  • @VelvetViolator Rocky suffers from MS and is unable to perform any more.

  • @Doowopski @Doowopski You're kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? Are there any homepages, newspaper snippets??

  • @VelvetViolator Rocky contracted MS somewhere around 1990 and has steadily deteriorated over the years. Nothing very public about it that I am aware of.

  • @Doowopski Oh that's such a shame. And how bad it must be for such an agile man that he seemed to be (videos).

You can contact me anytime when you get aware of some news.

  • @Doowopski That sucks.Rocky was always a good act to see.

  • @Doowopski Rocky and the replays always got people up and dancing. Damn, they were good.

  • I saw Rocky Sharpe and The Replays supporting Cannon and Ball at the Manchester Apollo in 1982. Magnificent.

  • 0:21- 0:24- Proof that Rocky Sharpe is the coolest man alive

  • These guys are too cool for school.

  • @MrValenciaLou

Kind of hard to ruin a great tune when THEY WROTE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

  • @violentgamer4 uhm. no. it was originally released by the edsels, 20 years BEFORE this.

  • @xmethadoneprettyx Either way, nothing was ruined.Besides,it doesn't take a music buff to figure out this was a 50's to early 60's song.It practically screams Broadway musical.Plus, people seemed to like this version better,so nothing was messed up.S'all good.

  • @violentgamer4 I never said they ruined it, I actually like this version, too. Just wanted to point out the song wasn't originally theirs. ;)

  • 0:21

  • I just wish the song was longer, so I don't have to replay it over and over again.

  • ahh they dont make songs like this anymore :D x

  • MrValenciaLou

Just the sort of asinine comment one associates with our intellectual allies from across the Atlantic.

Stick to the Monkees, Britney & Hannah Montana you Philistine ( & no, that's not someone who comes from Palestine!)

  • SUCH A NICE DAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY TODAY!!!

  • These guys belong in the "TOILET". The complete destruction of a great tune!!

  • @MrValenciaLou get a life

  • einfach nur geil

The sunglasses are a fantastic idea. Nicolas Cage was a great singer... LOL!!!

  • You can't find music like this anymore

  • @SlytherinBitch93 you could listen to the original. this version is an embarrassment.

  • Great song! Funny goal anthem too (VfL Wolfsburg)

  • seemed great at the time

  • If you like this and it is mimed, have a listen to a great version by The Delltones,

    it is all live.

    Cheers

    M

  • though he definitely is faking the saxophone, because it keeps playing after he witches back to vocals

  • I really like this ^^ The guy on the left is a great singer. Andd the two pairs of sunglasses are a nice touch xD

  • you realise he's miming, dont you?

  • I actually dont think the lead singer is, because it doesnt sound the same as the original track. The backup vocals are definitely though, because they move way away from the mic with no volume change.

  • hmmm im not sure...but we cant prove it anyway - cool song and very funny lead singer!

  • das is doch bullshit der sänger passt noch wesentlich besser dazu als der des Originals das hier swing viel mehr !

  • ....the two sunglasses are class!! HAHAHA!! very clever idea haha.

  • loveing the glasses

  • Epin win. lol

  • always thought it cool the way he took off his glasses & had another pair on underneath !

  • Like this version.

  • is rocky sharpe blind?

  • No.He´s use sunglasses because gonna be protected for the sun.Of course is blind. And have a dog.

  • dont make me mad. and its because every picture i see of him he has sunglasses on.

  • this is so great

    hello from croatia:)

great gernman band of late 70s

  • Not German. They are from England.

  • Don´t be stupid.Aren´t German.Are you Serbian or Yugoslavian?.Its the same...

  • oni 15 n bloodi love this lol x

  • a great remake of an edsels classic

  • I think you'll find that this song was first a hit in about 1959 - sometime before Grease. But Grease remains a great celebration of the 50s even though the songs were written specially for the show and then the film.

  • For some reason I first felt that this song was inspired somewhat by Grease. This performance is dated after that film came out. I can well imagine this being played at the Rydell High Prom.

  • Yeah...this song was way before Grease...

  • 0:21 - 0:24 GENIUS :)

  • nice ^^

  • I love this Song!

  • His sunglasses XDDDDD

  • Its the guys gimmick I think. He wears those glasses in all his apperances

  • as a yank, this is the first time I've seen these guys, what great entertainment. Were they all from England?

  • The move with the sun glasses has got to be one of the smoothest stage gimmicks I've seen in ages. Great fun every time I see it!

And the fact that the song is complete gibberish helps! Great song!

  • irgendwie cool!!!

  • rocky sharpe for ever!!!!! son la ostias , solo les falta ser españoles!!!!

    kill a komunist for crist.

  • BEHOLD!! underneath my glasses are....

    ANOTHER PAIR OF GLASSES!!!!!

  • hehe - g1

  • but who does that apart from him

  • @KaoruxKenshin his jokes are getting old

  • who tha fuck wears two sunglasses!!?? hahaha

  • i like it

  • IIRC December 14th 1978. this one has got to be a smash!
