hi bob man you dont do anything by halfs m8 this is going to blow every ones socks when it does take to the air im a builder my self but not anywere near your standard you go dude and all my best wishs and luck goes to you for the future
dont think im the only 1 in the uk watching this build rock on m8 keep inspiring us ;)
Bob, you're truly a builder after my own heart. My flying buddies have accused me of over-engineering and over-building everything, but I have never, ever suffered an in-flight structural failure. I find it's less expensive to put a .36 in place of a .25, or a .50 in place of a .40, to compensate for a few extra ounces of weight than it is to rebuild a busted airplane.
My only clue is that the part that looks like a deep pan will be mounted as a sort of tail cross section just under the rotation axis of the ailerons. Looking the video again I understand that the axis is for the ailerons, but it is not clear if you will use the steel rod or the carbon fiber tube (or both?). What is the plan with the canards?
He will make a bulkhead out of that. It goes in the tail. The round part goes in he round part of the tail under rudder. The block part goes up in the rudder between the two elevators. Took me a while to figure it out until he started showing the tail section mold.
AMAZING!!! But I gotta admit you've gotten a little to crazy with these RC planes. 1 GYNORMOUS! B1 BOMBER IS OK (in my books at least lol) but man you got like 2 other massive planes to work on. Jesus man you could start a freaking Air Force. Good Luck to you man. I'm anxious to see how you'll lay it up.
you know I have been it so fast latly I havent stoped to count I will figure it out in the end. Around 50.000.00 would be a good guess. only got it that cheep becouse of friends like butch and paul and cant forget DAD would realy cost a tun of cash with out them and every body out there that helped with cash a truly world wide effort to this modeling project. truly fantastic to be a part of the B-1b model project !!! thanks to every body!!!
"Slicker than a slug on a wet rock"...ha. I'm gonna use that line at least once before I die.

Hi,
Sorry, I could not figure out where that transparent plug if fitting in the plane and those massive axes unless I got fooled by the length?

Ok thanks, you confirmed what I was figuring out, but that looks so big (diameter) to fit inside the aft part as a cross-section.

Will the B-1 break the world record for the Biggest Rc plane? The current holder is the B-29.
Can't wait to see it in the air!!

what do you think the weight is going to be when the b1 is ready to fly ?

You kept talking about that bulkhead and I couldn't figure it out. Then you looked at the mold and I suddenly got it.
Damn, this is going to be a great airplane. I get more anxious with every video.

never did ask... what will your total costs be after the finished build?
