the Israilites are outsiders because they are spirits that entered the Cannanites if it was the Cannanites. Spirit and truth. Not all the people in the bible are people it is a living spiritual book.
What's even crazier about this video is that in their trying to prove Yisra'el was of Canaan, they show a bunch of images of white people, and Canaan was clearly dark-skinned. So ridiculous! American & European history & archaeology is a pitiful, white-washed joke.
@torah613ful are you kidding? modern historians and archeologists know all about the races of such people, and aren't claiming otherwise. This video is just showing old (generally famous) paintings which were drown in the middle ages describing different things — they all know that those paintings aren't very accurate
People are even misled to believe ancient and indigenous Egyptians were white. That's one of the biggest archaeological hoaxes ever! Mitzrayim is the original name (not Egypt) of Ham's son, along with Cush (Ethiopia), Phut (Libya), and Canaan; the land inherited by Yisra'el (stolen & occupied by "Israelis", who are cross betw Edom & Japeth-- who aren't sons of Yisra'el). Also, the Palestinians (who are a mix of Canaanites & Ishmaelites). Even Nimrod/Babylonian was black (he was the son of Cush).
Yisraelites were not Canaanites. That's ridiculous. Canaan is the son of Ham. Yisra'el/Ya'achob, is a direct descendant of Yit'saq and Abriyam, who are of Shem. Although both brothers were dark-skinned, they represent two totally different lines of tribes & clans. It is common knowledge that Shemites lived among the Cannanite regions, ultimately fully possessing their land (read Gen/Exodus & Joshua). Hence, why the findings in the video have led them to believe they were Hamites!

@ProphetessWrites No, Canaanites are from the seed/descendants of Ham( The father of the dark races except the african americans or so called "negroes"). Israelites are from the seed Of Shem of Noah Sons. :)
LORD CURSED ISRAEL FOR REBELLING AGAINST GOD AND CAUSED THERE REMEMBERENCE TO CEASE FROM AMONG MEN SINCE ISRAEL DIDNT WANT TO KEEP GODS LAWS STATUES AND COMMANDMENTS. AND ISRAEL MADE AN AGREEMENT TO THE LORD THAT W THEY WILL DO EVERYTHING HE SAY. AND BLACK PEOPLE TILL THIS DAY STILL HAVE A CHOICE TO FOLLOW GOD.
The producers have done a magnificent job summarizing over a century of biblical archaeology and biblical scholarship in two hours. The film strikes a balance between the old-fashioned biblical archaeology approach, which tried to prove the Bible’s historicity, and the extreme skepticism of some minimalists, for whom the Bible contains little factual history.
They started as common citizens and gests, and Ramses the second forced them in to slavery. They worshiped one God only and Ramses the second forced them in to worshiping himself.. after that he started to kill Israelite younger male Children and newborns and take the females as slaves.. in short he tortured them and that is why they went back to Canaan … why not to search to validate these facts??
this video is nice but there are some missing links in it and in the search of history generally ... Israelite are from Canaan originally but they migrated to Egypt before the rolling of Ramses the second because of starvation ... they had years of starvation that they couldn't handle and went to Egypt seeking food and help.....
They say that archaeology shows that the Israelites were originally Canaanites (which the Bible says in Genesis) and try to make a big deal about it, acting like the Bible is trying to deceive us, when the Bible does no such thing. The reason the Bible paints them as being different is that they were very different, the Canaanites had many gods, practiced child sacrifice etc. and were condemned by God, where as the Israelites were under God's blessing and were told by God to inherit the land.
Judgement is coming to all the holders of the truth from the true people. So many lies to keep the true people from the past the lies is in the eye of the speaker who speaks with no conviction. The truth of israelites will come to the light of the world. The true people know the truth judgement is coming upon you devils who try to hide the truth. One thing you forget his people still have a connection with The creator of all things their is a universal connection that connects him to the chosen.
The Ebla and Mari tablets confirm names like Abram, Jacob, Leah, Laban and Ishmael and words related to Hebrew. Nuzi tablets describe legal procedures such as buying and paying for property (Abraham/Machpela) , acquiring concubines in case of sterility (Sara/Hagar), the adoption of a son by childless men (Laban/Jacob). This is circumstantial evidence. "Israel" on the Egyptian victory stele is clear. Mesopotamian tablets mention the Hapiru as well as the Egyptian papyrus. Ref Paul Johnson´s book.
You say they didn't have a patron god, and then you say their god "won them battles and kept them safe." Look up what a patron god is. "YHWH is a warrior" proves nothing. The cult of YHWH arose during a dark age. Every group had a patron God. EVERY GOD during dark ages have warlike attributes. Egyptian records report that each group of desert nomads had their own god. Shasu of YHW, Shasu of LBN, etc.
There is no archaeological evidence that YHWH was the war god of the canaanite pantheon.
@jamestrekky AMEN, this goes for almost all subjects we study. : ) Jesus taught us more about physics then anyone today could imagine, read The Gospel of Thomas, of the Nag Hammandi discovery, 114 quotes of Jesus, about transmutation, and so much more physics. : )
@truthseeker010101 I would suggest just reading the Bible itself. Almost everything we find in the old Testament is confirmed by History - egyptian, babylonian, persian, roman. Unfortunately, this documentary is biased and dishonest.
@jamestrekky Are you joking? Most of the old testament has been DISPROVED. Creation, the exodus, the conquest of canaan, David's mighty empire, even jewish monotheism itself. And there is no evidence that Solomon/Jedediah and HIS mighty empire existed, either.
@KayBeeEee1983 I hope this video is not your only source of history. majority of historians confirm that most of the old testament is historically reliable. you like to agree with the minority of main stream historians? Can you even name how any of them have been disproved? "might empire"? the gates at gezer, hazor, megiddo prove a mighty jewish empire across Israel at the time of Solomon. "monotheism"? the bible talks about people woshipping Ashera, it's not new news.
@jamestrekky "majority of historians confirm that most of the old testament is historically reliable"
That is totally false. The majority of archaeologists and biblical scholars agree that the OT is not historically reliable at all. I'm not going to look up names. Finkelstein/Silberman, off the top of my head. That's two. Those gates you speak of were not built in the time of Solomon, but during the time of Ahab, who was also credited with building the temple of Ba'al in Samaria. Coincidence?
@KayBeeEee1983 lol, Finkelstein is the historian you quote?? Most Israelite kings in the Bible have been confirmed. The battles, the cities and geography have been confirmed. Babylonian, Assyrian, Egyptian history all confirm what we find in the Bible. err, how is it dated to Ahab? Did Ahab live in 1000BC? No, Solomon did. The pottery at these 3 sites date to 10C B.C. So much so that all pottery now can be compared to that at Megiddo as a standard for 10C BC pottery. You're information is WRONG.
@jamestrekky So because the author of 1 & 2 Kings used a king's list and a map, that validates everything in the bible? What a joke
Even if those sites are dated to the 10th century, that's not proof they were built by Solomon. Gezer is on the coast, and Hazor and Megiddo were in the north. The coast and north were much more highly developed than the highlands of Judah.
If Solomon/Jedidiah was a great king, why is there NO EXTRA-BIBLICAL OR ARCHAEOLOGICAL PROOF WHATSOEVER of his existence?
@KayBeeEee1983 so you have no evidence of Ahab building those gates??
How do you know the author's used a King's list and a map?? Do you have any evidence for any of the things you say?? You want to assume evidence from the absence of evidence?? NOTHING you say is logical or historically sound in anyway. Ahab in 10th century? nice.
@jamestrekky Where's your evidence of David and Solomon's great kingdom? Where's your evidence of the Exodus? Where's your evidence that all the cities in the book of Joshua were destroyed by the same people at the same time?
How do I know the bible used a King's list? because it says so. 2 Kings 10:34 - "Everything else that Jehu did, including his brave deeds, is recorded in The History of the Kings of Israel"
@KayBeeEee1983 Err, you keep repeating the same things "david, solomon, exodus" get over it. There's hundreds of facts in the OT that are historically verified and you point to these few? Please don't be so ignorant. You have LOST with Ahab and now you want to lose with Joshua??? Heard of Jericho? Dated to the time of Joshua with pottery and everything that we find there coincides with what we find in the Bible. Read a bit more instead of just watching Finkelstein on youtube.
@jamestrekky There is no evidence for the patriarchs, exodus, conquest of Canaan, any of the judges, Saul, David, or Solomon. That invalidates Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, 1 & 2 Samuel, and the beginning of 1 Kings.
You didn't even know the bible repeatedly references The History of the Kings of Israel & Judah. You showed you lack basic knowledge of biblical history. You're a complete joke. You're a simple troll, and a VERY bad one.
@KayBeeEee1983 You were owned on Ahab and Joshua. Now you are trying to proof something from no evidence?? are you serious?? None of what you have said is invalid. Ok, you got owned on Ahab, Joshua, and now David. Don't you even know Tel Dan stele? That proves David was a king of Israel. You have provided no evidence, I have proved you wrong on Ahab, Joshua and David with evidence. You have nothing except speculation and things you have made up. Please go read.
@jamestrekky I wasn't owned on Joshua or Ahab, nutjob. There's no proof of Joshua's united conquest of Canaan. Re:Ahab, some people date the "gates" you speak of to the 10th century, some to the 9th. It was 3000 years ago. Even carbon dating has a 30+ year margin of error.
The Tel Dan stele doesn't prove David was a king of Israel! This shows your ignorance of biblical archaeology, in addition to biblical history. The stele proves that a king CLAIMED to be a descendent of someone named David.
@KayBeeEee1983 so you now you are saying we can't tell what period the gates were created?? but yet you said it was Ahab?? Can you please stop making things up.errr...it says the king was killed from the House of David. A King from the house of David???? All the evidence points to King David as a real person. You pick and choose what you want but at the end of the day, most main stream historian have verified what we know in the OT. You can contest all you like but you lose....AGAIN and AGAIN.
@jamestrekky Ahab built the temple of Ba'al in Samaria. I never said David wasn't real, troll. I said he wasn't the king of a mighty Israelite empire. "most main stream historian"? You have not provided a single name or a word of proof, troll. You use vague terms like "historian". The only reason I'm responding to your BS is because I have nothing better to do. Obviously you have nothing better to do either. I hope you're deliberately trying to look like a psycho, btw.
@KayBeeEee1983 I repeat again, you were OWNED about Ahab, Joshua and David. Are you seriously still talking?? You have no evidence for anything you have said. You ignore mainstream history. You just watch Finkelstein on youtube. You need to stop watching docos on BBC and History channel that features your favourite Finkelstein and read some books!
@KayBeeEee1983 THANK YOU. here is no evidence for the patriarchs, exodus, conquest of Canaan, any of the judges, Saul, David, or Solomon. That invalidates Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, 1 & 2 Samuel, and the beginning of 1 Kings.
The word for "God" in the Torah is "Elohim", which is plural. It also uses the name "El" which was the Canaanite king/sky god. The commandment is "have no other gods BEFORE ME".
I beleive that the human genome is a solftware program kind of like a computer program along with the computer memory. This program and memory is why the stories are all similar. This concept is like the natural instincts that all animals have.
@coldsniper321 becuase it's just human dogma and tradition, nothing can disprove God, The Source, Allah, Jehovah, Jah, YHWH, Yeh-Weh, It realy doesnt matter what you label God as, Thermodynamics rule 1, Energy never dies, it simply changes form, never dying, eternal life giving energy, God! I have proof of God in every subject you study, just name it, : )
@truthseeker010101 You can cut out the middle man and say the universe is eternal; much more evidence for the universe's existence than there is for God.
The jews are a new religion. There are many others that existed with very similar writings that predate any jewish writings. I believe that the flood is a common story around the world because floods happen everywhere around the world. The causes are numerous!
@Engineer245 Floods and virgin births and coming back from the dead and miracles are all old hat. They're present in many religious myths prior to the Abrahamic religions.
And in Genisis it say "Let us create them in our likeness." This must mean that there are or were several creaters of earthly life. Was one of them the leader and therefore "THE" God? Did this one have more power than the others? Also, if YHWH is the God of only one group of humans then the other humans must have been created by other Gods. Too many unanswered questions! At times I wish I had never read the intire Bible!!! Too much murdering in the name of God!!!
@Engineer245 i prefer the part of genesis when they say ,,i cant dance, i cant talk, only thing about me is the way that i walk ,,phil verse 2 chapter 2
@KayBeeEee1983 - I would never follow a murdering hatefull god, or a god who automatical says this group is my chossen group just because. Thats BS ! ! ! No, we may have been created by a bunch of aliens or other wouldly wizards but a omni potent force that has chossen to not come back and talk to anyone else in millenium? No that is insanity! Does your god only choose week minded people to talk too?
@KayBeeEee1983 Yahweh was Jewish version of Ares and Mars, their war god; worship of him became predominant in that society and eventually the only god they worshiped.
@kaga13 There is no evidence whatsoever that YHWH was a god of war. He was the patron god of the Israelites. He was their King. The king/chieftain was a nation's chief military leader. That's why he appears to be warlike. His name, regarding war, is "YHWH Sabaoth". It's the same phenomenon in Babylon. Marduk is the king of the Babylonians. His war personality was "Bel Marduk".
YHWH took the place of "El" in the Canaanite pantheon. El was the sky/king god. That's why God lives in heaven...
@KayBeeEee1983 Israelites were NOT originally monotheistic, it was only later in their history that they had a patron god, the war god won them battles and kept them safe. Even in the bible Yahweh is depicted and described as a warrior (Exodus 15:3); El Elyon was the father/sky god that Yahweh eventually came to be associated and eventually equalled to.
My personal opinion is that YHWH came from Yah, the egyptian moon god, and Yam, the canaanite sea god. Exodus 15:2 even states "My strength and song are YAH", not Yahweh. I believe the Hyksos expulsion was the basis of the "Exodus". In the Torah, Joshua's real name is Hoshea, but Moses adds the "Yah" to get "Yahoshea"(Joshua). If you add the "Yah" to Moses, you get "Yahmoses", which also just happens to be the name of the egyptian pharaoh who chased the hyksos OUT of egypt (Ahmose). Coincidence?
Abraham was born in Babylonia, then moved to Canaan where his descendants lived for 100 years. When a famine struck everywhere except Egypt, the Israelites moved to Egypt for 400 years. When the Pharaoh became oppressive, Moses hauled them BACK to Canaan. In the time they were gone, Canaan was overtaken, so Joshua booted them out.
Of course the Israelites had Canaanite origins. The Bible says it outright. (Reached limit; continued next comment.)
@Virtutus (Me again). The Biblical date for entrance into Canaan is between 1406 to 1220 BC. The documentary says the population exploded between 1200 and 1000 BC. They started in Canaan, went to Egypt, then came back to Canaan long before anything in this documentary took place. In other words, this documentary is telling what happened AFTER the Israelites came back to Canaan and settled. Of course they were Canaanites by then! Do they think we don't read for ourselves?
@Virtutus They're saying that the Israelites never left Canaan. They're saying that culturally and ethnically there was no difference between the Israelites and the Canaanites. They all worshiped El. The bible says that the Israelites and Canaanites were two distinct cultures.
@Virtutus Wasn't Canaan the land where Adams murderous son Cain was cast out to? If so, Abraham must be a decendant of Cain the murderous son and not the so called good son? Hum ! ! ! Too many unanswered questions ! ! !
@Engineer245 " No the issue is what is the land of canaan. So, many theologans believe that Abraham was from an area once part of canaan!"
What the hell are you talking about? There's no debate over what's canaan or even where Abraham came from. The bible clearly states that Abraham is from "Ur of the Chaldees". He moved to Haran and lived there for a while and then moved to Canaan.
Haha, I love how they go from saying, "a radical new theory..." to "archaeology reveals..." within a couple of minutes. As if there is a consensus among archaeologists about this "radical new theory." Get a dozen archaeologists in a room and see if you can form a consensus on anything.
@nostaticatall - - - Yeah,,, and put just as many religious leaders from any religion in a room and you will end with the same result. With religion it is not the journey that is important it is the END ! ! !
@Engineer245 I completely agree. People in general, whether from a religious or secular perspective, often seem far more interested in pushing their own agenda or winning a debate than learning or discovering something.
What is it with angry atheists? This is an archaeological documentary about the Bible, yet you still moan about it. Are you sure you're not just claiming to be an atheist to sound intelligent?
Fact / religion?.. Fact / Religion?.. Fact / religion?.. I'm gonna have to go with fact. When what is found does not match the incredible tales in the bible, the archeologist is at fault?
What god ? The god from the books ? The god that was past down verbally from generation to generation ? The god that we created to fill the void in our life's ?the god we created to explain the unexplainable . You the reason we keep reducing the number of our gods has something to do with our understanding of the world . and the the lack of necessity of having a cloud god a weather god a sea god etc etc You know this god is sought by 7 billion people for most of our modern history.
@inday811 And who has found this god elsewhere than in their mind? Who has found god in any physical way ? By all means he is suppose to have created the physical world thus resulting in at least her being partially physical . If god is a feeling then why do Buddhists and yogis who believe not in a god achieve the same sensation of fulfillment as religious folks who claim to have found god ? If god in deed than why would he show himself only to our ignorant ancestors ? and not to our modern us ?
@DonEnesco i don't want to have a further argument with you. as your mind is being preoccupied and blinded by all the theories that you have learned. I just wish that may God (the true God of Abraham and Moses) will give you a chance to see Him in the afterlife... so for you to believe Him fully.
@inday811 Well I am not looking for an argument . I would like to have a discussion with an open minded intellectual whom is a believer and see the reasoning behind his belief be it an experience or the outcome of a series of events . When you say the god of moses and abraham are you referring to the muslim God or the Judaic one ?
@inday811 Ok but you do know that Allah is also based on the same judaic God ? Mohamed says that the one true god is that of Moses and Abraham . And he names him Allah , only problem with that is that Allah was also a local Median god just as YAWH was also a local Canaanite god . Also since you are probably christian based on your previous comment , I was curious if you knew that Christianity isn'y reality a monotheistic religion ? You praise YAHW you praise the Holy Spirit and you praise gesu
@DonEnesco i don't know where did Muhammad have taken that name from. If he really do consider that its cryptic word is supposedly YHWH. regarding Christian worshiping Yahweh, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. I understand what you mean. On my point of view, and personal assessment, i do believe and worship of one God.. the giver of life. and it's the Father. But since, the Word and the Wisdom was with Him at that time of creation (written in john 1:1), and who suffers on the cross for our sins....
@inday811 Well again Allah was one of hundred gods whom was worshiped at Median . Muhhamed said that that is the one true god the god of moses and abraham . When it comes to your answer what I am trying to show you, are the same problems I encountered while growing up religiously . You cant take what part of the text is convenient to you as true and ignore the parts that contradict each other or make no sense just for the sake of being religious .
@inday811 And again I am not trying to bash your faith or argue with you . I just want to show you what the religious institute really is . Even if indeed you believe in an all mighty god then why do you need the religious politically mixed institute and relay on what they say ?, because in reality you can only relay on what they say since you can't actually speak with gesu , or Yhwh. This is my problem with religion , It should be renamed POLITICS
@DonEnesco and of which our Father God have given his righteous title... that whosoever believe on him should not perish., etc, etc. He is the King of Kings... and the Lord of Lords.. and so, if you are it's subject, are you not going to praise your king? The King, and our God the Father, together with the work of the Holy Spirit.. are considered to be as one. But above of all, it is our Father God whom i praised the Most. To whom i prayed... and ending my prayers in the name of Jesus.
@inday811 I can see where your coming from , But this to me seems a bit of you getting a bit of Judaism a bit of christianity mixing it together and then believing in what makes sense to you , which is a logical way to do it . Why don't you use the same logical process to try and see the flaws with man written scripture necessity of people being subjugated to a Higher command Such as the king of a land. Mixed in with fear of death etc etc , this leads to an excellent political tool , you see ?
@DonEnesco Being subjugated? well i am not being forced. I have read and heard what i have to. and continue on reading of what i should learn about. I'm basically Christian. and i am Very Proud of it.
If it is a dilemma to most of you atheist and agnost; well, that's none of my problem. You can always think whatever you want.. as i have my own mind too. And believe it or not, I have had an open mind of things long before.. but not anymore. Anyways, best of luck 2u as well &thanks.
@inday811 Also aside praising 3 different gods , most people pray to local saints long before they pray to one of the holy trinity in Rome for instance their was a statistic conducted which asked the people to whom they pray and Jesus came out 6th after 5 local saints and mary . Hindus have gotten this problem solve . they have a holy trinity and thousand millions of gods ( saints ) they say we have 1 god or 3 three gods or 330 million gods . Because they can pray to all of them .
@DonEnesco I am not really good at explaining things... especially on this matter, and on my position. I am not a Bible Scholar... i barely know and memorized good verses. but i do know and understand of which way to follow... based on my personal assessment with my faith. So, they are not three gods, ok? Let us say, they are 3 in one spirit. Brother Eli Soriano have once tackled this point already.. But i cannot elaborate it to you as how he did. I am just not good at remembering things. Sorry.
@inday811 I feel that we have reached the end of our conversation . I thank you for participating and let me offer you an analogy for future reference with the god son holy spirit dilemma . Ice turns to water , water turns to steam , But in essence it is the same substance water . Best of luck , and please try to keep an open mind about things in life :)
Specifically the word YHWH of which, it is nowhere to be found in any of the Canaanite texts?
Well, my answer is simple.
The Israelites have found their God through Abraham and passes it down to Moses., as well as the writing of the so-called Torah. And so, the writing and mentioning of that word YHWH came from MOSES own tongue, and not from Noah's.
and most probably, the Canaanites have no gifted writer, and or - that they have turned to other god.
'he who could not build a room for himself is now a possessor of walls', there are dozens of similar quotes from the Ipuwer Papyrus that refer to the Egyptian slaves who spoiled the Egyptians (See Exodus 20-22). Wall painting of brick making slaves were found in a Egyptian tomb. I would expect to find these unskilled slaves upon entering Canaan to adopt the simplist forms of local pottery, thus the evidence unearthed by archaeologist support the Biblical Exodus.
You can not say that what archaeologists are saying is the truth. They are building up history based on far ancient structures and findings. There is a scope for a lot of mistakes in the way these archaeologists build up the history.
Interesting how some scholars and documentaries deny the Biblical Exodus based upon a lack of Archaeological finds to support such a migration. How in the world would relics from a nomadic people survive over thousands of years? They lived in tents; they wouldn't have carried massive
amounts of pottery or stonework. They were equipped to travel, not settle down.
so your telling me that in the middle of the desert, where sand covers everything and anything dropped or left behind (a dagger, a necklace, or anything used to travel like a cane or something similar) would be buried in a sandstorm and remain for thousands of years, would never be found? use your common sense, man, we have found desert artifacts of nomadic peoples before in various areas in the middle east, take for example the magyar, who lived around the same age as the israelites of old
Look, you're not going to convince me and hundreds of legitimate scholars that the Exodus didn't happen any more than I'm going to convince you and hundreds of legitimate scholars that it did. As a Christian, there is one critical event that makes or breaks it all, that is the resurrection of Jesus. There is no archaeological or scientific evidence for the resurrection. Resurrection is impossible. But I'm convinced it happened for a thousand different reasons; Youtube doesn't allow enough cha..
the same way that other nomadic people leave behind relics and vestiges. i really don't care whether the israelites actually migrated or not, my main concern has to do with the supernatural claims made. Manna from heaven, burning bushes, split seas of water, fire in the sky, etc
so the poor lower/slaves classes, that over through the rich and all that they had? then left the cities for the hills? there was no sighs of war, not even revolt? even if you don't believe the bible is true, why would they go so far from true story? It just seems a stretch at best.
@badism That's why I think people should teach the HISTORY of religion in schools, not the magical stories like some in America want. Teaching the history takes away all the "awe" religion has.
Who cares if Isreals where cannonites, I am American and I desend from Afganastain and Budahn, And medeterrianian, and Africa. Does this mean I am not a white american?
So Israelites came from Canaanites? Christians and Israelites are not going to like this... Yes bible was a necessity for national Identity at the time. The God of the dessert
the Israilites are outsiders because they are spirits that entered the Cannanites if it was the Cannanites. Spirit and truth. Not all the people in the bible are people it is a living spiritual book.

@catecolamain "why not to search to validate these facts". How can you call them facts if they need to be validated. Poor choice of words.
And people have searched to validate these facts...nothing has been found or you would not need to search.

this video is nice but there are some missing links in it and in the search of history generally ...

@truthseeker010101 I would suggest just reading the Bible itself. Almost everything we find in the old Testament is confirmed by History - egyptian, babylonian, persian, roman. Unfortunately, this documentary is biased and dishonest.
jamestrekky 11 months ago
@jamestrekky Are you joking? Most of the old testament has been DISPROVED. Creation, the exodus, the conquest of canaan, David's mighty empire, even jewish monotheism itself. And there is no evidence that Solomon/Jedediah and HIS mighty empire existed, either.
KayBeeEee1983 11 months ago
@KayBeeEee1983 I hope this video is not your only source of history. majority of historians confirm that most of the old testament is historically reliable. you like to agree with the minority of main stream historians? Can you even name how any of them have been disproved? "might empire"? the gates at gezer, hazor, megiddo prove a mighty jewish empire across Israel at the time of Solomon. "monotheism"? the bible talks about people woshipping Ashera, it's not new news.
jamestrekky 11 months ago
@jamestrekky "majority of historians confirm that most of the old testament is historically reliable"
That is totally false. The majority of archaeologists and biblical scholars agree that the OT is not historically reliable at all. I'm not going to look up names. Finkelstein/Silberman, off the top of my head. That's two. Those gates you speak of were not built in the time of Solomon, but during the time of Ahab, who was also credited with building the temple of Ba'al in Samaria. Coincidence?
KayBeeEee1983 11 months ago
@KayBeeEee1983 lol, Finkelstein is the historian you quote?? Most Israelite kings in the Bible have been confirmed. The battles, the cities and geography have been confirmed. Babylonian, Assyrian, Egyptian history all confirm what we find in the Bible. err, how is it dated to Ahab? Did Ahab live in 1000BC? No, Solomon did. The pottery at these 3 sites date to 10C B.C. So much so that all pottery now can be compared to that at Megiddo as a standard for 10C BC pottery. You're information is WRONG.
jamestrekky 11 months ago
@jamestrekky So because the author of 1 & 2 Kings used a king's list and a map, that validates everything in the bible? What a joke
Even if those sites are dated to the 10th century, that's not proof they were built by Solomon. Gezer is on the coast, and Hazor and Megiddo were in the north. The coast and north were much more highly developed than the highlands of Judah.
If Solomon/Jedidiah was a great king, why is there NO EXTRA-BIBLICAL OR ARCHAEOLOGICAL PROOF WHATSOEVER of his existence?
KayBeeEee1983 11 months ago
@KayBeeEee1983 so you have no evidence of Ahab building those gates??
How do you know the author's used a King's list and a map?? Do you have any evidence for any of the things you say?? You want to assume evidence from the absence of evidence?? NOTHING you say is logical or historically sound in anyway. Ahab in 10th century? nice.
jamestrekky 11 months ago
@jamestrekky Where's your evidence of David and Solomon's great kingdom? Where's your evidence of the Exodus? Where's your evidence that all the cities in the book of Joshua were destroyed by the same people at the same time?
How do I know the bible used a King's list? because it says so. 2 Kings 10:34 - "Everything else that Jehu did, including his brave deeds, is recorded in The History of the Kings of Israel"
Have you even read the bible?
God, you're a douche. Please kill yourself.
KayBeeEee1983 11 months ago
@KayBeeEee1983 Err, you keep repeating the same things "david, solomon, exodus" get over it. There's hundreds of facts in the OT that are historically verified and you point to these few? Please don't be so ignorant. You have LOST with Ahab and now you want to lose with Joshua??? Heard of Jericho? Dated to the time of Joshua with pottery and everything that we find there coincides with what we find in the Bible. Read a bit more instead of just watching Finkelstein on youtube.
jamestrekky 11 months ago
@jamestrekky There is no evidence for the patriarchs, exodus, conquest of Canaan, any of the judges, Saul, David, or Solomon. That invalidates Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, 1 & 2 Samuel, and the beginning of 1 Kings.
You didn't even know the bible repeatedly references The History of the Kings of Israel & Judah. You showed you lack basic knowledge of biblical history. You're a complete joke. You're a simple troll, and a VERY bad one.
KayBeeEee1983 11 months ago
@KayBeeEee1983 You were owned on Ahab and Joshua. Now you are trying to proof something from no evidence?? are you serious?? None of what you have said is invalid. Ok, you got owned on Ahab, Joshua, and now David. Don't you even know Tel Dan stele? That proves David was a king of Israel. You have provided no evidence, I have proved you wrong on Ahab, Joshua and David with evidence. You have nothing except speculation and things you have made up. Please go read.
jamestrekky 11 months ago
@jamestrekky I wasn't owned on Joshua or Ahab, nutjob. There's no proof of Joshua's united conquest of Canaan. Re:Ahab, some people date the "gates" you speak of to the 10th century, some to the 9th. It was 3000 years ago. Even carbon dating has a 30+ year margin of error.
The Tel Dan stele doesn't prove David was a king of Israel! This shows your ignorance of biblical archaeology, in addition to biblical history. The stele proves that a king CLAIMED to be a descendent of someone named David.
KayBeeEee1983 11 months ago
@KayBeeEee1983 so you now you are saying we can't tell what period the gates were created?? but yet you said it was Ahab?? Can you please stop making things up.errr...it says the king was killed from the House of David. A King from the house of David???? All the evidence points to King David as a real person. You pick and choose what you want but at the end of the day, most main stream historian have verified what we know in the OT. You can contest all you like but you lose....AGAIN and AGAIN.
jamestrekky 11 months ago
@jamestrekky Ahab built the temple of Ba'al in Samaria. I never said David wasn't real, troll. I said he wasn't the king of a mighty Israelite empire. "most main stream historian"? You have not provided a single name or a word of proof, troll. You use vague terms like "historian". The only reason I'm responding to your BS is because I have nothing better to do. Obviously you have nothing better to do either. I hope you're deliberately trying to look like a psycho, btw.

@KayBeeEee1983 Yahweh was Jewish version of Ares and Mars, their war god; worship of him became predominant in that society and eventually the only god they worshiped.
kaga13 11 months ago
@kaga13 There is no evidence whatsoever that YHWH was a god of war. He was the patron god of the Israelites. He was their King. The king/chieftain was a nation's chief military leader. That's why he appears to be warlike. His name, regarding war, is "YHWH Sabaoth". It's the same phenomenon in Babylon. Marduk is the king of the Babylonians. His war personality was "Bel Marduk".
YHWH took the place of "El" in the Canaanite pantheon. El was the sky/king god. That's why God lives in heaven...
KayBeeEee1983 11 months ago
@KayBeeEee1983 Israelites were NOT originally monotheistic, it was only later in their history that they had a patron god, the war god won them battles and kept them safe. Even in the bible Yahweh is depicted and described as a warrior (Exodus 15:3); El Elyon was the father/sky god that Yahweh eventually came to be associated and eventually equalled to.
kaga13 11 months ago
KayBeeEee1983 11 months ago
Abraham was born in Babylonia, then moved to Canaan where his descendants lived for 100 years. When a famine struck everywhere except Egypt, the Israelites moved to Egypt for 400 years. When the Pharaoh became oppressive, Moses hauled them BACK to Canaan. In the time they were gone, Canaan was overtaken, so Joshua booted them out.
Of course the Israelites had Canaanite origins. The Bible says it outright. (Reached limit; continued next comment.)
Virtutus 1 year ago
@Virtutus (Me again). The Biblical date for entrance into Canaan is between 1406 to 1220 BC. The documentary says the population exploded between 1200 and 1000 BC. They started in Canaan, went to Egypt, then came back to Canaan long before anything in this documentary took place. In other words, this documentary is telling what happened AFTER the Israelites came back to Canaan and settled. Of course they were Canaanites by then! Do they think we don't read for ourselves?
Virtutus 1 year ago
@Virtutus They're saying that the Israelites never left Canaan. They're saying that culturally and ethnically there was no difference between the Israelites and the Canaanites. They all worshiped El. The bible says that the Israelites and Canaanites were two distinct cultures.

Who are we to question GOD?
inday811 1 year ago
@inday811
DonEnesco 1 year ago
@inday811 And who has found this god elsewhere than in their mind? Who has found god in any physical way ? By all means he is suppose to have created the physical world thus resulting in at least her being partially physical . If god is a feeling then why do Buddhists and yogis who believe not in a god achieve the same sensation of fulfillment as religious folks who claim to have found god ? If god in deed than why would he show himself only to our ignorant ancestors ? and not to our modern us ?
DonEnesco 1 year ago
@DonEnesco i don't want to have a further argument with you. as your mind is being preoccupied and blinded by all the theories that you have learned. I just wish that may God (the true God of Abraham and Moses) will give you a chance to see Him in the afterlife... so for you to believe Him fully.
inday811 1 year ago
@inday811 Well I am not looking for an argument . I would like to have a discussion with an open minded intellectual whom is a believer and see the reasoning behind his belief be it an experience or the outcome of a series of events . When you say the god of moses and abraham are you referring to the muslim God or the Judaic one ?
DonEnesco 1 year ago
@DonEnesco Nice to hear that. I am open with that too. anyway, it's the Judaic one. That's where Jesus is basing his faith from.
inday811 1 year ago
@inday811 Ok but you do know that Allah is also based on the same judaic God ? Mohamed says that the one true god is that of Moses and Abraham . And he names him Allah , only problem with that is that Allah was also a local Median god just as YAWH was also a local Canaanite god . Also since you are probably christian based on your previous comment , I was curious if you knew that Christianity isn'y reality a monotheistic religion ? You praise YAHW you praise the Holy Spirit and you praise gesu
DonEnesco 1 year ago
@DonEnesco i don't know where did Muhammad have taken that name from. If he really do consider that its cryptic word is supposedly YHWH. regarding Christian worshiping Yahweh, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. I understand what you mean. On my point of view, and personal assessment, i do believe and worship of one God.. the giver of life. and it's the Father. But since, the Word and the Wisdom was with Him at that time of creation (written in john 1:1), and who suffers on the cross for our sins....
inday811 1 year ago
@inday811 Well again Allah was one of hundred gods whom was worshiped at Median . Muhhamed said that that is the one true god the god of moses and abraham . When it comes to your answer what I am trying to show you, are the same problems I encountered while growing up religiously . You cant take what part of the text is convenient to you as true and ignore the parts that contradict each other or make no sense just for the sake of being religious .
DonEnesco 1 year ago
@inday811 And again I am not trying to bash your faith or argue with you . I just want to show you what the religious institute really is . Even if indeed you believe in an all mighty god then why do you need the religious politically mixed institute and relay on what they say ?, because in reality you can only relay on what they say since you can't actually speak with gesu , or Yhwh. This is my problem with religion , It should be renamed POLITICS
DonEnesco 1 year ago
@DonEnesco and of which our Father God have given his righteous title... that whosoever believe on him should not perish., etc, etc. He is the King of Kings... and the Lord of Lords.. and so, if you are it's subject, are you not going to praise your king? The King, and our God the Father, together with the work of the Holy Spirit.. are considered to be as one. But above of all, it is our Father God whom i praised the Most. To whom i prayed... and ending my prayers in the name of Jesus.
inday811 1 year ago
@inday811 I can see where your coming from , But this to me seems a bit of you getting a bit of Judaism a bit of christianity mixing it together and then believing in what makes sense to you , which is a logical way to do it . Why don't you use the same logical process to try and see the flaws with man written scripture necessity of people being subjugated to a Higher command Such as the king of a land. Mixed in with fear of death etc etc , this leads to an excellent political tool , you see ?
DonEnesco 1 year ago
@DonEnesco Being subjugated? well i am not being forced. I have read and heard what i have to. and continue on reading of what i should learn about. I'm basically Christian. and i am Very Proud of it.

Where do the Israelites find their God?

Making excuses for a lack of evidence does not make it more evident.

the same way that other nomadic people leave behind relics and vestiges. i really don't care whether the israelites actually migrated or not, my main concern has to do with the supernatural claims made.

The truth is so much more fascinating then the bible.

@badism That's why I think people should teach the HISTORY of religion in schools, not the magical stories like some in America want. Teaching the history takes away all the "awe" religion has.

@badism this video is not in anyway shape or form truth, it is pure secular speculation. : )
