  • excellent performance. your superb musical aesthetic treats this timeless song of great beauty with the respect it deserves. The late Mr. Hardin, may he rest in peace, would probably be proud of your version. It adds beauty to a sometimes bleak world. Thank you.

  • @dugitomi - Thank you so much for your kind words.

  • amazing sound. thank you

  • @zwergi091 Thank you for the kind words, and taking the time to leave a comment. I apologize for the quality of the video and audio.

  • wow ! One of my all time favs. GREAT JOB.!

  • @mocalsa Me too, and thanks. Loved this tune the first time I heard it back in '63. I wrote an arrangement of it (as I recall) in '64 or '65.

... use to play it for my high school girl friend. Gee, that was a few months ago.

  • I could listen to this time and time again....day after day. Truly incredible.

  • Hi Chris, I had the pleasure of working with you at Sparks Exhibits. You introduced me to Edgar Cruz, i also been watching his video's on youtube. You as well as Edgar signed a cd for me. Glad to see your still playing. Can you guess who i am.

  • what a fantastic sound, love it!

  • Thanks kindly for the info. One major thing I forgot to ask, what tuning is this in?

BTW, just last week I went out and bought me a Taylor 414ce and a Fishman SoloAmp. I was blown away by both and just had to have'em. Could not find a SWR Blonde to try so I went straigth for the SoloAmp.

I keep listening to this tune and your other ones here. Love it!

  • DADGBE, Capo 2

  • Dam, That just sounds brilliant.

I am just starting to learn to play.

And i think that is the first song i wish to master.

Thankyou very much for inspiering me.

  • I like this a lot.... beautiful interpretation. What are you using to make that sound (i.e amp, chorus?). Is that a Taylor you have there? At first, I thought you were playing a 12 string. Great tune.

  • Dan -

Thank you for your kind comments. I was using my Taylor 314ce for that performance. I was using a SWR California Blond amp, and a bit of verb from a Behringer Virtualizer Pro DPS2024P through the effects loop.

  • I am a french guitarist and your interpretation is perfect.Marvellous sound and very good guitarist...Thank you very much for this video.JACQUES.

  • Jacques,

Thank you for your very kind comment. It's greatly appreciated.

    Chris
