Heh I had to remove a clone of this rogue earlier, only difference was this son of a bitch redirected you for just about anything. I was able to safely boot in Safe Mode though, and download Malware Bytes.

it dosent let me bot in safe mode it i hit fn f8 and it dosent do shit and i hit fn because you have 2 with this comp.... i tryed jus tthe f8 key but yea... no safe mode

@lovegunz1 Your have to try a Bootable rescue Disk like Kaspersky

@lovegunz1 I always use two keyboards when this happens. One usb and one old school. Hitting f8 on both gets me in usually. Either one by itself will fail.

Same problem here as a few others. Even in safe mode with networking the virus is still running in the background, it shuts down Malwarebytes when I go to scan for it and redirects webpages. It isn't listed in the Task Manager but there is a system process running that is simply a long string of numbers, could that be it? It won't stop when I try "end task." Any ideas?

@elwood147a Try booting into SafeMode with Command Prompt and then type: explorer.exe this should give you your desktop back. then delete it that way. I wish I had a copy of that version to show you.

Question! OpenCloud disappeared without me doing anything, I still ran malware, would it still come back or is it gone? I couldnt find OpenCloud in the system status either.

Im having trouble with this. Ive done all the steps you did, but when i install Malwarebytes and start to scan, it just closes. I try to open it again, but it says it cant find the file/path. Ive tried uninstalling it and installing it again, but it just does the same thing. Any tips? Thanks

@xKillaInstinct24x Unfortunately this app does not work. I downloaded successfully, ran a scan and then the program simply disappears from my screen. When I try to reopen the app from the desktop icon it prompts me that "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." I have disabled the Open Cloud Security .exe file as directed in your video, so it is not running.

@xKillaInstinct24x Best thing to do is boot into SafeMode with Networking. The rogue will not run there.

i had a rouge like this, except it would keep running even after i ended the process from task manager and it would keep closing the internet and it wouldnt let me run malwarebytes anti malware
