@WlNDMlLL You really want to get down to the facts right? Disney didn't create the story of little mermaid and Alice in Wonderland. Those stories are very old and have existed even before disney has. Alice in Wonderland was written in 1865 and Walt Disney himself was born in 1901. The Little Mermaid Is by a famous Dutch Poet
@BubbleTeaCrazed215 No, I realize that. I was aware of Alice in Wonderland's author, Lewis Carroll. I wasn't aware The Little Mermaid was a Dutch poem, however. That's interesting.
@WlNDMlLL So I mean is there really any point to comparing them? We all have different opinions. Plus the two companies have the same goal, to just make things for children and adults to watch and be happy with. To me they are two very different companies that have so much talent and much respect for one another. They don't see each other as competition but more as comrades. So why should we, the viewers be comparing them if they themselves are supporting each other?
@BubbleTeaCrazed215 I'm not comparing them. I'm stating a fact. Hayao Miyazaki has said what his inspirations were. And I iterated them here. No subjective reasoning and comparing and contrasting, just stating facts. That said, as viewers it is important for viewers to be critical. Critical evaluation includes comparing it with other movies of the genre(s). That's how the genre evolves and gets better. Same with any other art form.
All awesome... but dude... how could you leave out PRINCESS MONONOKE? It is arguably Miyazaki's greatest work! I simply can't help any collection of Miyazaki is incomplete without it. Nevertheless, awesome lineup!
@WlNDMlLL Ok either you're a Disney fanboy and angry at what I said, or you think I said Ghibli should learn something from Disney. What I meant was Disney should learn how to make good movies from presenting Ghibli all the time. And if someone said Disney was better than Ghibli, I would agree that they were ignorant.
@Jxudo I'm not a Disney fanboy. You're ignorant because many of Studio Ghibli's films have been inspired by Disney films. Lmao. And you're saying Disney should learn from Ghibli when Ghibli's creations are only what they are because of Disney. Derp herp you're intelligent.
@Jxudo Hayao Miyazaki has said in interviews what his movies were based off of. You just made yourself sound very ignorant. Now it's easier to discredit you and what you've said entirely :). Thanks!
@WlNDMlLL It's funny how people say things like that all the time but never have any prof. Give me a link to him saying that and then I'll believe you.
@Jxudo I didn't realize people not posting proof (not prof) is funny. You have a peculiar sense of humor. You're not allowed to post links on YouTube, kiddo. Look it up on wikipedia. Ponyo is inspired by the Little Mermaid. My Neighbor Totoro is inspired by Alice in Wonderland. GG.
@WlNDMlLL I didn't say put it in the comments. There is such a thing as a message. Neither of those movies have anything to do with each other. And so what, Disney still could learn to make better movies from Ghibli.
my neighbor hates these movies..... FUCK HER!!!!!! she will go to hell for saying that!

This is what film making is REALLY about! Not a bunch of random crap and jokes. Film making is about telling a good story.
