Anyone who's ever made a lemon or potato battery knows that you need two dissimilar metals for this to work (preferably zinc and copper)

While the gatorade may have the needed electrolytes, there isn't any potential difference, also known as voltage, because the two sides of the circuit are exactly the same.

Hm, the box is there because there's a whole under the box leading through two chords. One chord isn't attached to anything, so you attach the lose end to the orange. The other is attached to the ipod and when you get the first chord (connected to the orange) into the orange someone else, or the camera man plugged in the actual ipod into the wall, or the computer, makeing the ipod appear as though the orange is charging it.. FAKE.
