@Elguero060897 Seguramente Microsoft queria que sus usuarios probaran todas las caracteristicas nuevas de Windows 7 que vienen en Ultimate, para luego escoger la edicion final. Y si sabia lo de Home Basic, aunque es un reemplazo ''barato'' del Aero original que no incluye los efectos de transparencia, pero que se ve mejor al de Starter.

Definitely better than XP, and come on, what's NOT better than Vista? Vista is complete trash compared to Win 7, which feels like Linux/OS X responsiveness and just feels great.

dejavu121, now, now... You're a Mac user like me, but you have to admit the same thing. If Microsoft comes back from Hasta La Vista, our hat is off to them. Say it. You know it's true. And I'm talking no overhead that makes you have to get 12 gig of RAM into your system and do some major hardware upgrades. After all is said and done, the OS makes the man. Not the hardware. Hardware is good. But, without the lifeblood, there is no real computing.

Well I just assume there will be another Beta/Release Candidate out before this Beta expires.

Or who knows, maybe Windows 7 will be Final before August.

So it's just a matter of upgrading your current Beta with a newer version. Or if you really want Vista back: you would have to re-install.

I think that's because this is still the beta version. If you remember before longhorn got renamed to vista that looked exactly like XP with added features. I would expect beta 2 to look a whole lot different.

The start-up time is not really different from Vista, although I'd like to think it's a bit faster logging in.

The overall performance is not worse or much better than Vista. But the way you can work with Windows 7 could be a lot faster do the improvements on the User Interface.

Windows 7 Beta 1 you can get drivers most vista 32bit drivers work on windows 7 if a vista driver cant run them use winrar to open its up & look for the vista32 src file then use plug&play open that src file there u go make sure the newest driver

Well there is a little problem: I'm running this Windows 7 within a Virtual Machine (VMware) which doesn't support a graphic card that can do Aero :(
