Didnt heed the warning and didnt have enough ballast to beat the wind and tide. Idiot captain. Ultimately, and luckily, towed of the sandbank a couple of weeks after after the crew was winched ashore via helicopter rescue. 30 or so other coal ships were smart enough to head offshore in time.

They got some "newcastle TowBoats" or what ever they call em...and they took it out to the sea but apprantly if they made one bad move it would of been damaged and just would of stayed on the beach FOREVER so yeah they finally got it out and it got all fixed up at Newcastle Shipwrecks...i think thats what its called
