  • I've made it down there to the 50 mile markers wit a 2wd truck easy but you have to run the beach

  • lol 5:25 shoot! that could be a piece of an airplane.... haha..

  • Great video...really enjoyed it

  • You drive like that on our beaches (in NC) you get arrested haha. I like. You have some good videos. Keep on man, keep on.

  • reminds me when i use to camp South padre island! Nice vid, but I was hoping for more info what tackle and more like how to fish for good fish , Action! thanks

  • Well, the title of the video is "Finding a place to fish in the surf 4X4". go to my website for all the fishing info and thensome.

My videos are pretty specific on the subject matter.

For the past couple of years i've been putting together enough videos for a full DVD on surf fishing basics.

  • howzit braddah!!! you have a hawaiian fan..here in hawaii we fish for giant trevally "huge jack"150lbs plus,we catch them from shore sorta like how your style is, our gear is just a little more bigger, we use 12 to 13 ft stiff rods matched with extended pen 4/0 or penn 6/0 filled with 300 or 400 hundred yards of 60-80lb test, we use whole octopus"tako" pronounced "tako" i myself use "puhi" pooh-he thats eel. i was wondering if there was any trevally or crevally down where you fish?

  • Yeah we have "Jackfish" but being that we dont really have any reefs with deep drop offs, they don't get as big as 150 lbs off the beach. We usually use crabs for bait, I didn't realize they like Eel too.

When I rig my reels I use a 20ft long, 50 lb "shock leader" and fill my reel with 20-30 lb test. this way I have 600 yds to play with and when the fish is in close enough to handle the shock leader I can horse him on shore

  • I'm new to surf fishing, but I love it. I have a 4wd F150 that will soon need new tires. Should I get an agrressive tread or something more like a road tire for soft sand driving? Let me know.

  • NICE VIDS MAN

  • Thanks! If you go to my website I have a 5 part section on beach driving that may interest you. I'll add the link in the information next to the video.

Pleae RATE & Comment on the videos.

  • Great video.

  • The truck in this video is not my truck, I borrowed the (Bigger) truck because my brother was up ahead of me in a 2 wheel drive truck, I had to pull him out 3-4 times (2+ hours of digging and pulling) at the time my truck was a little white 84' Toyota 4x4.
