Shut the fuck up. Manny was a legend. Regardless of how he left here, what he did when he was here, i.e. helping to bring us 2 world series', was amazing. I'll never forget his game 2 walk off against the Angels in 2007. That shit was epic.

If he's forever an Indian why did he leave and why hasn't he gone back yet? Reaching a World Series isn't winning one, which proves you need more than Manny to win. Even if he retires as an Indian his greatest success was with the Sox, 2 World Series Championships, Series MVP in 04. And that's what he'll be remembered for in the Hall, as an Indian or not. I can see it now "Manny Ramirez came in as an Indian and left as one, BUT his greateast success came as a member of the Red Sox."

yes he lost 2 in cleveland and won 2 in boston but the reason for that was his supporting cast in boston. Namely pitching which is the reason we lost both series. You see the reason for that is Boston like newy ork BUYS championships, They troll around raping the smaller market teams of the talent that they build from scratch once their great. Just a few examples from cleveland.. Manny, Albert belle, jim thome, c.c. sabbathia, bartolo colon. But mannys stats were identical with both clubs.

I agree that with you that you need a great supporting cast to help win. But I disagree that we buy our championships. That's just ridiculous only the Yankees are guilty of that. Haha we buy our championships? Please, that's why it took us 86 years to win another World Series and New York won 26 in that time period. I wonder if you'll accuse the Cubs of that when they win. Yes his stats were almost identical, BUT he won more Silver Sluggers, an MVP, and 2 World Championships in Boston.

Even though I am a Red Sox fan and an Indians fan I can't agree with you on anything you said. Id like to know where you get this idea that we feel like we deserve titles? We have a roster full of home grown talent. The years we won the series was a period of building up our roster, most of the guys on our team were there when we won. When you buy a championship you are expected to win that year. Marlins vs. Indians Series that was a bought championship and the team disbanded the next year.

The Yankees spend millions upon millions each year to WIN and they don't. If we were so locked up in the Yankee way of thinking we'd have spent as much as them. This year the Yanks spent 440 million for their roster 1.6 billion on their stadium and what did we spend on rodter upgrades, $12 million and we have a better record. Cleveland as well has upgraded their talent from teams around the league, DeRosa, Wood. Pavano. So don't sit there and accuse us of buying our talent when EVERYONE does it

There are plenty of teams out there that are above or close to that $125 million right now. Will you say the same about the Mets if they win? How about the White Sox? Or the Tigers? Or the Angels? Boston fans are known for their love of their major sports teams. The Bruins of the 70's, the Celtics of the 80's, the Patriots and Sox of this decade. Sports writers have labeled Boston "Titletown" because of those era's. Schilling even said Boston fans have a love of their teams unlike any other city in major sports and thats why players want to come here, same as New York. We are expected to win because of those era's. It's jealous fans like you that believe we have a sense of entitlement.

I don't dismiss what Manny did with the Indians, I became a fan of his while he was in Cleveland. He played great for both of us. You were in my eyes casting aside the great years he gave to us as well. But like in Cleveland he was lured away by Scott Boras for money when he became Mannys agent. It's the greedy players that care about money more than the fans. Thats what ruins sports because it's all about the MONEY. Can't blame the fans for the player's greed. Blame the player.

Hopefully Lebron will know better than to play for New York and stay where is actually loved by fans. The one player i respect is Tedy Bruschi because he genuinely loves playing here, he's taken pay cuts to stay and retire as a Patriot, doesn't have an agent so he can negotiate his own contracts and not deal with the undermining that agents do. Thats why i like the Patiots the most of all our sports teams because their philosophy is if you want to play here you'll do what it takes to stay, if you want the money don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, i.e. Asante Samuel, Willie McGinest, Adam Vinatieri. Bledsoe was forced out and what was great about him is he wrote a letter to the fans in the paper thanking them for the great years we gave him and that he gave to us. Players like that are few and far between.
