
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 oh yeah man. i mean i love steve's stuff and i kind alike that peter wasn't handsome like typical heroes (JRSR made him handsome later but u can put that down to Peter growing up a bti) but i really don't think Mary Jane's first appearence would've been as iconic if JRSr hadn't drawn her. i mean it was just WOW. u got a fav Spidey writer, mine's JM DeMattis i ain't read much of Defalco's stuff besides Spidergirl and the Ultimate guide to Spiderman, omg thats amazing.
227060 5 months ago
@227060 It's true, even Stan Lee wasn't too happy for Peter being so handsome in the John Romita era lol... For me the perfect Peter Parker inspired in the John Romita Sr style in a movie would have been Tom Cruise in the movie Top Gun or The Firm... I like many Spider artists, my favourite is John Romita, I also love Ron Frenz, Ross Andru and lot of the young guys today... My favourite writer... there are many... but the great stories I remember were from Gerry Conway, JM DeMattis, Tom DeFalco

maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 do that in case you lose/break that thing (god forbid). iv always been iffy about statues bcos im shit scared they'll break
227060 5 months ago
@227060 Tell me about it! I was getting paranoid lol! That was what I feared the most, the statue to be broken when I recieved it... and mostly because of the (amazing) hair she has and the fact it was coming from the other side of the world... but everything went fine, she's like a trophey in my room and I don't let everybody holding her, because I'm still afraid someone can drop her lol XD

The violent and tragic death of Gwen Stacy...
maverickslb80 5 months ago
@maverickslb80 to be fair to batman his very first stories int he late thirties were quite dark for the time and then in the 50s and 60s he became camper to fit in with the science fiction craze. even before Miller he'd gone back to being a darker detective but Miller took the darkness to another level. Spiderman has always been this wonderful mix between darkness and tragedy but in a more honest realistic sense than Batman's, more like what real ppl would be like if that happened to them

@maverickslb80 His costume is the best in superhero history.

Please, please help me out
227060 2 years ago 8
@227060 According to Stan Lee Peter loved Gwen more than any of his other girlfriends including MJ.
eviltree99 9 months ago 4
@eviltree99 yeah, but when did he stop writing it? before Gwen even died, before Peter began getting serious with MJ. When he dated MJ under Lee's tenure he was going out with the masquerade MJ put up tot he world, not the real person underneath whom he eventually fell in love with. Additionally real world opinions r exceedingly dodgy, its somewhat safer, at least in this case i feel, to go by what is depicted in canon.
227060 9 months ago
@227060 Yeah that's why I'm going based on what Lee said because I'm not sure who I'd consider his greatest love to be otherwise.
eviltree99 9 months ago 4

In the word's of Rosemary Harris in her role as Aunt May: SHAME ON YOU!!
sdkjhsdglih 3 years ago
uhmm... nobody knows more about Spider-man than me and I know that... but this is a video dedicated to the most important women of peter's life? and they are SENSUAL women, I dont think that the images there wont shock anybody! but maybe they shocked you and I apolagize for that...
maverickslb80 3 years ago
See, that is where your wrong! Nobody know's Spider-Man like, um, gee, I don't know, Stan Lee! THE CREATOR OF THE WEBHEAD! And, MJ was never sensual like Black Cat was portrayed too be. Gwen and MJ were both very sweet ladies. Where MJ lived a rough life, until she met Peter, Gwen was loved by her family.
sdkjhsdglih 3 years ago
I garantee that I know more about Spider-man than Stan the Man himself!he told in a tv interview that he didn't know much about Spidey's stories nowadays, he didn't even know that they killed aunt May... I have almost every number of ASM so I think that makes me some kind of expert in this field... and MJ was never sexy? LOL! You must be kidding me!! Just read some of Stan Lee or John Romita Sr interviews and you will see that MJ was created to be a "total Knockout"!!
maverickslb80 3 years ago
I don't agree with you. I don't want too argue. MJ and Gwen both rock! Two gorgeous and very intelligent women in Peter Parker's life! And, they beat ALL the villains that Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man ever defeated! I know MJ was a knockout! She's awesome! And, yes, she was a model, as is Gwen.
sdkjhsdglih 3 years ago
Gwen, I agree was always beautiful, but more discret than MJ or Black Cat. But MJ was always very sexy and a party animal, just read the first comics in which she appears...
maverickslb80 3 years ago
I know that. But, I can't pit Gwen and MJ against each other. They both rock!
sdkjhsdglih 3 years ago 4
I did read the first comics. Although, Gwen Stacy was more conservative, more introverted. But, that doesn't make her unattractive. I actually find that very attractive and appealing in that character. People shouldn't be fooled just because Peter and MJ end up together after Gwen's death. They need too remember that, Gwen is, was, and always will be #1 in Peter's life! And, she's #1 in my book!
sdkjhsdglih 3 years ago 9
Well I agree with you on that one... Gwen will always be the greatest love of peter's life... He would have married her if she didn't died... And she was the most classy because she was more discret than MJ. She was like an angel. that's why I hated that story when Marvel say that she had an affair with Norman Osborn. It's just not her!!! But I love MJ too, I think she is amazing...
maverickslb80 3 years ago
I mean, their not annoying like Lois Lane!
sdkjhsdglih 3 years ago 8
Right you are!!! Peter had the best girls in comics!! And that's one more reason why he's the best character EVER! plus, they had real personalities, just like real people...They are 3 different beautiful women... Gwen and MJ will always be the best, but I just can't forget the Black Cat Era... she is such an intriguing character... and soooooo sexy in the way they drew it!! It was the wild side of Peter's life...
maverickslb80 3 years ago
Yeah, and, it just blows me away at how well Kirsten Dunst, and, now, Bryce Dallas Howard brought MJ and Gwen too life! The two of them together kicked Kate Bosworth in the ass! She was such a slut in Superman Returns! It'll be a while before Black Cat show's up in the films, can you think of any actresses who could play the role? I've been wondering.....
sdkjhsdglih 3 years ago 8
lol that's a great question... the actress who plays Black Cat should be a voluptous one, lololol! and big breasted too ;)! I think jessica Simpson has the looks, but unfortunely she doesn't know how to act... and she's not very smart either... who's your choice?
