I dont like this laptop at all! its only been 2 weeks since ive bought it and its already giving me problems! the salesman told me he will switch it with a new pavillion, i think im going to consider getting a whole different kind of laptop. sorry, this one didnt work for me! absolutely dont like it at all

i bought this computer and it is the biggest waste of money ever its overheats withing a half hour of boot, constantly freezes and my motherboard is fried and then i sent back to hp because if my warranty and they said that the damage was my fault, there customer service sucks, HP sucks!!!

I brought this with in a day, my RAM started to get faults, then I got Physical Memory Dump Crashes every day... the laptop gets to hot within an hour, don't buy this laptop. It looks nice, but do you really want to pay £750 for faults.

The defect is manufacturing and HP knows it.

HP should do a recall.

There are thousands of complaints of this type.

The service that HP provides to clients, it's horrible!

Here in Brazil we have DV6-3090BR as equivalent and some units come to market defective. From the 6Gb installed, only 3.74 GB are available, and HP has a service poorly.

does anyone have the edge to edge glass screen on dv6 or dv7? does dust go under it? do you have any problems with keys leaving their marks on the screen (it was a production flaw on earlier dv7's, keys sometimes left scratches and deformed the screen when lid closed)

There is an offer here (japan) Pavilion dv6a 2.0 Giga memory, 250 HDD, 2.2 GHz, 15.6" monitor etc. price 40,000 yen. Could anyone pl suggest whether its a good offer or just ordinary? Thanks.

@abed83a Judging by the conversion rate being that 40,000 yen is about $465 dollars yes that is a decent deal. Those specs are not all that great, though. The newer HP's have about double that in HDD space, memory and newer, faster CPU's, but for that kinda cash you're getting a nice laptop :)
