god these were awful, I had a The one pet, that had the powered brushroll and when it was empty it was absolutely fantastic, the hose and tools were one of the best i've used on an upright. But the filtration was absolutely hopeless and the motor was just too weedy. It would clog and loose suction after just one room to the point where it would over heat and cut out. Shame, they were a funky design
That thing is loud. I have a Shark Navigator love it. I can go from carpet to tile with one switch of a button and it doesn't sound like a jet plane is taking off in my house.
It's actually no louder than most other cleaners. It's just got a high-pitched ring to it which the camera exaggerates. If it sounds too loud, turn your speaker volume down a little!
boy you are a cute guy its nice to see someone who likes vacs as I do, I don't have a collection yet but it is nice to see your collection and how yours work so well.
It's excellent, 310 airwatts when the cleaner's empty...of course, that vanishes when the filters clog after 10 mins! And the cleaning power's compromised by the hopeless brush-roll. On the later versions, they totally redesigned the cyclone chamber and filters, which made it's performance much better.
I've actually just bought one of those myself - a Performer HPer16 - but it arrived damaged. Thus, I haven't been able to use it because I'm sending it back for an exchange.
In the Performer, the cyclone system is totally different, and looks much more efficient. The brush-roll is still very poor, though - flimsy soft bristles and no beaters.
Once I get one which I can use, I'll let you know how it does.
I don't know if it is your camera or what but every sound that vacuum makes is really bad, especially the hose. It makes me squirm it is so bad!

The guy behind these videos is good looking and the videos are all very good, nearly every model is here. Please post a DC01 video if you have one.

(Covers ears)AAHHH!! I can see why that was not a popular model. It was cheaply made and noisy

thats the 1 dyson sued hoover over !
if the bearings seizing up you need service .
BonezThePoet 3 years ago
No, Dyson sued Hoover over their Vortex models, since it used multiple cyclone chambers, infringing on Dyson's patent.
The bearings aren't seizing up, I haven't used this machine other than to make the video. It's as-new.

do you have a Vortex ?

I know this was a shit cleaner because of the filters etc etc..but what is it like in terms of actual suction power?

So if I was to buy one of the new one's (like the one currently in argos) it would be much better?
