Yeah, a lot of these videos do pick and choose scientific studies to fit their description of why their product works, that's for sure. However, conventional medicine has created/perpetuated as many (if not more, by a wide margin) diseases as it has cured. There are several non-scientific ideas that legitimately help people, though these ideas may one day be scientific.
@TheEnlightenedTruth One of the things i agree with is "religiously attached to 'actual science'..." It's hard to express a multitude of wisdom at once. At the time I wrote this my goal was a youtube comment on how information looks to be misdirecting people. A crude warning of sorts. Anything that does not have a depth of complexty, simply does not describe what is real. It still may reflect a truth, but I do not feel this reflects or describes anything other then careful imagination.
I get a kick reading the comments from people who had a hard time in school and the rest of the stress in their lives come out in being advocates to this pseudoscience. Its a pretty "easy" (not boring) read and for the most part I recommend ignoring the math and focusing on the verbiage.

Yeah, a lot of these videos do pick and choose scientific studies to fit their description of why their product works, that's for sure. However, conventional medicine has created/perpetuated as many (if not more, by a wide margin) diseases as it has cured. There are several non-scientific ideas that legitimately help people, though these ideas may one day be scientific.

At the time I wrote this my goal was a youtube comment on how information looks to be misdirecting people. A crude warning of sorts. Anything that does not have a depth of complexty, simply does not describe what is real. It still may reflect a truth, but I do not feel this reflects or describes anything other then careful imagination.

I get a kick reading the comments from people who had a hard time in school and the rest of the stress in their lives come out in being advocates to this pseudoscience. Here is a book a lot of actual scientist enjoy. Physical Chemistry: A Molecular Approach by Donald A. McQuarrie and John D. Simon. Its a pretty "easy" (not boring) read and for the most part I recommend ignoring the math and focusing on the verbiage.

Many people will mistake this for something that makes false claims or has been dis-proven by science (which can be the case but, isn't necessarily) when it just means that by definition it isn't scientific in it's nature. I wouldn't call meditation scientific, but the degree to which it promotes good health cannot be overstated, or even accurately conveyed, though it's partially understood, for stress relief.
