At the contrary, Eric has lost his charismatic and mysterious aura, not to mention he rocked with middle long hair : p

I think it's the makeup and hair stylists on this show. Bill has gotten really inconsistent makeup and hair (wigs?) over the last three 1/2 years. Eric's makeup and hair has been far better managed. Finally, whoever does Sookie's hair this season has finally figured it out, though the length of her hair from one episode to the other has confused me.
