so the fly is already dead but i still dont quite understand as to how the maggots were capable of being released from its body and withstanding the bleach. I wish you wouldve given an explanation in step by step detail so it couldve been much easier for me to understand what was going on. I do have a few ideas as to what is happening but id much rather get the answer from someone who has the facts

That depends on what kind of fly. There is this species called Botfly(yes it exists) that lays its eggs on a specific target (the target they take depends on the location, example: humans) then the egg hatches on the human and the maggot feeds.

From what The617Viet said, Horseflies lay maggots straight from the butt like this one.

Yes it's disgusting, but we all know that flies are one of nature's biggest douchebags :)

ive checked and maggots do come from the flies eggs but the fly plants the eggs in rotting meat/flesh so the maggots can eat when they're born so it can be assumed that eaither the fly kept eggs inside of it and they were born when it died or another fly put eggs inside of it

Maggots are the most disturbing thing in nature. And dont think they just eat dead things. Last summer my cat got ill and decided to stay out all the time. When it finaly came home it stank. When i picked her up she had flys actually running around her fir. And then i realised the worse thing ever. She was being eaten by maggots!!! Fucking sick!

some species of house fly give "birth" to live maggots rather than eggs, which is good to know if you plan on swatting them....you better make sure you can find the body. i have nailed some with a swatter once, only to find them later with about 20 little maggots crawling away from the body in all directions. yikes.
