  • i feel like playing Arcanum Game. Awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • love it

  • Music for a graveyard, and I mean that in the best possible sense.

  • This isnt the radiohead jonny greenwood is it?

  • @Deathder Yes sir, it is.

  • @Deathder yes, it is

  • @Deathder It is! :D

  • I´d love to have the sheet msuic... sooo much....

  • at about 2:00 and 2:06 before the strings play, i heard a noise almost like an inhale. is it something the instruments are doing or what?

    Hmm..

  • i noticed that, i dont know what it is, but it sounds kinds cool

  • @reCupcake Most likely the people playing whatever instrument it is that requires blowing of air.. breathing in :D

  • @Iliketogodumb well yeah lols, but kinda funny how it was picked up on the track x)

  • @reCupcake It sounds like the player is inhaling, sometimes performers take deep breaths while performing.

  • This is a great work.

  • im not really a fan of this type of music, but this is just a great song

  • You're both idiots

  • they came home and (re)watched transformers x)

  • Best track on the album...moving, really.

  • Daniel Day-Lewis was fucking awesome, but it could be argued that the music is the real star of this movie.

  • thejob: Well it did have more 'on' screen time. ;)

  • Hmm... I don't understand why this wouldn't win best soundtrack.

  • It contained a song from another project so wasn't eligible to be nominated.

  • He didn't plagiarise. The soundtrack consists of work he had done for other projects. It was all his.

  • how the hell can you be suspect of "plagiarism" when it was somthing he already wrote >????

  • Some of the score in There Will Be Blood was originally intended for a record he did.

  • asshole

  • it was something he composed himself. to be precise, the litigious song was 'CONVERGENCE', the music during the explosion scene, which featured in his other O.S.T.

  • Where can I find some of this music?

I've been trying limewire, however, with no results!

  • in any good record store :)

  • Radiohead and Greenwood specifically care, but still..

  • Yes. The songs they design make up a good deal of their livelihood.

  • Woops. I meant they DON'T really care. Typo.

  • radiohead actually enjoys those kids of things because it ruins recording companies and distributes their music

  • yeah they dont care, they allowed people to download in rainbows for free

  • Well, if they themselves said they don't, then I am obviously wrong about them caring, aren't I?

But to Evan: you cannot live on fame alone, and this is why the GPL license permits those who develop under it to sell their programs.

  • i saw this movie yesterday and i have this music on my mind the hole night... it hears like having sex...

  • the music was one of the factors that made this such a great movie.

  • technically it's not an original score because he used pre-material from "popcorn superhet receiver", brahms, and arvo part. it's a great soundtrack but the academy always turns down great contenders because of technical bullshit. it's why "the thin blue line" didn't win best documentary. it was entered under nonfiction, not documentary.

  • Yes. Once again the Oscar show how dumb they are by not even giving a nom to what has to be the best or if not one of the best scores in 20 years.

  • jesse james had a outstanding score also..

  • Beautiful. They Jonny Greenwood should just bitch-slap the academy and take the Oscar for best original score.

  • @FungusToes - could not agree more! Sublime.

  • @FungusToes The gaycademy didn't nominate him because it used older material in his soundtrack (convergence).

  • @Mr11MUSICMAN wow, that IS f*ing gay..."convergence" is timeless!

  • @facecheek I know right?

  • @FungusToes nice username& and did he take the academy award?

  • @FungusToes The reason they couldn't nominate Jonny for an Oscar is because their guidelines state that no sections or music from an original score can be taken or reprised from another composition. Unfortunately, they composition titled "Proven Lands" among others had sections taken from Jonny's piece "Popcorn Superhet Receiver," which was composed a few years before he scored There Will Be Blood. :(

    I feel your pain.
