I have been telling contractors for several years, almost on a daily basis how this makes sense financially. But there's still so much resistance because most see geothermal as a relatively new and unproven technology, and they cannot see past the large up front cost. We need more people like Tom to spread the word.
Also... The solar power being generated is a natural fit with geothermal which strictly runs on electricity (albeit at a high efficiency of about 400%)
