1) Fat bitch in beige watched it all, beginning to end for an hour, and did NOTHING! She is the most at fault.

2) Security guard noticed her later, on floor, then scooted away. 2nd most at fault.

3) Paranoid schizophrenia = afraid to seek help/just sat there for 24 hrs. She shouldn't have been unsupervised that long if she was an inpatient (wearing gown). Inattentive staff are 3rd most at fault

On the other hand. . . if she had been safely in her bed, in a room, she still would have died.

I'm a fresh graduate of a medical lab technician/assistant program and with all the stuff I dealt with during my placement in the hospital, I can honestly say that I would NEVER have the heart to leave a patient, even if it takes a little extra time. Even as a patient in the hospital, I would have run for someone right away.

Good practice says to make sure a patient has stopped bleeding before you let them walk away from having blood drawn, and I always do...even though some don't.

I work at a hospital and I can tell you that this can easily happen to anyone...People who work in hospitals are assholes...there are some who really like their job there are some who come to work and only think about how much of it they can get away with not doing. Nurses and doctors go missing all the time where I work, they leave and you have to overhead page them to find them sometimes. Such bullshit the kind of people we have supposidly CARING for our loved ones.

@autigerssuck This nearly happened at work today. Someone came in who could not breath and no one knew what to do. People panicked and tried to hide so they won't have to help. Even a security guard ignored this woman who was in danger...The only one who helped was a transporter who called a code blue. The dumb lady at the front desk gave the people directions to the ER...These people don't have time to follow directions...they needed immediate help...All she had to do was press 5 buttons.

There is so much confusion in that hospital. Poor communication, everyone is always telling you something different. Nurses don't know they have certain patience. Its like high school. Everyone is worried about their image and other drama than their actual job. Couple that with racism and carelessness.

I saw the full version of this on "Caught on Camera". Apparently the staff knew about her being face down on the floor. In fact, there were a total of I believe 4 different workers there that looked (even stared for a minute) at her and then just left her there. Every single worked did nothing as she layed there for THAT long. What is wrong with the world.

DAMN. I am in my 20s and I had a blood clot that travelled to my lung - pulmonary embolism. I was brought in right away and dx right away....timing is crtical..you dont mess around with blood clots! i nearly died. this poor woman!
