@111wizo Well, not really, The first came to the Famicom (Japanese NES). This was the second on the Gameboy then others came after that including a sequel on the Super Famicom (SNES). Yes, these came before Advance Wars for the GBA.

no offence to anyone who really likes the series, but I am so glad that we have better animation than that. It's strange, though. This used to be the pinnacle of video games, animation like this, but now, I could probably throw something kinda similar to this together if I really tried.

The very first "advance wars" was Famicom Wars for the Famicom. Japan only.

Advance Wars is about 20 years younger than Famicom Wars, and the entire series of games are known as the Nintendo Wars.

I believe the intro is meant to convey the idea of a viewer casually watching television; a happy day as usual. And then... BOMBED. It's war time.

And also, this game kicked ass, back in the day. The only problem was the long wait, while the Game Boy made its moves.
