  • why the smoke man didnt kill jacob?? he could kil him

  • @lamees122 i remember that there were rules i dont remember in what chapter

  • @lamees122 He cant kill whoever is in charge of the island..jacobs mother made him in charge..thus he cant kill him. Right here Jacob asked "why did you try to kill me" because the smoke man convinced Richard to try to kill him earlier.

  • i like how smashing the bottle and releasing the wine represents him destroying the island to get free

  • Man in Black looks like my Electronics professor.

  • i sincerely miss this show

  • @n0vag0d couldn't agree more.

  • When I first saw this I was like "Oh, that was some dang heavy symbolism." And it really is.

  • The smoke man is so sinister and dark, but you can't really blame him for turning out the way he did since he's not even technically human by this point and it would suck to have to live on that island for centuries unable to even leave for a little while like Jacob can somehow.

  • @CosmicUndeadElf i know. jacob didn't even buy him any duty free presents or anything when he went to the world. just some crap wine he made on the island.

  • The odd couple lol

  • From 1:34 - 1:36 I thought itnwas who wants to be a millionaire theme tune lol

  • greeeat sceeenee..........................<3

  • im confused ii only saw the episode where jacob kills him and hes mom right? and he throwws him into that glowing river and a bunch of darkness flies sometin like dat lol

  • Dont gloat jacob it dosent become you haha!

  • this has become my new faverote scene

  • After how many centuries it was since Jacob was aware of the MiB's intentions, he still "wanders" why MiB tried to kill him, and MiB answers seriously as if it were an earnest and sensible question??

Making dialogue cool/story-telling should be balanced with having it make sense!

  • @Uxoriouswidow that is what I thought to...was it possible that Richard was the first time MiB thought of using someone else to kill Jacob? If so, these two "gods" are extremely dumb. And I still hate how for all we know they could have just let the poor sod leave the island

  • @NasaCortis If MiB is near people for long enough they will get infected and go evil (plus he'll probably just kill everyone in the world anyway).

  • @Uxoriouswidow Jacob likes to play dumb I think. In the scene in The Incident, MIB accuses Jacob of bringing the people on the Black Rock to the island however Jacob denies it but admits later to Richard that he is responsible.

  • @ChaosKnightXD We're lead to believe that Jacob and MiB have been on this island for centuries prior to this conversation, and since the beginning Jacob knew that MiB wanted to leave, and couldn't do so whilst he's guardian. Playing dumb loses all meaning when stetched so far beyond the blatant obvious: and the fact that MiB answered him seriously after all this time makes it even more ridiculous.

  • @ChaosKnightXD Jacob doesn't deny bringing The Black Rock to the island.

  • I love the face of MIB at 1:09. Guys, no matter you liked the plot or not, the cast of lost was fantastic.

  • He just wanted to leave!

  • 1:08 "Yeah! Didn't think of that, did you?"

  • Maybe when MiB returns to his timeline, the other timelines stop to exist somehow, but aslong he is on the island that can't happen.

    I'm confused!

  • I think they represent two different realities/universes,that are like Highlanders:''There can be only one''.MiB wants to entablish a certain timeline and Jacob represents that ''whatever happened, happenened'' philosophy. They both have connections to the eloctromagnetic energy of the island wich is also a ''womb'' to new universes/timelines.

  • i think jack will be the new jacob.. but i think someone will replace smoke monster too

  • I was going out of my MIND at this point - the wine bottle metaphor, the intense dynamic between Jacob/Man in Black... So freaking epic, it still gives me chills. Honestly, so far, this one is my favorite. So this entire story is about Jacob and the Man in Black using all of these random people as pawns for good and evil. Let's hope someone steps up to take Jacob's place soon... We've only got 4 episodes left, lol...

  • Jacob and MIB are brothers and the island is there chess board. and the people they bring to the island are pawns. and they have been playing this game for centuries. The "game" seems to be coming to the end very soon.

  • Thats a really good idea Jacob get the Smoke Monster drunk. :-p

  • wine to pass the time?

    How about a dozen buds?

  • fucking faggot!

    (I mean the mib)

  • one of the greatest scenes in lost ever, the wine bottle explains everything in such an easy way

  • Jacob and MIB are the two sides of the same coin but i think MIB make the true nature of the persons come outiside and Jacob is like the conscience of the persons

  • I think the writes said that Jacob is good and MIB bad.

I wouldn't consider him as bad when he says everybody is corruptible.

Why is he evil? He didn't do nothing bad, Jacob brought all the pain.

Well that's too easy as well but I hope ya got my point.

It'd be nice if this ying/yang situation would lead into a grey area.

  • is the man in black the wine in the bottle. Or does he want to help to let the evil "wine in the bottle" escape?

  • both.. he is evil

  • Oh ok.... I had to watch it again. I kept thinking that the island was the bottle and he was going to destroy the island, that was dumb... I knew this, but I forgot. So, the evil is going to spread. XD I love MIB, coolest villain on this show.

  • @zakiemon i would say actually the only villain in the show because as far as i can tell the others are all just as confused as we are, we have ben who is just a follower( a high up follower but a follower the same), whitmore knows basically nothing, he makes it seem as if he knows alot but i dont think he does. Basically, they are all just going for their own little gains but really the MIB is the only one who actually seems to know what is happening and has evil deeds.

  • latestlost could you please upload scene of Black Rock coming to the island? My fave scene in the episode! One of the most epic in the show!

  • The man in black's face makes me laugh when he says, "well, then I'll kill them too!" And then raises his eyebrows, it was so childish!

    It made me chuckle anyways.

  • Me too and I nod in agreement everytime I watch it.

  • haha seriously

  • why did he smash the bottle of wine? he could have drank that!

  • Looks to me the MIB wants to "bust Hell wide open." I could be wrong.

  • "sooner than you think"

    it's been 200 years

    these guys are crazy =D

  • @Ishidasouken Actually 140 years

  • haha...I just got it...he BROKE the rules...

    light and dark...constant battle...in all of us...no matter what influences you...it's still a choice...that you live with...forever...

    my 6 Cents for today...hehe...peace out...OxO

    OxO

  • The island is the human mind.

  • this episode was the best this season aside from LAX IMO

  • The Substitute was the best.

  • I think this is my favorite scene in lost so far!

  • What a waste of wine, MIB...

    Loved this episode!

  • this episode explained so much but it still gave use that mystery feel to it that lost is so full of.

i can definitely see them explaining everything if the rest of the season is like this episode.

  • he is aaron. locke told them that his mom was crazy = claire.

  • Epic scene

  • I thought the man in black was holding a egg

  • I love how they hate each other so much but they still say good morning to each other lol

  • @HATCH4815162342 well the MIB is kinda forced too being Jacobs bitch and all lol

  • @HATCH4815162342

    dude thats really funny

  • @HATCH4815162342 that brings me to something i dont understand jacob doesnt fit in his name and there was allready a murder attempt we didnt see yet? If Jacob or his follewers will manage to hold that person at bay, why does he say it only ends ones? I got the feeling that dude still has a double agenda for the wrong reason, mib wishes was piece on the island untill the first ignorant humans where brought to the island

  • @HATCH4815162342 Hehehe yeah but I don't know if Jacob hates him, he feels responsible for what happened so he's not going to let Smokey free to cause more chaos

  • does anyone rekon we'll find out the name of the man in black?

  • Ofc

  • Probably in or near the finale... I don't see them not telling it to us.

  • of course we will

the name is probally someone we know or heard off they are just waiting until the end probally to build up the suspense

  • awesome scene! i can't wait 6X15 ''across the sea''

@johnnygannerss MIB: TITUS Welliver jacoob : Marc pelligrino

  • Well, according to Jacob he has many names; Satan, El Diablo, Hell, Darknes, etc.

  • EPIC SCENE!!!

  • Its hard to now what to make of that episode, we got a lot of information like what the island is and some flashbacks of richard and jacob, best episode so far

  • we don't know what the island is we just know what its for.

  • wats it for? corking darkness or somthin?

  • ya pretty much

  • i have a feeling that mib holding the white rock is giving us a sort of red herring that he is actually the good one

  • Go Team John Lock !!! I've been saying hes the good guy all season!!! :)

  • @appleguy1995 Jacob gave it to him

  • @appleguy1995 i agree

  • CORK

  • This scene explains everthing !!!

  • you mean 'lost' (:

  • ha yeah
