As long as you follow the basic rules of handball you can do almost whatever you want. You are allowed to run with the ball for 3 steps -To hold the ball for 3 seconds -Unlimited dribble with 3 steps allowed before and after dribbling (no double-dribble).

you are not allowed to contact the ball below the knee - To pull, hit or punch the ball out of the hands of an opponent

Your head is ok, leg over knee is ok and all other bodyparts thats not below the knee :)

Probably not true that long ago, the males were less physical back then too. Most games have become more physical over the last years, including male and female handball.

Either way a player that talented will always get to chances or at least draw so much attention that the rest of the team gets it much easier. So possible or not, I'd take Anja Andersen on my team any time. :)
