the whole point of building a sample player with the arduino is to have a simple, non-computer way of doing basic sample playing, and without buying a thousand dollar sampler with too many features.
arduino is very cool, though recently i've been more into building a multi-synth... check out the newest video i posted - bad quality video, but you can hear what i'm up to.

wouldn't you be able to utilize more functionality when you would hook the arduino up to a computer? instead of storing audio on a flash card
nice work though, been wanting to make something with the arduino, nice kits :) But it all seems a bit daunting at first glance.
