mlk is the only true 5a school in dekalb with only 1800 or more students. Redan has been underclassified but since there football team was decent they have been kept in 5a. But now there sorry so there moving dowwn a divison just like Lithonia did last year. Stephenson will stay in 5a as long as there football team does good unless there coach just wanted to because they qualified. (wouldnt be a bad idea for there football team)

Why would we play down and we have the best football team in DeKalb County..It use to be tucker but we played them in scrimmage and beat them and we beat mlk 20-0 and the rest of the Dekalb county football teams arent a threat.

But I was mistaking about SWD moving to our region, but we "suppose" to play them in the off region game. But I know Stephenson dosen't play Redan anymore, the only DeKalb County schools in the region is MLK and SHS. Also Langston Hughes,Westlake,Newnan,East Cowetta,Newton is in the region to, Redan and Douglass is with SWD,MGHS, and Lithonia.I think its stupid how they did it.

It dont matter if your dad is a band director, if you dnt know shit about ur own band because if mlk is 130-140 then yall 160 becuz yall aint that much bigger than them ecspecially since yall only maching about 8 tubas this year. and the only reason chms may be so good is because b4 they get to 9th grade they already had 3 or 4 years experience marchin with swd. we just prove ourself 2 b the best becuz how many bands , good bands in dekalb county can go through 3 band directors and still maintain a good rep and sound. if seda left swd would crumble, if moore left redan they would crumble and if mlk band director left they would crumble and miller grove, all these bands would crumble. @djunior2011 Yes Douglass and Redan is in the region with Lithonia in the new region(2010-2011 school year). I know Redan and Doug wasant in yall region(2009-2010 school year) because they was in our(Stephenson) region. Thats what it says on the GHSA website.

mlk is the only true 5a school in dekalb with only 1800 or more students. Redan has been underclassified but since there football team was decent they have been kept in 5a. But now there sorry so there moving dowwn a divison just like Lithonia did last year. Stephenson will stay in 5a as long as there football team does good unless there coach just wanted to because they qualified. (wouldnt be a bad idea for there football team)

Stephenson has more than 1800 students. And what you mean by it wouldnt be a bad for stephenson to play down??? Why would we play down and we have the best football team in DeKalb County..It use to be tucker but we played them in scrimmage and beat them and we beat mlk 20-0 and the rest of the Dekalb county football teams arent a threat.

Maybe if stephenson moved to 4A they could win a damn state championship. What good is it to go undefeated and have the best team in the county if you can go past the second round in the playoffs?

@swatlful Yea true We never won a state championship but the schools who have won have been open way longer than Stephenson.The only schools in DeKalb to win state was SWD and Tucker but look how long it took them to do it.The 2 best f-ball programs in DeKalb have never won a state championship,& by puttin Stephenson in 4A it would be the same becuz we would dominate the region just like 5A it dosent matter what region we in we still will dominate.And im hopeful we will win next skool yr.

Yea it is true go to google and type in "ghsa football regions ajc" and it should say something about Reclassification. But I was mistaking about SWD moving to our region, but we "suppose" to play them in the off region game. But I know Stephenson dosen't play Redan anymore, the only DeKalb County schools in the region is MLK and SHS. Also Langston Hughes,Westlake,Newnan,East Cowetta,Newton is in the region to, Redan and Douglass is with SWD,MGHS, and Lithonia.I think its stupid how they did it.

(2010-2011). Right now the regions should play the same teams you played in football this school year for basketball, but next school year is when everything is gonna change. Thats what google, the ajc, and Stephenson's head Football coach said when I asked him the other day.

@marchingbandman Yea Lucky for you! I graduate in 2011. But yea the schedule is gonna suck for MLK and Stephenson. Westlake,Langston Hughes, and Newton show-style bands but they not that good.
