I was about 14 when I first went to Martin. The person that took me was John Kuhn's Dad. He introduced me to Ron Vochaska. I spent quite a bit of time Hanging out with John and was with him when we went to Ron's gas station several times. Thanks for the videos they bring back many good memories. My Grandson has ridden in John;s T Bolt and has a photo of him standing by it for his profile photo on Facebook. Keep on posting the videos.
Great job, John!! Great video of some great times at the drag strip back then and now!! Yes, RUFF"N"REDDY was a real crowd pleaser and one of my favorites too! It's wonderful how this whole experience has evolved! Thanks for putting this great piece of history together!

John, i just got your e-mail ..... and all i can say is THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!! You are an awesome gentleman for producing this tribute video of my Dad! He is my Hero <3 and as i am writing this... we are in the works of building another strip/street car now! Hoping to have it ready by next yr, so Dad and i can go back to where "Vochaska Motorsports" all started... Martin U.S.131 Dragway :)
@kibbiegirl1 THANK YOU Vicki, for sending me all the awesome photos of your Dads car! They really made the video! So you're going racing next year? Let me guess what you're going to name your car... Ruff'n Reddy II I'll be there to cheer for you guys! Now where'd I put my old 8mm movie camera.....
We had a guy here that ran at the Pocono Drag lodge, who had a 40 willy's he had a small block and 2, 4's and a 4 speeder.
It was said he had 2 speeds off and 9 grand, a great site to see, one weekend I saw him com up to the line stage, go to 9 grand and when he let out the clutch the engine scattered, the trans blew and the rear end shit.
@MrMadden73 I asked Ron the same question. He said he sold the car around 1970 to a guy who painted it black and chromed it up and and turned it into a show car. It's current whereabouts are unknown. Thanks for the nice comment!
