I didn't really like Alien Carnage. I was more of a Duke Nukem 1 and 2, Crystal Caves, Bio Menace, Commander Keen, and such. Apogee side scrollers around the time of Alien Carnage and such kinda blended together.

The best game in the Alien Carnage era was Mystic Towers. :)

great review! I played a shareware version of Halloween Harry back in the day, I think it only had only 3 stages in it. I thought it was really cool at the time, but since I only played a few stages of the game, I never noticed those flaws back then. Plus I was a kid =D

Oh, and having a tutorial several hours into the game, I experienced that not too long ago. I played Dark Watch for xbox, the tutorial is literally halfway through the game.
