You can go see the movie if you want to see it. I am African American and Steel Magnolias (a predominantly white cast of women and men) is one of my favorite movies. It's not about being colored (African American), it's about being a woman and having a story to tell and overcoming obstacles. The women represent different colors, red, brown, orange, yellow, blue, green, white. Go see it. You may like it.

Beau Willie is a drunk and the mother to his kids , The Lady in Brown, (Kimberly Elise) has his 2 kids. So he comes to her apartment saying he's good and he's turned his life around. He wants to hug the kids and the kids are crying for him, so Lady in Brown lets them go to him. He then grabs them, and holds them out the window, saying that he will drop them unless she marries him.
