  • Children of the corn music?

  • Just finished reading the book totally have to remake the movie.

this movie is not that close book is wayyyy better

  • Reading the book. Gonna move onto the second chapter but what's the difference?

  • I hated the movie. I really truly hated it. The book was SOOO much better than the movie.

  • The ending of this movie really pisses me off >.> Like for real! It wasnt such a horrible movie...but it could've been better AND the ending could've worked out like the book!

  • Just got finished readin the book saw the movie simular but not enough

  • saw the movie have the book saw the new version of the book so i think they sould remake the movie..

  • Just love how people use religion to punish the "sinners"! NOT!! Hate the hypocritical grandma!!

  • we get it, its called Flowers in the attic!!

  • They seriously should remake this movie. It's so good and eye-catching. I seen it when I was about 6 or 7. Now, I'm 19 years old. Shit is crazy.

  • This movie is now streaming on netflix....

  • "hell is for children"

  • I love reading V.C Andrew books I don't like reading the ghost V.C Andrew books most of them are shit

  • Vanessa Carlton brought me here =]

  • @whitehousesvc729 me too

  • HATE THE MOVIE!!!! Stupid story!

  • @1717samar did u read the book first? the movie is nothng like the book. the book is great!!

  • i saw this movie few years ago and I liked it! Drama and suspense movie great

  • This similar to "The Virgin Suicides"

  • @NewYorkS4U how the fuck is this anywhere near similar to the virgin suicides 0_o (besides that they are both movies)

  • @bob35430 Well both parents/guardians are incredibly religious and they refuse to have their kids to have any physical contact with the world.

  • @NewYorkS4U Oh yeah you are right but at first i was like wutt ? :p

  • Good movie but does that nasty grandmother know its a SIN to wear so much make up and look at her fingernails...She must be related to Freddy Kruger..And its a SIN that she is going to put the people out of a job at Cover Girl for wearing so much make up....:)Ole cunny biaaattttchhhhhh

  • i'm almost finished reading seeds of yesterday and i want so see the movie so bad but can't find anywhere to get it at. But in the trailer it looks like it'll be alot different from the books, so should I even watch it?

  • @XxDaiseyDukesxX it doesnt give the book justice but they are remaking it from what i hear so maybe it will be better but i watched this movie when i was fourteen after reading the book and it was a real disappointment so i would hold off on it

  • @hisweregirl90 are they really daisey?? i hope you're right..ya i saw that movie back in 1987 when it came out the first time..they should make a minis series of the whole series of books...it would be GREAT!...I dont think the movie did the book any justice either...there should of been so much more to it...they did a lousy job...hopefully the second time around, it will be really much better..

  • I just bought the whole series of books and i'm starting to read the continuations of flowers in theattic again...i had all 3 of these books like 20 some odd yrs ago but misplaced them..I just started reading petals in the wind this week again..CANNOT put it down!

  • this is a cheesin trailer

  • i witched this movie wen i was 7

  • God was this movie begging for the "Alan Smithee" pseudonym. Pretty much everyone involved in the production hated the version that was released to theaters in 1987.

  • It doesnt look very good compared to the books.

  • Yes indeed book was better. Way better. I heard Andrew Neiderman wrote the screenplay for a remake but Hollywood hasn't done anything yet. I hope they do and keep book closer to the book. I did hear that Hollywood was very hesitant to use the book too much because they were uncomfortable with the incest angle. Wes Craven's screenplay was said to be brutal with the incest so it was never used. Well this movie was unfair to the classic book. A.M Torres author of Love Child.

  • That's true. Children don't ask to be born. My story Love Child deals with an unwanted child as well and sadly children are made to pay when they don't ask to be born. A.M Torres author of Love Child.

  • I counted. They say flowers in the attic exactly 4 times in a 1 minute and 34 second commercial trailer....I can't take the trailer seriously now

  • It doesn't matter how a child is born - whether it's by incest or rape or whatever. Don't get me wrong any crime commited must be punnished. But anyone born as a result is not the childs fault! Nobody can control who there parrents are! There is no spawn of the devil - at least that's what I think.

  • i'm currently reading Flowers in the Attic because my mom read the series when she was a teen and she said they were great books. now, i'm only half way through the first one, but this looks nothing like the book. like wtf?

  • this movie looks dumb as sin

  • The book is better!! :)

  • The book was way better!

  • This is a beautiful book and story, but they should really remake this movie, I don't even have the courage to see this movie now I saw the trailer. --'

  • @KekkiiMaruu It's not so terrible...the ending will piss you off tho

  • @KekkiiMaruu

actually, surprisingly, the movie isnt as scary as the trailer...XD

  • this is such a awesome book !!!

  • children of the corn theme song with the children singing

  • The film wasn't that great (especially the acting) but I thought the visuals were quite gothic and the soundtrack is amazing! Christopher Young is a very good composer.

  • I WANNA REMAKE!!!!!!

  • This is a VERY good trailer, it was what I consider almost completely false advertising but I love it. They make it sound like a regular horror movie, like a haunted house or something like that, not at all what we actually get in the movie, but it sparks interest and makes the movie alluring to see.

  • @Cropsy25 Yes, I've read the book and it is way better than the movie. There is a bunch of stuff left out. I would recomend that you read the book. It's not very hard to get into it. It's actually one of my favorites of all time.

  • @KathleenNo3Katie thanks i'll check it out

  • hey dont waste your time on this garbage. it leaves out everything from the book and got everything wrong.. the book is fantastic..

  • ive never read the book but i always liked the movie but i hear a lot of people say how the book was much better than the movie im just wondering what was lacking from the movie that the book had?

  • Remake the Movie , now please ,i,ve started reading the book again ,brilliant ,,.

  • We rented this movie. it was HORRIBLE and really unrealistic

  • if only they would remake the film exactly just how it was written...and all of the series it would be a dream come true...

  • @MsBuffy94

This movie sucked compared to the book. V.C. Andrews would have been so dissapointed.

  • @Tyjo92 I know, I remember reading This Series in the 1980's. Hey did you ever see the VC Andrews Webpage where they have the Covers from Foreign Countries. The French Version that had Cory & Carrie actually was from Life Magazine where A Computer Programmer, His Radcliffe Wife, and Four Children gave up The Good Life to live in a Tent.

  • @laminage

Yeah I did! I did not know that!

I just so want them to remake this movie! I just have no idea who could play what!

  • this movie is terrible anyone watching this that is going to see the movie plz dont plz plz plz read the books instead the books are much better :)

  • this movie was freaky, especially with the 80s music.

  • EAT THE COOKIE!!! @_@

  • I read that a remake has been agreed to since 2008. I don't know what they are waiting for but they did say Andrew Neiderman wrote the screenplay and that MGM was making the remake. If true I wish they hurry up and keep it closer to the book.

  • This movie didn't do the book justice. They need to remake it and make it closer to the book.

  • the narrator makes the movie about 100 times creepier! XD

  • wow someone please re-make this movie! I CALL BEING CATHY! hahah

  • The book was the most incredible thing ever I mean you guys should read the book instead of watch this movie cuz the book was awesome!!!!

  • @16momina I know what you mean.. I first heard about this book in 1981 when I was 15. My girlfriend told me about the Book and I thought she was crazy. I then read PITW and I remembered crying when I saw how Carrie was Bullied at School. ITBT was okay and so was SOY but when I finally discovered the "Truth" in GOS, I almost screamed and I was on the Bus. I don' t condone for what The Grandmother did, but after seeing what she went through, I can understand why she was the way she was.

  • @laminage

I absolutely hated feeling sorry for the Grandmother, but you do understand how she was the way she was.

  • @laminage can you tell me the name of the book ur talking about with the grandmother, GOS?

  • Seriously, the book is way better than the movie. IF YOU'RE READING THIS, YOU REALLY SHOULD READ THE BOOK!! IT'S SUPER GOOD, THE STORY IS BEAUTIFUL, AND YOU'LL LOVE IT!

  • @MrNumbnuts123 I'm halfway through the book and I cannot believe how different the movie is from the book. The book is really good so far, I cannot put it down. I'm on the "Holiday" chapter, and I do agree that the book is worth it!

  • @Vettoid I am rereading it too! I just finished the Our Stepfather chapter. I so wish they would remake the movie because if they followed the book it would be a masterpiece... and then they could make Petals on the Wind, which is my favorite book in the series. (but also the saddest)

  • @Vauthier Oh wow, I'll have to buy Petals on the Wind then! I'm currently reading the chapter "The Long Winter, and Spring, and Summer" and I am loving this book so far. It's really heartbreaking because I would hate to be in their situation. Thanks for the reply, I will get the next book and read it once I'm finished.

  • @Vettoid do that because I really enjoyed Petals on the Wind. Out of the whole series, I'd say that one is my favorite, though it is just as heartbreaking as FITA. (maybe more so, depending on your opinion) Fantastic books. If you enjoy them, be sure to read the Heaven series as well. The last two were written after she died, but the first three are amazing! Heaven, Dark Angel, and Fallen Hearts are the names. Though you will probably want to finish the Flowers in the Attic series first.

  • was this any good ??? :O

  • I watched this movie when I was a kid and it messed me up.

  • I love this movie...Saw it as a kid and didn't read the novel about 10 later....But great movie...Not too close to the book. Some good actors..Kristy Swanson(who is the original Buffy) and Louise Fletcher is great...Creepy but good..I think what give's this move it's appeal is the music in the film and the actors who are adorable..A re-make of this today would be good but then they'd have to do more because the mother does not die in the book...like in the movie...

  • Classic Movie!!! Love it!

  • wt da hell man. whu mde this movie.

it sucks an i giv it a -343556474747%

  • The book was whole lot better than the movie. The movie just didn't have the same magic the book had.

  • @Mizvictor07 All I am saying is, technology has advanced so much since then, they could but some amazing things in a remake.

  • @2277crazyman1 they were going to but the sequel script made no sense since they messed this movie up so badly

  • How many times does the movie title need to be mentioned!!!

  • I must say, the book is much better movie. There are many things that do not match in the book or not to be found in the book, and the book really a very good story

  • so this is ture ? where they r now

  • Never did see this movie, my mother taped Audrey Rose, another horror story and I always remembered seeing the end of this movie when it was taped..when the children walk away from the house.

  • The only good thing about the film is the brilliant acting. If VC accepted Wes Craven's script rather than the other director, I would think it would be a more interesting movie. But even if the Jeffrey Bloom's script was chosen, the producers still took a\out all the best stuff in the story, making it a huge fail to an AWESOME novel.

  • louise fletcher was FLAWLESS in this movie

  • ok.....i thought cathy was supposed to b drop dead goergeus, and chris was supposed to be really hot???? what happened, they should make a new one!!!!

  • I just finished reading this book 5 minutes ago....and I'm completely shaken. I think it'll be a long time before I watch the movie...

  • I've read the book and also watched the movie. The book is way better than the movie by far.

  • they make the book version seem good in every body hates chris

  • finished the book! AMAZING! i will be watching the movie, but like CAN THEY RE MAKE THIS MOVIE! ill play cathy!

  • The twins. Here's a queastion. My mom is a big fan of VC andrews she said she wrote some twisted stuff, i asked Oh how? she mentioned something about the Twins having sex or whatnot.

  • @ShadesXPants the older brother and sister take on the role of parents to the twins and become sexually attracted to each other. then the older sister kisses her stepdad, and the older brother over heard it. so the brother raped her. yet they both loved each other.

  • @ShadesXPants The twins are five years old at the beginning of the book, it's the older teenage brother and sister who have sex >_< It's never really explained why though...

  • @Disenchanted310 errr...its pretty obvious. it was clearly sexual frustration on both parts due to the fact that cathy and chris were locked in an attic during years when critical adolescent growth takes place. because they were couldnt be exposed to anyone else close to their age and the fact they were so close and locked away together, it happened. it didnt really need to be explained...

  • @strawberryshowers42 It might seem obvious to you, I never found the whole incest thing believable. In extreme cases it may happen, but I don't think being locked in the same room for three years while you go through puberty means that you'd justifiably want to sleep with your little sister.

  • I'm reading the book now, truely thrilling!

  • I hope they'll remake this please :)

  • I've read the book. Very amazing and touching. Swear you'll cry in the end :)

  • i wanna read the book!!!

  • @missgermanshepard oh my god! the book is really fckng goooood!!

you won´t dissapoint of it, i swear

  • oh the old book v film argument never fails.....people always say books are better than the films to look more intelligent....

  • The book is way better

  • @wolfmother8719 I just read the book this movie looks horrible hahaha

  • How many fucking times is he gonna say flowers in the attic?? D;

  • @ladycynaptic y u say that ??

  • Here is an idea Hollywood. Stop remaking classic movies like Footloose, and Nightmare on Elm Street, and start remaking the movies that need it. Like Rosemary's Baby or freakin Flowers in the Attic. Do you even know how much money would be made if you made the book series into movies and actually followed the book!? Duh?

  • @Tyjo92 : i so agree....this needs a remake! I think with the right director, it can be done really well.

  • @Tyjo92 : they're planning a remake, its just waiting to be green-lit according to wikipedia.

  • @Tyjo92 Speak it, remake something that needs some improvement! Though this movie is a cheesy delight.

  • @hootied Yes it is. I liked the movie, until I read the book. I was all woah. They based this movie off of this book I hold in my hands. I dont believe it. V.C. Andrews would have been so upset if she saw what they did to this movie.

  • @Tyjo92 you made my day :O i´m just in your opinion :D you are so right!!! this movie really need a remake...but of the whole entire books... thzey are so great and they never thought about to make...thats bad :O we should make it, hum? :D

  • @LittyJilla

Lets do it! Lets remake this movie the RIGHT way! =D

  • @Tyjo92 so when we gonna meet for brainstorming? :D im from germany :D so i think we should meet right in the middle... :D this must be done!!!

  • @LittyJilla

I completely agree! I like the way we think!

  • @Tyjo92 How can you say Rosemary's Baby needs a remake?

  • @mariosjpaulo

Because. Think of the special effects that can be used now. Not to mention the acting in that movie is horrendous.

  • @Tyjo92 What special effects do you want to introduce into Rosemary´s Baby???

You have the right to your opinion but the majority of us don´t think that the acting is horrendous. The movie Rosemary´s Baby is a freaking classic.

  • @mariosjpaulo Obviously I am not the only one who feels that way.

  • @Tyjo92 I´m talking Rosemary´s Baby and not Flowers In The Attic... Even if you consider a remake on Rosemary´s Baby, I didn´t read any remarks on this page regarding a remake on Rosemary´s Baby, only on Flowers In The Attic. Even if you think a remake is in order for Rosemary´s Baby, it´s obvious that you are never alone on your opinion because there´s always someone out there that shares ones opinion... and you have the right to yours.

  • @Tyjo92 OMG SO TRUEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I am absolutely in love with the books. I watch the movie and almost hung myself it was so bad.

  • The trailer lied. The TRUE Flowers in the Attic has yet to come to the screen.

  • @phoenixrage1 Its a verrrry old movie. it has been made just a longgg time ago. the book is very old itself.

  • @megamadmadi I know that. I was saying this movie is a terrible adaptation of the book.

  • @phoenixrage1 Oops :/ sorry, my misconception

  • @phoenixrage1 why's that, is the book different from the film? (cause I aint read it, but flowers in the attic is my favourite horror/thriller)

  • @Mephistophelis85 OH YES. The book is a BILLION times better than the movie. The creators of this "movie" left out so much. I can't even tell you what, because it was so much. Seriously, Flowers in the Attic book is one of those books, that you can have an idea about what will happen on the next page, but what happens is SO different than what you were expecting, you are literally blown away. Read the book, it is amazing.

  • @Tyjo92 Agreed with you, this movie ruined the book for me :(

  • @OraOfSins

Have you read the book though? If not, please do! Don't let this awful movie ruin it for you. The Dollanganger Saga is just amazing!

  • @phoenixrage1 Couldn't have said it better myself. so pissed off at this stupid movie.

  • they screwed this movie up... i wish they would remake it right.

  • This movie was awesome! really scary

  • @baprig it wasnt scary to me but it was good

  • I saw this movie when it first came out.I was 8. I love the movie but read the book many years later. Not close to the book in a lot of ways. But i still like the movie. And the book series were good.Kristy Swanson is awesome.Would recommend the movie.

  • I saw this movie when it first came out.I was 8. I love the movie but read the book many years later. Not close to the book in a lot of ways. But i still like the movie. And the book series were good.Kristy Swanson is awesome.Would recoomend the movie.

  • Flowers in the Attic aired on This Tv about a couple of days ago, since by MGM Holdings Inc. & 20th Century Fox co-own the rights in the first place. But also, Flowers in the Attic is a creepy horror film.

  • if u wikepedia this movie there are a bunch of differences from the bok and movie

  • scary :S

  • The book was excellent. Kudos to Andrews for having the balls to tackle such a sensitive topic, despite the fact that sibling incest happens every day. The movie was a disaster. The incest issue, how Chris and Cathy became so attached to each other because there truly was no one else available and how those experiences, that intense bonding and physical attraction effected them the rest of their lives, form the heart of the book. If you take that out, the movie loses all meaning. It falls apart.

  • the book is a shocking read...

while the film is very 80s tv movie...with some hilarious scenes

  • I try to like the film but it is so watered down compared to the book that it really does not do a justice.

The book on the other hand is wonderful!

  • my favorite part of the movie is when the daughter tries to make the mom eat the poison cookie... "eat it! eat the cookie!!!" lol

  • @rancidglass yeah that was awsome!

  • @rancidglass lmfao me and my mom were watching a movie and I went and got us 2 oreos and i told her the same thing "Eat it! Eat the Cookie" she was crackin up"

  • the book was pure brilliance....the movie....disaster.

  • @TheMusicAngel444 lol, I hated the grnadmother to. I watched the movie like, two nights ago, and it was pretty good, except i think they left some stuff out

  • my mom told me about this book, and I just finished it! It is so good! But the movie... had anyone seen it? is it any good?

  • @Gamerscanbgurls4 never read the book but i liked the movie. it was sick and twisted.

  • @LagBoy86 totally

  • @LagBoy86 read the book it was the best

  • BOOK!! I LOVEE(L) xxxxxxx (': Amd im 12 lmaooo(;

  • what is this about?

  • Comment removed

  • I have to say that I just finished the book, and it's the best thing I ever read, but I'm not going to watch this. Dogs? Since when where there dogs? -_- haha

  • I would really like to see a remake.... In the book the daughter slept with her mothers Corrine husband for revenge!!! Someone needs to remake this movie it's horrible compared to the book!!!!

  • saddest movie ever

  • I thought Louise fletcher was a hot sexy mama in this movie!!! I think i was 9 when i first watched it!!!! Dirty slack milf with that whip... hahaha

  • I love V.C andrews books soooo much! Does anyone know where to get the movie of Rain with the prequeal included? I'm not interested in the moive... I only want to read the prequeal sooo bad! :) So please, if you know e-mail me :)))

  • I saw the movie and i thought it was awesome!! one of my favorites!! not to interested in reading the book......

  • @ngiroux4 Believe me, you're doing wrong.

  • looks horrible. this is one of those movies that i wouldnt want to see because it would ruin the book for me. i hope they make a remake though! a better version :/
