According to the book "The Only Living Witness" (a great book on Bundy btw), that whole thing with his believing his mother was his sister simply wasn't true, He always knew his mom as his mom. He did enjoy living with his grandparents though, and didn't want to move to Washington.

Ted Bundy was maybe the "best" (bad choice of words I know) as far as serial killers go simply because he was educated, seemingly distinguished, cunning, and a good con artist. He could change his appearance drastically if need be as well. For a long time, he was able to put on this facade and hide the monster inside him very well. If not for just some really silly blunders on his part (especially after his escapes), it might have been a long time before he was caught.

It was a known fact he would pick women up at hotel sometimes and my mother was coming out of the hotel and he followed her.
