  • Why am i watching this :/

  • one question: Is there anyway that the brush on method can be done without the thickener?

  • @coolbionicle Yes, but you would waste a lot of silicone and you would have to apply many layers to get a decent thickness.

  • I have no use of this video. but I watch it cause its interesting :D

  • Can't seem to find your video about the mother mold. Maybe I'm just over looking it. Any help appreciated. Love your vids!

  • @boystape This was a plaster bandage mother mold. We didn't show the process on this mold but you can find it amongst our other videos if you search "plaster bandage mother mold process".

  • Looks so weird throwing that stuff down its throat

  • what do you mean by 7030 silicone? if i search it in the web, i dont find it.

  • @Mngzkhuel Go to the website listed at 9:40 and you will find it. We have several Tin silicones on our webstore that work great for brush on molds.

  • @brickintheyard I live in Germany. Is that silicone available here as well? To ship it all the way from America seems odd to me.

  • @Mngzkhuel Check with Mould Life in the UK.

  • 2:35 IT looks frozen :)

  • pls tell me names of alčl the material i need to make a mask PLEASE I NEED IT

  • @MrRobijass 9:37 is the list. 9:40 is where you get it.

  • where do you get the head molds?

  • @skaterboy1000000000 The clay heads were created from lifecasts made with accucast 880 molds.

  • what if you used acrylic and what if you use acrylic and let it dry and place it on your eye afterwards like how can you put this stuff on your face when it's dry? ( sorry if this is a stupid question, m8 )

  • were can you get this

  • @jojo56ist Order it from our webstore.

  • @brickintheyard thanks

  • is there a certain feel the silicone should have when your ready for a new coat?

  • @yankovic1234 Tacky but not gooey. If you can touch it without it transfering to your finger you are probably ready for another coat. Make sure you touch test in an inconspicuous area.

  • @brickintheyard also is there a cheaper type of silicone you guys have that i can make a negeative mold from a head carved out of klean klay and could be used for making a fiber glass positive

  • @yankovic1234 Check out our TinSil series.

  • if i were to carve a head out of klean klay, then make this negative silicone mold and make a mother mold, then could i make a positive mold out of fiber glass

  • @yankovic1234 Yes.

  • @brickintheyard GREAT! thanx, and keep making more great vids

  • can te positive new positive be made out of fiberglass with this type of silacone mold or do i need a different type of silacone

  • @yankovic1234 You can mold a fiberglass piece with this silicone.

  • if im making a a mold for use in casting my mask in your platinum silicone what do i need to make the mold out of?

  • how mutch does it cost to make one mask ?

  • Working out of a 16lb kit a single mask costs about $30.

  • @brickintheyard okey thanks :)

  • 2:18

    Eat that. lol. good video

  • @sdutango lmfao

  • so could i use Poly 74-30 Urethane for a mold and use Plat-Sil Gel 10 as a casting material? also how much would i need? ( i plan on doing one full head mask about 1/8th of an inch thick)

  • Yes, you can cast Gel-10 into 74-30. Our DVD "Fundamentals of Silicone Skins" covers that process in great detail.

  • thanks!

  • WOW! I love YouTube!!!

  • dude your awsome at this

  • Thanks again Mitch for yet another great video. I really can't wait until I have the time to get into mold making. (just so darn busy with prop and robot building at the moment!)

Really appreciate all the work you put into these videos, especially the narration. (too many lazy tutorials are just doing text these days)

  • Increase the volume of the narration though.

  • Need better microphone.

  • Thanks!

  • your videos are amazing :D
